RTX Spark laptop shown to be running Alan Wake 2 and PRAGMATA fluidly

We recently went hands-on with various laptop manufacturers that will introduce their new RTX Spark lineup of products later this fall, but disappointingly, we weren’t able to get a glimpse of their gaming prowess, even though there was a teaser revealing that these machines could run Alan Wake 2. Fortunately, one person has provided evidence that gaming on these laptops is going to be a breeze, with Remedy’s intensive title and Capcom’s PRAGMATA running smoothly. For a first iteration from NVIDIA, RTX Spark displays impressive performance and promises a bright future for ARM-based chipsets During the official announcement during Computex 2026, NVIDIA […]

Pragmata 2 Hasn’t Been Greenlit Yet, but Director Yonghee Cho Would “Love to See a Sequel,” If It Were Only Up to Him

28 May 2026 at 13:58

A blonde character in the game 'Pragmata' reaches out towards a futuristic holographic interface.

For anyone who has followed the video game industry since, oh, about 2019, it's been clear that Capcom is on a generational run of simply being unable to miss with commercially and (mostly) critically successful games. A run that's continued even when introducing brand new franchises like Pragmata, which arrived on PC and consoles earlier this year, earning critical and commercial success with the game hitting 1M copies sold in just two days. Naturally, when a game has that kind of smash success, questions of a sequel arise, and while there's nothing greenlit yet, game director Yonghee Cho has made […]

Crimson Desert is the US’s Second-Best-Selling Game in 2026, and Tomodachi Life Tops April’s Charts Under Circana’s New Tracking Method

20 May 2026 at 15:12

Three cartoon-style characters ride animal-themed playground spring riders near a scenic lakeside in a video game.

As he does every month, Circana executive director Mat Piscatella has reported the sales charts for the top-selling video games in the United States for the past month, and for April 2026, it was Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream and Pragmata sailing high above the rest. Neither, however, are close to supplanting the best-selling games of 2026 in the US so far. Before getting into the notable inclusions on the charts, this month's release is a significant one because Circana has adapted its tracking method and now offers a more complete picture of what is and isn't actually a top-selling […]

Windrose Reportedly Outsold Crimson Desert in April With an Estimated 1.7M Copies in Just Two Weeks

8 May 2026 at 18:22

Two pirate characters, a woman holding a musket and a man with a pistol, stand together under the title 'Windrose' with ships visible in the background.

April had a few major game releases across PC and consoles with games like Pragmata, Saros, and Invincible Vs. all arriving within its 30 days, but a new report from Alinea Analytics points to only one of those games reaching near the top of the sales charts. While Pragmata reportedly made the top-five games sold across Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox, it was the recently released pirate adventure Windrose that landed at the top spot, with March's Crimson Desert slightly behind in second place. According to the report, despite only being available on Steam, Windrose was the best-selling game of the […]

Capcom’s Pragmata surpasses two million sales

8 May 2026 at 13:00

Capcom has announced that Pragmata, its new sci-fi action-adventure IP, has surpassed two million units sold worldwide. The milestone was achieved within 16 days of its release.

The title, which is currently available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2, reached its first million copies within 48 hours of availability. However, this figure could have been even better if the game had been released worldwide on all platforms simultaneously. While most versions launched globally on April 17th, the Nintendo Switch 2 version in Japan and Asia only become available on April 24th.

According to the press release, Capcom attributes the performance to marketing initiatives including an early “Sketchbook” playable demo and the game's focus on the narrative bond between protagonists Hugh and Diana. Also worth noting is that Pragmata is Capcom's first original internal IP in eight years.

Currently sitting at 86 on OpenCritic and 97% on Steam, it's clear that critics and players enjoy the game. Complemented by the sales figures, it's safe to say the new IP is already a success.

KitGuru says: Have you tried Pragmata already? What do you think of it? Do you think it deserves the praise it's getting?

Capcom COO hints at future plans for Pragmata following successful launch

4 May 2026 at 09:00

Capcom launched Pragmata last month to very positive reviews. The publisher has been very happy with the game's performance so far, with executives indicating that Pragmata will now become one of Capcom's main active IP.

