Following the official GTA VI pre-order details shared today by Rockstar Games, Sony is now boasting through the PlayStation Blog that the massively anticipated game will "play best" on PlayStation 5. Sony said it partnered closely with Rockstar to leverage the console's key features, such as the 3D audio enabled by the Tempest Engine, which will allow players to fully immerse themselves in Leonida's distinct soundscape with enhanced, highly accurate audio positioning, bringing each unique situation to life. The PS5's SSD enables "near-instant load times" while moving across the state of Leonida. The main differences, however, are enabled by the […]

Killscreen has introduced the Killscreen SFC-1 controller, a new custom gaming controller that combines the classic look of the Japanese Super Famicom with modern features for today’s gamers. The controller is designed for both PlayStation 5 and PC users who want a unique gaming setup without sacrificing performance.
The Killscreen SFC-1 controller stands out with its retro-inspired design. It features a soft gray finish, dark gray controls, and colorful face buttons in blue, green, red, and yellow. The design pays tribute to the original Super Famicom, one of the most recognizable gaming systems from the 16-bit era.
According to Killscreen, the controller was created to bring back the excitement and charm of classic Japanese gaming hardware while offering the features modern players expect. The company wanted to capture the feeling of discovering the Super Famicom for the first time and turn it into a controller that gamers can use every day.
While the retro appearance is the main attraction, the Killscreen SFC-1 controller also includes several performance-focused upgrade options. Buyers can choose TMR Anti-Drift Thumbsticks, which are designed to provide greater accuracy and long-lasting reliability while reducing the risk of stick drift over time.
Players looking for faster controls can also select Mecha Triggers. These triggers use high-performance Omron microswitches to deliver shorter and quicker trigger pulls, making them suitable for fast-paced games. Mechanical face buttons are also available, offering a sharper and more responsive button feel.
Killscreen says the controller can be customized to match different play styles. Whether someone prefers a standard setup for casual gaming or a more advanced configuration for competitive play, the controller can be built to meet those needs.
The launch of the Killscreen SFC-1 controller expands the company’s growing lineup of retro-inspired gaming products. Previous releases have taken design inspiration from classic PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo hardware, bringing nostalgic looks to modern gaming platforms.
The Killscreen SFC-1 controller is available now through the company’s official website. With support for both PS5 and PC, it offers gamers a stylish way to enjoy modern games while celebrating one of gaming’s most beloved console designs.
The Steam Controller officially launched last month but sold out within minutes, leading to scalpers attempting to charge console level prices for the gamepad alone. Valve quickly decided to put together a reservation queue system for future stock, but those who signed up to it have an incredibly long wait ahead.
Valve has now updated the Steam Controller reservation queue system to give those who signed up an estimated order window for their controller. I myself signed up on May 9th, roughly 15 hours after the reservations first went live. Despite being signing up within the first 24 hours, my estimated order window is December 2026.
Those who signed up on May 8th as soon as the reservation list went live should have better luck, as Valve is also planning another wave of shipments ‘by September 2026', but if you were a little late to the party like I was, then you'll be waiting until the end of this year at the earliest and there is potential that you'll be kept waiting much longer than that.
Chances are, standalone Steam Controller shipments have been deliberately slowed down so that Valve will have enough of them to bundle with the Steam Machine, which is expected to launch within the next few weeks.
There will be bundles of the Steam Machine with or without the controller, but the controller bundle is expected to be the most popular option due to its console-like functionality, enabling the user to switch the Steam Machine on with the press of a controller button, just like an Xbox or PlayStation system.
KitGuru Says: If the waiting list is this bad for the standalone controller, I dread to think what the situation is going to be like for the Steam Machine itself.
DSX is a great tool for those on PC who enjoy using a DualSense controller. Serving as a conversion layer of sorts, the software allows you to fully customise your controller while also offering a ton of cool additional features, including the ability to translate audio outputs directly into haptic feedback for added immersion.
Up until now, many of the more advanced haptic features required you to have your controller connected via a cable (similar to PlayStation’s own native DualSense support on PC, with some exceptions).
Following months of teasers however, the team at Paliverse have now unveiled DSX version 3.2. Currently in beta, this update brings with it ‘Virtual DualSense with Audio Support’ – “allowing games to send native DualSense audio and haptics through DSX over Bluetooth or USB.”
It is worth noting that creating a virtual DualSense (which is required in order to unlock more advanced haptic features) does necessitate a one-time purchase of DSX+. The base DSX itself is also a paid product, but for many the roughly £10 asking price between the two is more than worth it for the added versatility on offer.
I covered DSX in-depth back in 2024, and since then the software has only improved in terms of features, stability and UX. Even so, this latest update marks a major milestone for the software, and means that using a DualSense on PC is now in some ways superior to its native experience on PlayStation 5. The full patch notes can be found HERE.
KitGuru says: What do you think of DSX? Is it worth the asking price? Why do you think Sony themselves haven't made advanced haptics work wirelessly across-the-board on PC? Let us know down below.
At Computex 2026, Arctic has revealed its upcoming hardware lineup, including the Freezer 61 CPU cooler series, a ten-channel fan controller, BioniX A-RGB fans, and the Xtender Mini PC case.
