In the wake of the overwhelming success of the first Super Mario Bros. Movie, Nintendo were quick to announce that they are also working on a Legend of Zelda film. It appears as though the project is progressing smoothly, with filming said to have now officially been wrapped-up ahead of its expected May 2027 premiere date.
Making the announcement at CinemaCon 2026 (and reported by the Japanese publication ‘denfaminicogamer’) production on the live-action Legend of Zelda movie has officially hit a new milestone, with the team having now concluded their filming stage of the project.
With the film’s shooting now officially concluded, the project will be moving to its post-production stage. This of course involves a ton of work still, including editing; sound design; visual effects; colour grading and much more.
Still, this latest milestone is worthy of note, and suggests that The Legend of Zelda film will likely make its current scheduled release date of the 7th of May 2027.
While it is unlikely that the Zelda movie will be as lucrative financially, here’s to hoping that its critical reception manages to supersede that of Mario Bros.
KitGuru says: Are you looking forward to the Legend of Zelda film? How much money do you think it’ll make? Does it have the potential to be a critical hit? Let us know your thoughts down below.
Since as far back as 2006 there have been talks surrounding adapting Hideo Kojima’s iconic Metal Gear Solid franchise into film. In the two decades since, the project has suffered a ton of various setbacks, with the most recent claims coming in 2022 in which it was revealed that the project was stuck in limbo. It appears as though the MGS film is finally set to become a reality; albeit starting from scratch.
In an exclusive piece by the TheHollywoodReporter, the publication officially revealed that Sony Pictures have struck a deal with directors Zach Lipovsky and Adam B. Stein to adapt the long-awaited Metal Gear Solid film.
Set to be released under Sony’s Columbia Pictures (and produced by the somewhat controversial Avi Arad), Lipovsky and Stein spoke on this latest announcement, stating:
“Metal Gear Solid was nothing short of a groundbreaking cinematic masterpiece that forever revolutionized video games. We are thrilled and honored to bring Hideo Kojima’s iconic characters and unforgettable world to life.”
For the uninitiated, Zach Lipovsky and Adam B. Stein are perhaps best known for their work on the 2025 horror title Final Destination: Bloodlines – the first new entry in almost 15 years. Amassing a total of $317 million off of a $50 million budget, the pair have proven their chops.
As mentioned, the history of the Metal Gear Solid film can be traced all the way back to 2006 when it was first announced. Since then the project was cancelled, uncancelled and had half a dozen directors and actors interested in being involved.
After more than a decade of flux, the producers had settled on a writer (Jay Basu), director (Vogt-Roberts) and main lead (Oscar Isaac) – though this too has since been undone.
Given just how long Konami have been trying to bring Metal Gear Solid to the big screen, hopefully Lipovsky and Stein are finally the duo able to get the project past the finish line. It will be interesting to see who they decide to cast as the iconic Solid Snake.

Over the years, CD Projekt have had a relatively close relationship with Kickstarter, having successfully released various Witcher and Cyberpunk-related projects through the crowdfunding platform. Even so, their latest efforts have proven to be record-breaking, with the recently-launched Cyberpunk TCG becoming the “Most Funded Game in Crowdfunding History.”
Being created by WeirdCo (and licensed by CDPR), the ever-growing project is managing to hit multiple fronts, said to be “designed for trading card players, avid collectors, and fans of the Cyberpunk franchise alike.”
As with many of CDPR’s previous Kickstarter projects, the Cyberpunk TCG appears to be well thought out and of a high quality. Of course, we will have to wait and see how the game actually performs when it is shipped out (estimated to be December 2026), but regardless, the Cyberpunk TCG is already a certified success financially.
Full details on the project, its various tiers and rewards can be found HERE.
The Super Mario Bros. Movie was a huge success for Nintendo, with the console maker’s first proper foray into the film scene going on to earn over $1.3 Billion at the box office following its release back in 2023. With its sequel ‘The Super Mario Galaxy Movie’ officially out now in cinemas, we’ve started to see reviews go live – with it currently sitting at a Rotten Tomato critic score of just 46%.
