Unlike daisy-chained fan hubs that share a single PWM signal, Arctic's Fan Controller allows users to configure unique speed profiles and monitor telemetry for every connected fan individually. Each header delivers up to 2A of current, with a maximum combined output of 4.5A across all 10 channels. Physical mounting relies on included magnetic or adhesive backing options for easy placement inside a chassis.

2026 marks the 40th anniversary of Nintendo’s The Legend of Zelda franchise. So far, the company has been somewhat quiet on the matter, with the only bits of Zelda-related news being official confirmation of the previous-rumoured Ocarina of Time Remake alongside some early looks at the upcoming live-action film.
According to insiders however, part of the anniversary celebrations will include the release of limited edition hardware, with known leaker ‘Shpeshal Nick’ taking to social media to claim that both a Zelda themed Switch 2 Pro controller and Switch 2 console are currently planned.
Details on these products remain light, but according to Nick these systems will be “Zelda themed’ and “not necessarily” tied to Ocarina of Time specifically.

Former Sony developer Brian “Biscuit” Watson has revealed an unreleased PlayStation 1 prototype called the PlayStation Puga, which housed an entire console inside a standard controller. Speaking on a podcast, Watson showcased the battery-powered device, which was originally engineered to bypass strict import regulations in the Brazilian market.
Talking to the YouTube channel The Retro Collective (via GamesRadar), Watson explained that the plug-and-play controller was designed for local manufacturing in Brazil to provide a low-cost gaming option. The hardware features an ARM-based processor running at 650MHz that handles software emulation, alongside 4GB of storage capable of holding up to 10 games. It connected directly to televisions via an included cable and could run for roughly 20 hours on four AA batteries.
Despite the project functioning well during testing, internal licensing disputes ultimately killed it before launch. Watson stated that Sony's licensing efforts struggled to finalise royalty terms with third-party publishers like Rockstar, which requested high fees. Complications also arose from internal Sony departments demanding higher payouts for first-party titles. Because the hybrid system targeted a low retail price, the business model was expected to allocate just 10 cents in royalties per unit sold.
While the showcased prototype boots into a debug stub, it cannot run retail games because the required system software is missing. However, the engineering work wasn't entirely lost, as Watson noted that the underlying software emulation framework eventually migrated into the Sony Xperia Play mobile device.

Spotted by Brad Lynch (via Notebook Check), the compatibility entry on SteamDB states that Portal 2 meets several core integration benchmarks for the unreleased headset hardware, rating the game as “Playable”.Functional elements include proper Steam Frame button glyphs, legible text rendering, and stable operation using default graphics configurations.However, the title's age prevents it from achieving a perfect verification tier.

The Steam Controller officially launched last month but sold out within minutes, leading to scalpers attempting to charge console level prices for the gamepad alone. Valve quickly decided to put together a reservation queue system for future stock, but those who signed up to it have an incredibly long wait ahead.
Valve has now updated the Steam Controller reservation queue system to give those who signed up an estimated order window for their controller. I myself signed up on May 9th, roughly 15 hours after the reservations first went live. Despite being signing up within the first 24 hours, my estimated order window is December 2026.
Those who signed up on May 8th as soon as the reservation list went live should have better luck, as Valve is also planning another wave of shipments ‘by September 2026', but if you were a little late to the party like I was, then you'll be waiting until the end of this year at the earliest and there is potential that you'll be kept waiting much longer than that.
Chances are, standalone Steam Controller shipments have been deliberately slowed down so that Valve will have enough of them to bundle with the Steam Machine, which is expected to launch within the next few weeks.
There will be bundles of the Steam Machine with or without the controller, but the controller bundle is expected to be the most popular option due to its console-like functionality, enabling the user to switch the Steam Machine on with the press of a controller button, just like an Xbox or PlayStation system.

DSX is a great tool for those on PC who enjoy using a DualSense controller. Serving as a conversion layer of sorts, the software allows you to fully customise your controller while also offering a ton of cool additional features, including the ability to translate audio outputs directly into haptic feedback for added immersion.
Up until now, many of the more advanced haptic features required you to have your controller connected via a cable (similar to PlayStation’s own native DualSense support on PC, with some exceptions).
Following months of teasers however, the team at Paliverse have now unveiled DSX version 3.2. Currently in beta, this update brings with it ‘Virtual DualSense with Audio Support’ – “allowing games to send native DualSense audio and haptics through DSX over Bluetooth or USB.”
It is worth noting that creating a virtual DualSense (which is required in order to unlock more advanced haptic features) does necessitate a one-time purchase of DSX+. The base DSX itself is also a paid product, but for many the roughly £10 asking price between the two is more than worth it for the added versatility on offer.
I covered DSX in-depth back in 2024, and since then the software has only improved in terms of features, stability and UX. Even so, this latest update marks a major milestone for the software, and means that using a DualSense on PC is now in some ways superior to its native experience on PlayStation 5. At Computex 2026, Arctic has revealed its upcoming hardware lineup, including the Freezer 61 CPU cooler series, a ten-channel fan controller, BioniX A-RGB fans, and the Xtender Mini PC case.
Available in black and white, the Freezer 61 CPU cooler features six heat pipes with a copper base. Arctic plans to offer the cooler in pull-pull or push-pull fan configurations, with A-RGB lighting options. These models include contact-frame support for both Intel and AMD platforms and are expected to launch in Q3 2026.
Also launching in Q3 2026 is a new fan controller capable of independent control and monitoring for 10 fans simultaneously. Still in the cooling segment, the new BioniX P12/P14 A-RGB Series fans minimise cable clutter via daisy-chain support. These fans pack 16 integrated A-RGB LEDs and claim to deliver P12 Pro-like performance.
Arctic's also entering the compact case market with the Xtender Mini, a Micro-ATX model featuring two-sided tempered glass that's slated for a Q4 2026 release. It accommodates up to seven fans and ships with four pre-installed, including three 120mm reverse fans at the bottom and a single 120mm fan at the rear. It will even be available in bundles featuring the Liquid Freezer III Pro.

Images and technical details of two unannounced Xbox controllers have leaked through Anatel, Brazil's telecommunications regulatory agency. The filings reveal a next-generation flagship gamepad, presumably the Xbox Elite Series 3, as well as a compact controller designed specifically for Xbox Cloud Gaming.
First reported by the Tecnoblog, the leaked Xbox Elite Series 3 represents Microsoft's first major refresh of its premium controller line since 2019. The most notable design change is the addition of two physical scroll wheels on the bottom edge of the controller, flanking the 3.5mm headphone jack. While early speculation points to potential implementation for simulation titles like Microsoft Flight Simulator or on-the-fly hardware adjustments, their exact in-game functionality remains unconfirmed.
The Elite Series 3 also marks a shift in power design, transitioning to a removable, rechargeable 1,528mAh battery pack, down from the non-removable 2,050mAh battery found in the Elite Series 2.