Available in black and white, the Freezer 61 CPU cooler features six heat pipes with a copper base. Arctic plans to offer the cooler in pull-pull or push-pull fan configurations, with A-RGB lighting options. These models include contact-frame support for both Intel and AMD platforms and are expected to launch in Q3 2026.
Also launching in Q3 2026 is a new fan controller capable of independent control and monitoring for 10 fans simultaneously. Still in the cooling segment, the new BioniX P12/P14 A-RGB Series fans minimise cable clutter via daisy-chain support. These fans pack 16 integrated A-RGB LEDs and claim to deliver P12 Pro-like performance.
Arctic's also entering the compact case market with the Xtender Mini, a Micro-ATX model featuring two-sided tempered glass that's slated for a Q4 2026 release. It accommodates up to seven fans and ships with four pre-installed, including three 120mm reverse fans at the bottom and a single 120mm fan at the rear. It will even be available in bundles featuring the Liquid Freezer III Pro.
KitGuru says: We look forward to seeing how Arctic's new cooling gear and compact case perform when they launch later this year.

Images and technical details of two unannounced Xbox controllers have leaked through Anatel, Brazil's telecommunications regulatory agency. The filings reveal a next-generation flagship gamepad, presumably the Xbox Elite Series 3, as well as a compact controller designed specifically for Xbox Cloud Gaming.
First reported by the Tecnoblog, the leaked Xbox Elite Series 3 represents Microsoft's first major refresh of its premium controller line since 2019. The most notable design change is the addition of two physical scroll wheels on the bottom edge of the controller, flanking the 3.5mm headphone jack. While early speculation points to potential implementation for simulation titles like Microsoft Flight Simulator or on-the-fly hardware adjustments, their exact in-game functionality remains unconfirmed.
The Elite Series 3 also marks a shift in power design, transitioning to a removable, rechargeable 1,528mAh battery pack, down from the non-removable 2,050mAh battery found in the Elite Series 2. The front layout retains swappable thumbsticks and a refined dish-style D-pad but adds a new dedicated pairing toggle underneath the Xbox button.
The second leaked peripheral is a pocket-sized, rectangular gamepad designed for the cloud and mobile ecosystems. Drawing immediate design comparisons to third-party retro controllers like the 8BitDo SN30 Pro, the device features short grips and a streamlined chassis. According to regulatory documentation, it is powered by a dual-core ARM Cortex-A7 Realtek chipset and includes a built-in 500mAh battery.
Both the Elite Series 3 and the compact cloud controller feature integrated dual-band Wi-Fi capabilities. This architecture allows peripherals to bypass a phone, tablet, or PC and connect directly to Xbox Cloud Gaming servers over a home network, similar to Google's defunct Stadia controller. Switching between standard and low-latency cloud mode is done via the button below the Xbox button.
Microsoft has not commented on the leaks, though a formal reveal is widely anticipated for the Xbox Games Showcase on June 7th.
KitGuru says: Even though pricing isn't known, an Elite Series 3 controller will never be priced accessibly. As for the unnamed compact Xbox controller, it might be more affordable for most gamers.
Turtle Beach has officially launched the new Pacific Skyline Wireless Controller for Xbox, PC, and Android devices. The company designed the controller with a colourful look inspired by the San Diego skyline and the California coast, where Turtle Beach first started.
The Pacific Skyline Wireless Controller comes with soft pastel colours, palm tree artwork, and six RGB lighting zones. The lighting creates a glowing skyline effect across the controller, giving it a unique style that stands out from standard gaming controllers. Turtle Beach says the design is made for players who want their gaming setup to match their personality.
Along with the eye-catching design, the controller also focuses on gaming performance. It features premium TMR thumbsticks that offer faster and more accurate movement during gameplay. The controller also includes dual rumble motors and impulse triggers for stronger feedback while playing racing, action, and shooting games.
Players will also get two mappable back buttons that can be customised for different controls and shortcuts. Wireless support is available for Xbox and Windows PCs through a USB transmitter, while Bluetooth support allows users to connect the controller to Android devices.
Turtle Beach says the controller is built for both casual and competitive gaming, while also giving players a more stylish option for their setup.

Spotted by The Verge, Brazilian regulator Tecnoblog has seemingly leaked a new Xbox controller made specifically for Xbox Cloud Gaming. Images of the new controller were published on Tecnoblog, and while it's still unclear as to when this controller could hit the market, not only does it look like it'll be ready for launch soon, but it also looks like Xbox took a page or two from 8BitDo's book of controller making. The face of the new gamepad and its finish are both reminiscent of 8BitDo's style of controller, so much so that when it is officially revealed, it may […]
SCUF Gaming has announced the Omega, a high-performance controller officially licensed for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Pro. The controller features 1K polling, Omron mechanical switches, and TMR thumbsticks designed for increased durability.
The SCUF Omega features 11 additional customisable inputs, including rear paddles, side-action buttons, and G-keys. For the first time, SCUF has introduced a dedicated mobile app for iOS and Android, allowing users to adjust trigger response curves, thumbstick deadzones, and rebind inputs in real time. The controller uses Omron mechanical switches for the D-pad and action buttons to provide tactile activation.