Capcom has launched many IP over the decades but only a few see much focus at any given time. In recent years, the publisher has primarily focused on Resident Evil, Devil May Cry and Monster Hunter, with more experimental releases like Dragon's Dogma 2, Exoprimal and Pragmata sprinkled in.

While Exoprimal didn't quite live up to the mark and is unlikely to see future games, the same can't be said for Pragmata. As reported by Game File, Rob Dyer, Capcom USA's Chief Operating Officer, recently said that Pragmata will see future releases following its successful launch:

“They took feedback and it was worth the effort. We're to a point now where we've got another IP that we can continue to go down”.

Capcom’s Pragmata surpasses one million sales

20 April 2026 at 13:00

Capcom is having a fantastic year so far. Resident Evil Requiem launched a few months ago to wide critical acclaim and millions of sales. Now, its brand-new IP, Pragmata, has also surpassed one million sales in just two days.

Pragmata launched on Friday for PC, Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch 2, with demos available too for players to try the game beforehand. All of this drove momentum, pushing the game to over one million sales during its first weekend on the market.

In a statement, the development team behind Pragmata spoke on the milestone, saying: “As a completely new IP, PRAGMATA represents a new challenge for Capcom, built from the ground up with an original world and gameplay concept. We are truly delighted that so many players around the world have enjoyed the game, enabling us to reach this milestone of one million units sold. Moving forward, we will continue making every effort to deliver the appeal of PRAGMATA to an even broader audience.”

Pragmata is a near‑future sci‑fi action‑adventure game with third‑person combat and a unique real‑time hacking mechanic. You play as astronaut Hugh and android Diana as they fight hostile robots and try to escape a lunar research station. The game is now available for all PC and console platforms.

PRAGMATA launches to record-breaking playercounts for a brand new Capcom IP

20 April 2026 at 09:15

PRAGMATA had been a long time coming, with the unique sci-fi 3rd-person tactical shooter first being announced prior to the launch of the PlayStation 5. In the years since, the game was delayed multiple times, before finally landing on an April 2026 release date. It appears as though PRAGMATA was worth the wait, with the title launching to record-breaking player counts for a new Capcom IP on Steam.

Half a decade on from its initial announcement, Capcom’s PRAGMATA finally landed on PC and consoles this past weekend, amassing high praise from both fans and critics alike.

Despite being a single player experience, the game also managed to achieve high player numbers, showing clear interest in this unique offering.

With a peak Steam concurrent player count of just under 69K (68,687 CCU to be exact), PRAGMATA is officially the most popular new IP from the publisher on the platform.

PRAGMATA Steam

While far from the heights of Monster Hunter Wilds (1.38 million CCU) or the recently-released Resident Evil Requiem (344K CUU), PRAGMATA has managed to beat out its contemporary Capcom-developed IPs including Exoprimal (4,995 CCU) and Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess (2,038 CCU).

Even so, Capcom’s bread and butter is in its established IPs and so PRAGMATA’s achievement is certainly worthy of note.

With a record-breaking peak CCU and an ‘overwhelmingly positive’ review score on Steam, it seems clear that PRAGMATA was indeed worth the wait. It will be interesting to see whether Capcom has any future plans for this possible franchise.

The Catch Me If You Can Training Simulation is one of the most challenging to complete in PRAGMATA. Unlike other Training Simulations such as Floor It, Bad Blood, Mouse Trap, and Medic Training, you have no room for error here. Objectives and Rewards Step-by-Step Strategy If you followed these steps precisely, you will have plenty of time left to deal with the Lancer and claim your 4 Upgrade Components and the […]

Crashing issues in PRAGMATA on PC can occur before you even start the game proper, with Fatal D3D errors also happening when trying to enable Path Tracing or changing Frame Generation options. Some users have reported these crashes even without touching these settings, suggesting a possible hardware conflict. To solve these issues and enjoy the game on PC, two workarounds have currently been found. Disable GPU Overclocking Games powered by the RE Engine (such as Resident Evil Requiem and Monster Hunter Wilds) are notoriously sensitive to GPU overclocking and software such as MSI Afterburner.
