Combat Racer Warhammer 40K: Speed Freeks will be free on the Epic Games Store

5 June 2026 at 14:00

Each week, the Epic Games Store gives away a title or two as part of the platform’s free game program. While the past month or so saw Epic giving away ‘Mystery Titles’ the storefront has since returned to business as usual – announcing that next week’s free offering will be the “adrenaline-fueled” combat racer Warhammer 40K: Speed Freeks.

Available to add to your library from the 11th of June up until the 18th, next week’s free game is confirmed to be Warhammer 40K: Speed Freeks.

A combat racer in the style of PlayStation’s classic Twisted Metal series – albeit with far greater scope on the racing side of things – Speed Freeks released just over a year ago on PC to ‘Very Positive’ reviews on Steam with many noting it as an underrated title. The game also recently found its way onto consoles, adding crossplay among other inclusions.

As mentioned, Warhammer 40K: Speed Freeks will be available from next Thursday. In the meantime, Epic Games Store account holders can get their hands on the tactical turn-based Rogue-like ‘Rogue Waters’ alongside ‘Songs of Conquest’ – a visually pleasing turn-based strategy adventure game. Both titles are available to claim from now until the 11th of June.

KitGuru says: What do you think of this week’s offerings? Had you heard of Warhammer 40K: Speed Freeks previously? What’s the most important element in a combat racer? Let us know down below.

June’s PlayStation Plus line-up includes the Microsoft-published ‘Grounded’

27 May 2026 at 12:00

Each month, Sony offers 3 or so titles for ‘free’ as part of the console maker’s PlayStation Plus Essential subscription service. In an unexpected announcement, June’s line-up will include the previously-Xbox-exclusive first-party survival crafter ‘Grounded: Fully Yoked Edition’ alongside Warhammer 40K Darktide.

Making the announcement via their PlayStation Blog, Sony officially detailed June’s PS Plus Essential offerings. Available to claim from the 2nd of June, subscribers can look forward to the following:

  • Grounded: Fully Yoked Edition [PS5 / PS4]
  • Nickelodeon All-Stars Brawl 2 [PS5 / PS4]
  • Warhammer 40k: Darktide [PS5]

Grounded PlayStation Plus

As mentioned, the headliner for the month is Grounded. Developed by Obsidian Entertainment, this co-op survival-crafter shrinks players down, forcing them to navigate a regular-sized garden a-la Honey I Shrunk the Kids.

Initially released in Early Access as an Xbox console exclusive, the full game would later be made available across all platforms. Still, the inclusion of a first-party Xbox title on PlayStation Plus is interesting to note, and opens up the doors for other Microsoft games later down the line.

Curiously, alongside the above offerings, PlayStation is also keeping one of May’s titles around for a couple more weeks, with EA Sports FC 26 remaining claimable up until the 16th of June.

Whether this is due to the recent price increase for PS Plus or not remains unknown. Either way, for those who missed out on May’s offerings, you’ll have a bit more time to add at least one of the games to your library.

KitGuru says: What do you think of this month’s offerings? Did you ever expect to see first-party Xbox titles on PS Plus? Why do you think they extended EA Sports FC’s licence? Let us know down below.

Helldivers 2 gets Warhammer 40,000 crossover

21 May 2026 at 16:00

Helldivers 2 has had a number of good crossovers during its time, including legendary warbonds for Halo and Killzone-themed gear. Now, the next crossover has been announced, bringing some Warhammer flavour to Arrowhead's shooter.

Helldivers 2 will be getting a Warhammer 40,000 legendary warbond later this year. This is one of Helldivers' most-requested crossovers, so fans will be pleased to see it finally become reality.

The trailer does not reveal much about the crossover but as usual, the new legendary warbond will be available to purchase permanently within Helldivers 2, so you don't have to worry about FOMO. Fans can expect new cosmetic armour, and potentially new weapons, gadgets and a vehicle too, but we won't know for sure until closer to release.

The Helldivers 2 Warhammer 40,000 legendary warbond will become available later this year.

Discuss on our Facebook page, HERE.

KitGuru Says: This is one of those crossovers that just makes perfect sense. Hopefully the final product will be worth it when it eventually lands.

Warhammer 40K Space Marine 2 reaches new player milestone

20 April 2026 at 11:45

Released over a decade following its first entry, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 launched in September of 2024 to a wave of success; both critically and commercially. Thanks to multiple years of post-launch support (and its inclusion on game subscription services), the 3rd person co-op horde shooter has reached a new major milestone – officially surpassing 12 million total players.

Taking to Twitter to make the announcement, publisher Focus Entertainment officially confirmed that “#SpaceMarine2 has now welcomed 12 million players. A couple years ago, we had great hopes for this project. Today, it has surpassed even our wildest dreams. Thank you twelve million times over.”

Warhammer Space Marine

While a massive achievement certainly worth celebrating, it should be noted that 12 million players does not equate to 12 million copies sold, especially as the title was added to Sony’s PlayStation Plus game catalogue last month.

Regardless, Warhammer 40K Space Marine 2 is an undeniable success, and so it will be interesting to see what’s in store for this sub-series moving forward.

