Infinity Ward Vows Modern Warfare 4 Stays Grounded, Slams Door on Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj and Omni-Man Skins

30 May 2026 at 16:00

Two armed soldiers in tactical gear are advancing beside a bus in a forest setting, with the 'Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4' logo in the bottom right corner.

Infinity Ward dumped a lot of information on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 all at once on Thursday, May 28. Among the reveals, the studio also shared that cosmetics and collaborations won't betray the game's grounded atmosphere, unlike in other recent installments. On the studio's X account, they tweeted: Every aspect of Modern Warfare 4 is anchored in the game's narrative. Every feature, every decision needs to feel authentic to what Modern Warfare is, and that includes cosmetics and collabs. We're committed to keeping it grounded and transparent, and we want to hear from you on what you'd like […]

June’s PlayStation Plus line-up includes the Microsoft-published ‘Grounded’

27 May 2026 at 12:00

Each month, Sony offers 3 or so titles for ‘free’ as part of the console maker’s PlayStation Plus Essential subscription service. In an unexpected announcement, June’s line-up will include the previously-Xbox-exclusive first-party survival crafter ‘Grounded: Fully Yoked Edition’ alongside Warhammer 40K Darktide.

Making the announcement via their PlayStation Blog, Sony officially detailed June’s PS Plus Essential offerings. Available to claim from the 2nd of June, subscribers can look forward to the following:

  • Grounded: Fully Yoked Edition [PS5 / PS4]
  • Nickelodeon All-Stars Brawl 2 [PS5 / PS4]
  • Warhammer 40k: Darktide [PS5]

Grounded PlayStation Plus

As mentioned, the headliner for the month is Grounded. Developed by Obsidian Entertainment, this co-op survival-crafter shrinks players down, forcing them to navigate a regular-sized garden a-la Honey I Shrunk the Kids.

Initially released in Early Access as an Xbox console exclusive, the full game would later be made available across all platforms. Still, the inclusion of a first-party Xbox title on PlayStation Plus is interesting to note, and opens up the doors for other Microsoft games later down the line.

Curiously, alongside the above offerings, PlayStation is also keeping one of May’s titles around for a couple more weeks, with EA Sports FC 26 remaining claimable up until the 16th of June.

Whether this is due to the recent price increase for PS Plus or not remains unknown. Either way, for those who missed out on May’s offerings, you’ll have a bit more time to add at least one of the games to your library.

KitGuru says: What do you think of this month’s offerings? Did you ever expect to see first-party Xbox titles on PS Plus? Why do you think they extended EA Sports FC’s licence? Let us know down below.

Obsidian’s Grounded Headlines June’s PS Plus Essential Games While FC 26 Sticks Around for Kick Off at the World Cup

With PlayStation announcing its annual Days of Play sale will kick off tomorrow, May 27, 2026, the platform has also revealed the PS Plus Essential games for June 2026, headlined by Grounded: Fully Yoked Edition for both PS5 and PS4. The self-described "ultimate" version of the survival game from Xbox Game Studios-owned Obsidian Entertainment joins the fray, but another game added last month stays on for the FIFA World Cup. That's EA Sports FC 26, unsurprisingly. If you didn't get a chance to download it or even just add it to your library for the month of May 2026 (which […]