With a total of 98 critic reviews, The Super Mario Galaxy Movie has so far achieved a Rotten Tomato score of 46% – putting it comfortably in the ‘rotten’ tier. Metacritic is seeing similarly rough scores, currently sitting at a 37 across 35 reviews.
It is worth pointing out that critically the original Super Mario Bros. Movie didn’t do too well either, receiving a Rotten Tomato score of 59% and a Metacritic rating of 46. In both cases, user reviews were much kinder, landing at 95% and 8.1/10 respectively.
In terms of the critiques themselves, many agree that while the visuals themselves are impressive, the story in Galaxy leaves plenty to be desired, with much of the film being a pure nostalgia trip.
That said, for Nintendo these films represent an opportunity to expand the Mario IP out to even wider audiences, and so we will have to wait and see just how much money this – seemingly worse – sequel manages to rake in.
KitGuru says: Have you seen The Super Mario Galaxy Movie yet? How does it compare to the first? Will it break the $1 Billion mark? Let us know your thoughts down below.
Being a live-service hero shooter, Blizzard’s Overwatch is relatively light on story, with external video shorts and animations being produced in order to fill out the IP’s world and narrative. That said, one of the biggest complaints with the release of Overwatch 2 was the broken promises made regarding the addition of story campaign-styled missions. While these original plans may never come to be, Blizzard has offered an olive branch to fans of Overwatch’s world, confirming that they are releasing a 40-part ‘Undivided' Webtoon comic.
In an exclusive report by the publication VICE, Blizzard officially announced a surprise addition coming to the world of Overwatch, with a 40-part Webtoon series currently being developed. Titled ‘Overwatch: Undivided’ the first 3 chapters of the story are available right now to read HERE (with parts 4-8 arriving early via Webtoon’s Fast Pass).
Featuring a pleasing art style and vibrant visuals, Undivided looks to be a direct response to fans who wish for more lore and story, with the synopsis reading as follows:
“In the aftermath of Talon’s strike on Watchpoint: Gibraltar, the heroes of Overwatch take in their devastating defeat. But Vendetta is far from finished, launching attacks around the world on research facilities, military bases, and major cities. As Sojourn rallies the weary heroes to face Talon wherever they strike, she receives crushing news that calls everything she’s stood for into question: When the world says it doesn’t need heroes, can Overwatch still stand, undivided?”
While not the in-game narrative experience which many fans have been asking for, Overwatch: Undivided is a major step forward in this regard. It will be interesting to see how players respond.

Wanbo has launched the Wanbo Vali1 Pro, which comes as the successor to the earlier Vali1 projector. This new model is not a complete redesign, but more of an improved version that builds on the same idea with updated and more useful features.
The Wanbo Vali1 Pro focuses on refining the overall experience rather than changing everything. It brings newer software, better optimisation, and a few feature upgrades that aim to make everyday use smoother and more convenient.
It comes with a range of updated features, including:
Google TV based on Android 14
Up to 260-inch screen size
MT9660 flagship chip with 2GB RAM and 32GB storage
1080p Full HD resolution
900 ANSI lumens brightness
HDR10 support
MEMC technology for smoother motion
Dolby Audio
ASA 3.0 intelligent features for auto setup
Unboxing
Wanbo’s packaging has always been very secure, and it is the same here with Wanbo Vali1 Pro. First, you get an outer cardboard box which is of good quality and strong enough to protect the product during shipping. Inside that, you will find the main retail box, which has a clean and minimal design.
On the front of the Wanbo Vali1 Pro box, there is an image of the projector along with Wanbo and Google TV branding. It looks simple and neat without too much clutter. The back side includes some basic specifications and streaming platform logos, while the sides remain minimal with small logos like Dolby Audio, HDMI, and Google Cast.
Once you open the box, the Wanbo Vali1 Pro projector is placed inside thick foam, keeping it fully protected and stable. On top, you will find the documentation, including the user manual and a small welcome note.
Inside the accessories box, you get a slightly updated remote control, which is now a bit longer in size and feels more comfortable to hold. Along with that, there is a power cord included, and Wanbo also provides an extra dust filter, which is a useful addition for long-term use.
