Combat Racer Warhammer 40K: Speed Freeks will be free on the Epic Games Store

5 June 2026 at 14:00

Each week, the Epic Games Store gives away a title or two as part of the platform’s free game program. While the past month or so saw Epic giving away ‘Mystery Titles’ the storefront has since returned to business as usual – announcing that next week’s free offering will be the “adrenaline-fueled” combat racer Warhammer 40K: Speed Freeks.

Available to add to your library from the 11th of June up until the 18th, next week’s free game is confirmed to be Warhammer 40K: Speed Freeks.

A combat racer in the style of PlayStation’s classic Twisted Metal series – albeit with far greater scope on the racing side of things – Speed Freeks released just over a year ago on PC to ‘Very Positive’ reviews on Steam with many noting it as an underrated title. The game also recently found its way onto consoles, adding crossplay among other inclusions.

As mentioned, Warhammer 40K: Speed Freeks will be available from next Thursday. In the meantime, Epic Games Store account holders can get their hands on the tactical turn-based Rogue-like ‘Rogue Waters’ alongside ‘Songs of Conquest’ – a visually pleasing turn-based strategy adventure game. Both titles are available to claim from now until the 11th of June.

Telltale’s Batman is free on the Epic Games Store

15 May 2026 at 09:30

Each week, the Epic Games Store gives away a title or two for free as part of the platform’s free game program. Following some teasers last week, Epic have now unveiled their latest suite of offerings – with Telltale’s Batman and Sunderfolk available to claim for free right now.

Available to purchase right now for the low price of ‘free’, this week’s Epic Games Store offerings include the following:

Telltale’s Batman is viewed by many as one of the best entries in Telltale Games’ repertoire, with the 2016 choice-based adventure title offering fresh insight into the Dark Knight – particularly his Bruce Wayne side of things.

While not as action-packed as Rocksteady’s Arkham trilogy, Telltale’s Batman is a must-play for any fans of the caped crusader.

Sunderfolk meanwhile is a tactical co-op RPG “where shared strategy shapes every turn”. Initially released back in 2025 to generally positive reviews, the game has only improved with time – with its big 2.0 update introducing even more ways to play cooperatively; new missions and additional characters.

Both Batman: The Telltale Series and Sunderfolk are free to claim from now until the 21st of May at which point they will be replaced by two other ‘Mystery’ titles.
