Phantom Blade Zero’s Side Quests Can Change the Main Story — “Who You Are Depends on What You Do”
The official X account of Phantom Blade Zero has posted a brief video interview with S-GAME founder and creative director Soulframe Liang, in which the developer seemed to outline an Honor system not unlike the one in Rockstar's masterpiece, Red Dead Redemption 2. In that game, most player actions, such as helping strangers or killing innocents, affected a full-fledged morality mechanic that influenced NPC behavior, shop prices, loot quality, and even the story's ending. Fans understandably started to get excited about this. Very few games since RDR 2 have attempted something like that. However, Phantom Blade Zero's X account quickly clarified that there is no […]

Yellowstone Co-Creator and Battleship Director Will Look to Make a Call of Duty Movie That “Feels Real” With “Epic Scope” for June 2028
Almost a decade ago, Activision was looking like it would be moving forward with a Call of Duty movie. But it wasn't too much longer before that project was put on hold, and years later, here we are with no film based on the long-running military shooter franchise. Now, after rejecting a pitch from legendary filmmaker Steven Spielberg, Activision will look to make a film that "feels really real and infuses that with epic scope" off the backs of Yellowstone co-creator Taylor Sheridan and Battleship director Pete Berg in time for June 30, 2028. That's the latest update on the […]

Gigabyte launches Gaming series PSUs with T-Guard thermal monitoring
Gigabyte has announced the launch of its Gaming series power supply units, available in 750W, 850W, and 1000W capacities. The units feature T-Guard active thermal monitoring technology that monitors 12V-2×6 connector temperatures. The series carries Cybenetics ETA Platinum and Lambda A+ certifications and is fully compliant with ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 standards.
The T-Guard technology utilises integrated thermistors within the 12V-2×6 connector to provide real-time thermal sensing. According to Gigabyte, the system triggers immediate alerts when it detects overheating caused by loose cables or abnormal loads. In the event of dangerous temperatures, the PSU reduces power specifically to the GPU while maintaining operation for other system components, allowing users to save data before a manual shutdown.

Gigabyte's new series has earned the Cybenetics ETA Platinum and 80 Plus Gold efficiency ratings. Cooling is managed by a 135mm FDB fluid dynamic bearing fan equipped with HybridCool technology, which allows the fan to stop during low-load scenarios for near-silent operation. This configuration has resulted in a Cybenetics Lambda A+ silence certification, translating to an average noise level below 20dB(A).
The Gaming series includes a dual-colour 12V-2×6 cable design intended to provide a visual confirmation of a secure connection through clear colour markings. The units are constructed using 100% Japanese capacitors and are available in both Black and Ice (white) editions. Gigabyte provides a 10-year warranty for the 750W, 850W, and 1000W models.
KitGuru says: It seems thermal monitoring sensors on the PSU side will become standard. After MSI and Asus, it's now Gigabyte that's doing the same to give users some extra peace of mind when they plug in an expensive RTX 50 series GPU.

Late last year in a wholly unexpected announcement, it was revealed that Activision’s blockbuster annual FPS franchise Call of Duty would be receiving a film adaptation in partnership with the movie giant Paramount. While details remained light at the time, we have now gotten our first official update on the project – with the film set to premiere in a little over 2 years’ time.
Making the announcement during their recent CinemaCon appearance, Paramount Pictures officially confirmed that the live-action Call of Duty film adaptation will premiere in cinemas on the 30th of June 2028.
Alongside its release date, they also revealed who will helm the project, with Taylor Sheridan and Pete Berg serving as script writers – and the latter also taking on directorial duties.
While far from the most prestigious of directors, Berg has released a fair few films of note over the years, including the likes of 2003’s The Rundown; 2008’s Hancock; 2012’s Battleship and the Oscar-nominated Deepwater Horizon (nominated specifically for its sound editing and visual effects).
Speaking on this latest announcement (as transcribed by TheHollywoodReporter), Activision’s Rob Kostich claimed to have “told everyone we were only going to make a movie if it's right. In David Ellison [Paramount’s CEO], we found that partnership. We want to make sure that the authenticity of it is captured on a human level so that it feels really real and infuse that with epic scope.”
As a director, Berg has worked on many different action-packed films, many of which also manage to include enough emotion in them to make for a compelling story. As such, it will be highly interesting to see what direction they choose to take the Call of Duty film in – especially given that the source material stretches from WWII all the way to the far flung future.
KitGuru says: What do you think of this latest announcement? Do you have any interest in this Call of Duty film? What era of COD would you like to see the adaptation tackle? Let us know your thoughts down below.