Overall, the Wanbo Vali1 Pro unboxing feels well organised and secure. Wanbo has focused more on protection and practicality rather than adding unnecessary extras.
The Wanbo Vali1 Pro is part of the Vali1 lineup. It follows the same clean design style. The colour is soft beige. It looks simple and easy on the eyes. The size is 254 × 188.8 × 227.6 mm. The weight is around 2.8 kg. It feels stable on a table.
The main highlight of the Wanbo Vali1 Pro is the 200° gimbal stand. You can adjust the angle easily. It works with one hand. You can project on a wall or ceiling. It feels useful for daily use.
From the front, the lens is large. It has a glass finish. You can see light reflections on it. On the lens, there are small white text details. It mentions max projection size 260”, FHD 1080p, and Auto Focus. It also shows projector lens branding. Next to it, there is a small sensor. This helps with auto focus and keystone. The front has a slightly different texture. It adds a bit of contrast.
On the sides, Wanbo has used a honeycomb mesh grill design. It gives a clean look and also helps with airflow. On one side, you get the exhaust along with the speaker. Dolby Audio branding is also placed here. On the other side, there is an intake vent. Wanbo has added a removable dust filter on this side. You can take it out easily, clean it, and place it back without any effort.
The rear side is simple and easy to understand. At the top, you get the main ports including a headphone jack, one HDMI port, and one USB port. The spacing is decent, so connecting cables does not feel tight. There is also a small button and sensor placed next to the ports.
Below that, there is a large grill for airflow. The internal fan is visible from here, and it helps in managing heat during use. The speaker is also placed in this area, and the total output is 12W. It is fine for normal use in a small room, but for a better experience, external speakers can still be useful.
Just below the grill, there is a small engraved text that says “Enjoy The Unlimited,” which adds a subtle design touch. Overall, the back design feels practical. It is not crowded, and everything is easy to access.
At the bottom of the stand, Wanbo has added rubber pads on all corners. These help in keeping the projector stable and prevent it from slipping on a table. In the centre, there is a mounting hole, which can be used if you want to fix it on a stand or mount. You also get an information sticker here along with the serial number printed on it.
Software features
The Wanbo Vali1 Pro comes with Google TV based on Android 14. This means you do not need any external device for streaming. Apps like Netflix, YouTube, and others work directly on the projector. Everything is in one place, and the interface feels easy to use. It also shows recommendations based on what you watch, which saves time.
The user interface feels fast and responsive. Navigation is smooth, and apps open without much delay. Google TV apps and even light games are easily accessible, and the system handles them well for normal home use.
Voice control is also available through Google Assistant. You can simply say “Hey Google” and search for content, control playback, or open apps. It works fine for basic use and makes navigation easier without typing.
There is also support for Google Cast. You can connect your phone, tablet, or laptop and stream content wirelessly. It works smoothly for videos, music, and even photos. With dual-band WiFi and Bluetooth 5.0, the connection stays stable during use.
Overall, with official Netflix and Google TV certification, it gives a complete entertainment package without needing extra devices.
Projection display and sound
I have been using this projector for around 2 weeks. During this time, I mostly used it with my kids for watching animated movies, both indoor and outdoor. The brightness is actually quite strong, especially in a dark room. The image looks clear and colours feel good enough for normal viewing.
I also connected it to my PC and tried Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 on a big screen. The gaming experience felt really enjoyable. The large screen makes a big difference, and with MEMC, motion looks smoother in fast scenes.
For proper testing, I used it on an ALR screen at around 100 inches. I watched HDR10 FHD videos, and the overall result was decent. Colours looked balanced, and contrast was fine for this price range. It is not perfect, but still enjoyable for movies and shows.
I also tested it outdoors and pushed the screen size to around 140 inches. At that size, the image is still watchable, but you can notice some drop in sharpness and brightness. Still, for casual outdoor use, it performs quite well.
Overall, the projection quality feels solid for everyday use. It works best in low light, but even at larger sizes, it manages to deliver a decent viewing experience without major issues.