Hardware specifications include TMR (Tunnel Magnetoresistance) thumbsticks, which are engineered to resist wear and stick drift while maintaining traditional tension. The controller also features “Instant Triggers” for near-zero travel time and refined ergonomics, omitting vibration modules to reduce overall weight. When used on PC, the Omega supports a 1000Hz polling rate in both wired and wireless modes.
The SCUF Omega features a built-in rechargeable battery and supports fast charging. While compatible with the broader PlayStation ecosystem, the controller is specifically optimised for the PS5 Pro's hardware. Pricing for the SCUF Omega starts at £209.99/$219.99/€249.99 for the base model, with further costs for custom cosmetic configurations.
KitGuru says: Do you have a PlayStation 5 console? When you're looking for a new controller, is the standard DualSense enough for your needs, or do you prefer something more premium like the Omega?
The first of three new hardware products from Valve has finally arrived and is in players' hands, as the Steam Controller (2026) officially launched on May 4, 2026. When Valve first announced the controller alongside the Steam Machine and Steam Frame last year, it was cause for excitement. For anyone who remembers the first iteration of the Steam Controller (2015), 'excitement' for a new one isn't what you'd expect, but a lot has changed when it comes to Valve's hardware products since the Steam Controller V1 was discontinued in 2019. The biggest change, obviously, is the Steam Deck, which showed […]
Valve's launch of its new Steam Controller (2026) went great for the company, in the sense that Valve sold a lot of controllers. The entire run of stock that Valve had set aside for launch completely sold out within half an hour, and while many players were able to grab a controller, plenty more were unable to, unless they paid double the price for one on eBay, as scalpers quickly threw listings online with massively marked-up prices. Thankfully, Valve is looking to combat that outcome with some changes to its process. Beginning tomorrow on May 8, 2026, at 10am PT […]
Valve has released official 3D CAD files for the Steam Controller and Puck to support the hardware modding community. The release of these files follows a launch in which the new controller sold out shortly after it became available.
The technical package is available under a Creative Commons license and includes STP and STL models for the external shell topology of both the controller and the Puck. Valve also provided engineering drawings detailing critical features and “keep out” zones to assist designers in maintaining signal strength and functional clearances for third-party accessories.
The CAD files are intended to facilitate the creation of custom grips, 3D-printed stands, and other physical modifications. While the files cover the hardware's surface topology, they do not include internal component designs. Modders can access the repository via GitLab to begin developing accessories for the new platform.
The new Steam Controller launched on Monday as planned, but it sold out instantly and ended up in the hands of a number of scalpers trying to charge hundreds for it. Valve has admitted that demand was higher than it expected, but more stock is on the way.
In a message shared on social media, Valve said that the Steam Controller “ran out faster than we anticipated”, adding that the company hates that “not everyone who wanted one was able to get it”.
While some are now trying to flip the Steam Controller for hundreds of pounds in the UK, with similar pricing hitting the US and other regions, there is no need to pay these extortionate prices. Valve says that more stock is on the way and a timeline will be dropping soon.
Valve also appears to be preparing for its other hardware launches at the moment, with import records showing that tonnes of ‘game consoles' arrived on US shores this month.
KitGuru Says: Did you try to buy a Steam Controller at launch earlier this week?
Yesterday, Valve launched its Steam Controller (2026), the follow-up to its 2015 predecessor and an improvement based on the years of learning Valve took from developing that first controller, to the Steam Deck, and now this latest gamepad. The launch went about as well as you would hope if you're Valve. The 'Buy Now' button went live on Steam, the gamepad shot up to the top of the best-selling charts, and it sold out within minutes. The unfortunate part of that last bit was that it seems Valve wasn't fully prepared for a complete sell-out of the device. In an […]
Last night, the Steam Controller officially hit the Steam store and immediately sold out. Scalpers are already trying to sell the gamepad for far above its market value, but a new wave of stock could be landing soon, as import records indicate that Valve is preparing to launch the Steam Machine or Steam Frame very soon.
According to import records seen by The Verge, since the start of May, Valve has imported nearly 50 tonnes of ‘Game Console' product into the US. This would indicate that the Steam Machine (or potentially the Steam Frame) will be launching soon, as Valve is actively readying stock.
Valve originally planned to launch the Steam Machine, Steam Frame and the new Steam Controller by March 2026, but due to volatility in the memory market driven by unprecedented demand from AI data centres, all three products were delayed. The Steam Controller eventually launched on its own as a standalone product this week but instantly sold out, indicating either extraordinary demand or low volume. Valve may have opted to reserve some Steam Controller supply to drop around the same time as its other devices.
Valve has two major pieces of hardware coming this year. The Steam Machine is a console-sized gaming PC, aimed at bringing the Steam Deck experience to the living room, with much more capable hardware for driving games at higher resolutions. The Steam Frame is a standalone VR headset, intended to allow gamers to play their PC VR games wirelessly, or enjoy their non-VR games on a cinema-sized screen within VR. The Steam Controller is designed to work well with both, while also being suitable for Steam Deck and traditional PCs.