- Alienware brings affordable Alienware AW2726DM 27-inch 240Hz QD OLED gaming monitor for gamers
Alienware brings affordable Alienware AW2726DM 27-inch 240Hz QD OLED gaming monitor for gamers
Alienware has introduced a new gaming monitor that makes QD-OLED technology more reachable for everyday users. The new model, Alienware AW2726DM, comes with a price of $350, which is much lower than most QD-OLED monitors in the market.
This monitor is made for gamers who want to move on from normal LCD screens and try something better without spending too much money.

The Alienware AW2726DM features a 27-inch display with a 2560 x 1440 resolution. It uses a Fast QD-OLED panel that supports a 240Hz refresh rate. This means smoother gameplay and better motion clarity, especially in fast games. It also offers a very quick 0.03 ms response time, which helps reduce blur during movement.
Colour performance is also strong. The monitor covers 99% of the DCI-P3 colour space, which means colours look rich and accurate. It supports HDR10 as well, giving better contrast and brighter highlights in supported content.
For smooth gaming, the Alienware AW2726DM monitor includes AdaptiveSync and AMD FreeSync Premium. However, there is no support for NVIDIA G-Sync, which some users may notice.

In terms of connectivity, the monitor includes one DisplayPort 1.4, which allows full 240Hz performance at 1440p. There are also two HDMI ports, but these are limited to 1440p at 120Hz.
The design is practical and user-friendly. It comes with a fully adjustable stand that supports height, tilt, swivel, and pivot adjustments. The screen also has an anti-reflective coating and wide viewing angles of 178 degrees. A built-in microphone is included as well.

There are a few downsides. The SDR brightness is rated at 200 nits, which is lower than many other QD-OLED monitors. This can affect how bright the screen looks, especially in well-lit rooms. It may also limit HDR performance.
The Alienware AW2726DM is a budget-friendly entry into QD-OLED gaming. It does not offer every premium feature, but it still delivers strong performance for its price. For gamers looking for smooth gameplay and better colours without a high cost, this monitor is a solid option.
New CPS PCCooler TR620M X features 5000RPM fan and six-heatpipe heatsink
CPS PCCooler has launched the TR620M X, a relatively compact dual-tower air cooler with a single fan. However, that single fan can spin up to 5000RPM, faster than most other PC cooling fans on the market.
According to ITHome, the heatsink measures 115x106x94mm and uses a pure-copper, nickel-plated, reflow-soldered base. The same source states that the heatsink towers are treated with an anti-oxidation spray coating and utilise six 6mm heat pipes to transfer the thermal energy generated by the CPU.
Airflow is provided by a single fan (100x100x25) equipped with a Japanese NMB dual ball bearing. The fan operates at a maximum speed of 5000±10%RPM, delivering a maximum airflow of 105.42CFM and a static pressure of 11.85mmH2O. These figures, as you'd expect, come with a pretty high noise level, up to 45.66dB(A).
According to the official product description, the TR620M X supports a wide range of mainstream workstation platforms. Compatibility includes Intel LGA3647 (narrow type) and 4677, as well as AMD sTRX4, sWRX8, TR4, SP3, TR5, SP5, and SP6. The TR620M X is currently available in China for 439 yuan (£48), with an initial launch price of 339 yuan (£37). Availability outside the Chinese market has not yet been provided.

KitGuru says: For the general consumer, something like the PCCooler TR620M X cooler may be a bit too loud. However, if you don't mind the noise, it should offer a good amount of performance.

Thermaltake has expanded its sim‑racing hardware lineup with two new additions, the XRW‑G1 GT Steering Wheel and the XRP‑L1 Loadcell Pedal Set, aimed at enthusiasts who want even greater configuration over controls in competitive racing games.
The XRW‑G1 GT Steering Wheel uses a 300mm GT‑style layout built from CNC‑machined aluminium, carbon fibre and reinforced polymer. A 5‑inch integrated touchscreen provides access to RPM data, flags and other race information. Surrounding it is a full control array that includes backlit buttons, toggle switches, rotary encoders, thumb encoders and two multi‑directional “funky switches” for menu navigation and quick adjustments.
Magnetic carbon‑fibre paddle shifters are included, and RGB indicators provide visual cues for RPM and system status. The wheel works with Thermaltake’s steel‑ball quick‑release adapter (sold separately) for fast swaps across compatible wheelbases.
The XRP‑L1 Loadcell Pedal Set is built around a CNC‑machined aluminium structure designed to minimise flex under heavy braking. The throttle pedal uses a 16‑bit Hall Effect sensor with adjustable throw and spring preload, while the brake pedal is driven by a 200kg load cell with interchangeable springs and rubber dampers for tuning resistance and feel. Pedal angles can be adjusted in 5‑degree increments, and the set includes stainless‑steel mounting brackets for a range of cockpit layouts.
We don't have pricing yet, but both products will be available across Europe, the US and other regions starting soon.