Sound
The first thing I noticed while using the projector was that the sound is better than expected. It comes with a 12W speaker setup, and for a normal living room, it gets loud enough without any problem. While watching movies with my kids, dialogues were clear, and voices did not feel muffled even at lower volume.
Wanbo has also added different sound modes. You get separate options for music, movies, and gaming. These modes actually make a small difference, especially in movies where voices feel a bit clearer and background sound feels more balanced.
In daily use, the speakers are good enough that you do not really need external speakers. For casual watching like YouTube, Netflix, or even some gaming, it handles everything on its own without feeling weak.
There is also a Bluetooth speaker mode, which is a nice extra. You can use the projector just for music by connecting your phone, so it works like a normal Bluetooth speaker when you are not using the projection.
Overall, the sound is not just usable, it is actually enjoyable for regular use, which is something I did not expect at this size.
Wanbo Vali1 Pro user experience
Using the Vali1 Pro for daily use felt quite smooth and hassle-free. The first thing that stands out is how easy it is to set up. With ASA 3.0, most of the work is done automatically. Auto focus and auto keystone work quickly, and the image adjusts itself within seconds. Even when I moved the projector or changed the angle, it fixed the screen without needing manual effort. Features like screen fit and obstacle avoidance also help in keeping the image properly aligned.
In terms of performance, the MT9660 chipset with 2GB RAM and 32GB storage handles things well. The system feels stable for normal use. Apps open without much delay, and switching between them is smooth. It is not super fast like a high-end device, but for streaming, browsing, and casual use, it does the job without frustration.
MEMC is another feature that I noticed during use. While watching sports and action scenes, motion looks smoother and there is less blur. It is not perfect in every situation, but overall, it makes fast scenes easier to watch compared to normal playback.
For everyday use, the projector feels complete. Google TV with Netflix support means you can just turn it on and start watching without extra setup. The large screen experience, combined with smooth performance and automatic adjustments, makes it easy to use for movies, casual gaming, and family time.
Overall, the experience feels simple and practical. You do not need to spend time adjusting settings again and again, and everything works in a way that suits regular home use.
Final verdict
Wanbo has done a smart job with the Wanbo Vali1 Pro. It feels like a proper updated version of the Vali 1, where useful modern features are added without overcomplicating things. The focus is clearly on making the experience easy and user-friendly while keeping the performance stable for daily use.
One thing I personally liked is the gimbal design. It makes the projector more flexible and easier to use in different setups. Along with that, the portability also adds value, especially if you want to move it around the house or even use it outdoors.
In terms of display, the 900 ANSI lumens brightness performs well in real use. The image looks crisp and clear, especially in low-light conditions. HDR10 support adds a better feel while watching movies, making the overall experience more cinematic. The option to go up to a 260-inch screen also gives you that big screen feeling, whether you are indoors or outside.
The sound is also good enough for most situations. For a normal room or even casual outdoor use, the built-in speakers handle things well without needing extra setup.
Overall, the Wanbo Vali1 Pro feels like a balanced projector. It is easy to use, performs well, and includes features that actually matter in daily life. Considering the design, usability, and performance, I would personally give this projector both a design award and a performance award.
Sonic the Hedgehog is perhaps more popular than he’s ever been, thanks in large part to the success of the live-action film series. With 3 movies and a TV show spin-off now under their belt, SEGA / Paramount have officially begun to tease the next entry; confirming that Sonic the Hedgehog 4 will feature the iconic villain Metal Sonic.
Releasing a title reveal trailer (which serves pretty much as an old-school teaser trailer), Paramount / SEGA have officially kicked off their marketing for the hotly-anticipated 4th entry in the film series.
While it was already known, the trailer also reaffirmed the fact that Sonic the Hedgehog 4 will premiere on the 19th of March 2027 – one year from now.
Plot details are being kept light so far, however based on the teaser released it is clear that both Amy Rose and Metal Sonic are set to be prominent additions to the cast. Of course, with the ending to the 3rd film it was already clear that Amy would be joining the roster. Still, it is exciting to see Metal Sonic also set to feature.