Persona 5 Royal Ultimate Edition, Madden NFL 26 and more confirmed for PlayStation Plus

11 March 2026 at 17:05

Following on from leaks last night, Sony has announced the next wave of games for the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium catalogues. A number of big games will be added to the PlayStation Plus Extra library this week, including Persona 5 Royal and Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2.

Persona 5 Royal is a standout game on the list. It is the highest-selling Persona game to date and really put the series on the map for a whole new audience. In the Royal edition, you get some extra content over the base edition of the game, including a new character to learn all about. Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is also a big hit for March, providing hours of action up against vicious Tyranid swarms.

Here is the full list of titles joining PlayStation Plus Extra on March 17th:

  • Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 | PS5
  • EA Sports Madden NFL 26 | PS5
  • Persona 5 Royal | PS5, PS4
  • Persona 5 Royal – Ultimate Edition | PS4
  • Blasphemous 2 | PS5, PS4
  • Metal Eden | PS5
  • Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria | PS5
  • Astroneer | PS5, PS4

PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers will get one extra game this month – Tekken Dark Resurrection. It will be made available at the same time as the new PlayStation Plus Extra titles.

PlayStation Plus Extra line-up for March has leaked early

11 March 2026 at 12:30

A couple weeks into each month, Sony announces and releases its line-up of PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium titles. As with most months however, leakers have uncovered Sony’s plans early – revealing a pretty meaty month for PS Plus Extra including but not limited to Persona 5 royal and Warhammer 40K Space Marine 2.

As reported by Billbil-kun via dealabs (who has accurately leaked tons of previous monthly line-ups), PlayStation Plus Extra / Premium subscribers are set to receive a strong selection of titles next week. While things could of course change, as it stands Sony is set to bring half a dozen titles to the service on the 17th of March, namely:

  • Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 (PS5)
  • Persona 5 Royal (PS5 | PS4)
  • Madden NFL 26 (PS5)
  • Metal Eden (PS5)
  • The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria (PS5)
  • Astroneer (PS4)

For many, the headliners for the month are Persona 5 Royal and Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine 2.

Of course, Persona 5 Royal is the expanded/complete version of ATLUS’ 2016 JRPG. Released in 2019 (2020 in the West) the title introduced new characters; confidants; a 3rd semester and more. If you’ve not played Persona 5 in any capacity, Royal will have you sorted out for the next 100-150 hours or so.

Space Marine 2 on the other hand released in 2024 – a decade on from its first entry. The wait was worth it however, with the action-heavy 3rd-person shooter going on to sell millions of copies. Since launch, the title has only continued to improve, with the game receiving a ton of major updates, adding all sorts from new weapons to modes and much more; meaning now (well, next week) is as good a time as any to get stuck in.

Of course, Sony have yet to make the announcement themselves, and so we will have to wait and see, but Billbil’s track record when it comes to PlayStation Plus has been pretty much spotless and so expect the above to be your PS Plus Extra titles for the month of March.

KitGuru says: What do you think of this month’s offerings? Which title are you most looking forward to trying? How long was your first Persona 5 playthrough? Let us know down below.

‘Boomer Shooter Blueprint’ Bundle available now, including ‘I Am Your Beast’ and half-a-dozen more

25 February 2026 at 10:15

Boomer Shooters have seen a notable surge in recent years, with players finding comfort in titles which offer satisfying gameplay loops, engaging combat and interesting visuals – focusing on the dopamine hits associated with turning your enemies into giblets. Available now for the next two weeks, the Boomer Shooter Blueprint bundle features a bunch of fun and fast-paced experiences, including but not limited to Mullet Madjack, I Am Your Beast and Selaco.

Put together by ‘Kirk Collects’ and the curation site Digiphile, the ‘Boomer Shooter Blueprint’ bundle is available to purchase from now until the 11th of March. Costing $17, fans of the genre will have plenty to get stuck into no matter your preferred visual aesthetics – with 7 titles in total being offered:

  • Selaco
  • I Am Your Beast
  • Mullet Madjack
  • Beyond Citadel
  • Warhammer 40,000 Boltgun
  • Incision
  • CULTIC Chapter One

I Am Your Beast is a level-based boomer shooter which puts emphasis on speed and accuracy, giving you limited weapons and ammo initially in a Hotline Miami-styled gameplay loop of try, die and try again. Featuring a surprisingly emotional narrative, I Am Your Beast is certainly worth giving a go.

Warhammer 40,000 Boltgun on the other hand is another entry in the ever-expanding Warhammer universe. Featuring an early-90s visual set-up blended with Warhammer iconography, Boltgun is worth checking out regardless of your opinion on the IP.

Beyond Citadel meanwhile offers a blend of OG DOOM and classic anime, while upping the gameplay to line-up closer with more modern titles.

Another anime-inspired entry is Mullet Madjack: “a HIGH-OCTANE-ACTION SHOOTER” featuring a cel-shaded aesthetic and vibrant visuals, with an emphasis on completing levels as quickly and efficiently as possible. Full details on all of the included titles can be found HERE.

As with most bundles, a portion of the money will go towards charity, with the Boomer Shooter Blueprint bundle supporting ‘Whale and Dolphin Conservation’ – “the leading charity dedicated to the protection of whales and dolphins.”