Additionally, thanks to certain wording being used during the voiceover present in the teaser, it is possible that Chaos could also appear at some point. We will have to wait a year to find out. Regardless, Sonic the Hedgehog 4 looks set to be another excellent entry in this ever-growing film series.

The Boulies Aura enters the competitive office chair market with a £270 price tag, promising a blend of clean, modern design and ergonomic comfort. Featuring a highly adjustable frame, cold-cured foam, and breathable fabric, it looks like a solid ergonomic investment on paper. But does this extensive list of adjustments actually translate into a comfortable, supportive experience for long hours of work and gaming?

Closing Thoughts
The Boulies Aura is a highly competent office chair that excels in its sheer level of adjustability. Being able to tweak the seat depth, backrest height, lumbar support, and armrests makes it incredibly easy to dial in a customized fit for long productivity or gaming sessions. The plush cold-cured foam and breathable fabric make it a comfortable place to sit, and the remarkably easy 20-minute solo assembly process is a massive bonus for anyone dreading flat-pack furniture.
However, it is not without a few quirks. Smaller users (under 1.75m) may find the seat depth a bit too long even on the shortest setting, and the armrests do not naturally go low enough for competitive gamers who like to sit flush against their desk—though reversing the armrests works as a clever, easy workaround. Add in some minor plastic-on-plastic creaking during adjustments and a black fabric that acts as a magnet for pet hair, and it loses a tiny bit of its premium luster. Overall, if the £270 price fits your budget and you need a highly customizable ergonomic chair, the Aura is a very solid choice that is built to last.
Good amount of ergonomic adjustability (seat depth, lumbar, backrest).
Very comfortable cold-cured foam seat for long sessions.
Quick and easy solo assembly (under 20 minutes).
Highly repairable and customizable (armrests can be easily unscrewed and reversed if you want them lower and further back).
Cons:
Minimum seat depth might be slightly too long for users under 1.75m.
Minor plastic creaks make the adjustment mechanisms feel less premium.
Black fabric is an absolute magnet for pet hair.
Seat foam can get a bit warm in rooms over 25°C.
KitGuru says: The Boulies Aura offers an impressive suite of ergonomic adjustments and genuine all-day comfort, making it a strong contender for any home office or gaming setup.
“We would have gotten it made a few years back, but then other movies got in the way, with one being The Long Walk and the other being The Hunger Games prequel, which comes out this December. We're just waiting for [director Francis Lawrence] to finish post-production, because he's going to be working on it through at least September, and then jump back into it.”
Lee continued, “I know that Netflix and Take-Two are very anxious to see the movie come out because they want to have the release coincide with some of the potential new incarnations of the game.”
Lee’s last point is of particular note, as just like with the adaptation, 2K’s long-awaited Bioshock 4 game has also run into its own setbacks. Assuming things go to plan however, we could finally be getting both Bioshock 4 and the Netflix film within a similar time period.
That said, information on both projects remains light, and so it may still be a few more years of waiting.
KitGuru says: Are you excited for the Bioshock film? Do you have any hope in the project? What will be released first, the film or Bioshock 4? Let us know your thoughts down below.
Dead by Daylight is perhaps one of the most popular horror games of all time, with the asymmetrical multiplayer title amassing over 60 million players since its initial launch back in 2016. In the decade since, the game has continued to grow, crossing over with countless different iconic IPs. Already somewhat of a multi-media franchise, Dead By Daylight is now set to receive an animated show adaptation.
Following the recent announcement by THR stating that Dead by Daylight is getting a live-action film adaptation (produced by Blumhouse and James Wan’s Atomic Monster), it appears as though other similar adaptations are also in the works.
As reported by the publication DreadCentral, alongside the film adaptation, “the companies are also out to writers to develop a Dead by Daylight animated series based on the games.”
Little else has been provided in this regard and so it is safe to assume that the animated series is still in its early days of development.
As mentioned, Dead By Daylight is a massive franchise which has only grown further in popularity with time. That said, with the game’s strong focus on crossing over with other famous horror IPs, it will be interesting to see whether these adaptations will instead stick with the original characters and creations made for the game itself.
