Computex 2026: Cougar shows off huge range of new hardware

6 June 2026 at 09:00

In our latest Computex video, we check out a huge range of new hardware coming from Cougar, from new gaming sit/stand desk options, to new AIOs, cases and peripherals.

Watch via YouTube below:

Cougar's chassis range expands with the NU 700 full‑tower and NU 500 mid‑tower, both supporting E‑ATX, SSI‑EEB and CEB motherboards alongside dual‑GPU layouts. The NU 700 accommodates two PSUs and up to dual 360mm or a single 420mm radiator, while the NU 500 supports a front‑mounted 360mm unit. As you may expect, both of these are positioned towards the workstation market, rather than for gamers.

Cougar is also introducing the Duoair series, which shifts the PSU to the front to create a vertical intake path for airflow. The CFV220 goes in a different direction, adding a Central Flow Vent chamber, triple‑glass side panels and compatibility with reverse‑connector motherboards, making it ideal for a showcase gaming build.

In cooling, Cougar unveiled the LQX Pro 360 and LQX Elite 360 AIOs, both using VRX PWM fans. The Pro model integrates a 3.95‑inch 720×720 IPS display and a VRM fan, while the Elite version replaces the screen with a frosted ARGB panel. Air‑cooling options include the FRZ 612 dual‑tower and FRZ 412 ARGB single‑tower coolers, each with a digital temperature display, plus the display‑free FRZ 412 Elite ARGB.

Cougar’s PSU lineup now scales up to 3200W with the WS 3200, 2400, 2000 and 1600 models, all ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 compliant with up to four 12V‑2×6 connectors. The Polar V2 series introduces a compact 150mm frame, while the PV series offers 80 Plus Platinum efficiency.

The furniture range includes the Arker chair with a steel frame and extendable footrest, the Speeder Elite mesh chair with full ergonomic adjustments, and the suede‑style Fusion EX. Cougar is also showing the E‑Ares 160 sit‑stand desk and the fixed‑height Ares 160, both using a carbon‑fibre laminate surface.

Finally for peripherals, Cougar has the new 58g Revenger Pro 8K mouse with a 30,000 DPI Pixart sensor and the Phaze 8K wired 98% keyboard, which features an 8K polling rate, 4K scan rate and magnetic switches.

Enermax launches MaxTytan II 1650W Titanium power supply

5 June 2026 at 15:30

Enermax has announced the launch of its MaxTytan II 1650W ATX 3.1 Titanium PSU. This new flagship unit builds on the series' focus on efficiency and stability while introducing modern industry standards, dual native 12V-2×6 connectors, and an industry-leading 13-year warranty.

The power supply features 80 Plus Titanium certification and full compliance with Intel's latest ATX 3.1 specification. Enermax states that the unit includes dual native 12V-2×6 connectors, each capable of delivering up to 600W directly to next-generation graphics cards. Reliability is reinforced by 100% Japanese capacitors, which enable the PSU to handle power excursions up to 235% and protect against transient spikes.

As you would expect from a flagship power supply, this unit is fully modular and it does have a Zero-RPM mode to keep noise levels to a minimum at low to moderate workloads.

With 1650W of capacity, the new MaxTytan II is well suited towards ultra high-end gaming builds, as well as powerful workstations. It is all backed by a lengthy 13-year warranty too.

KitGuru says: Typically in the tech world, we see painfully short warranty windows. That is not the case with Enermax and this new power supply.

GameMax launches entry-level MAX PB PSUs starting at $49.99

25 March 2026 at 11:00

A good power supply is the heart of any PC. Typically for a budget build, you will want one with at least an 80Plus Bronze efficiency rating. GameMax is introducing its latest line of affordable bronze-rated PSUs this week, which are fully compliant with the ATX 3.1 specification.

While cheap with prices starting at just $49.99, these PSUs are not modular, so you will have to deal with hiding away some extra or unnecessary cables. If you are running a current-gen RTX graphics card, then you'll also want to opt for a 750W or 850W model, as these are the only ones featuring native 12V‑2×6 connectors. Internally, all of the new MAX PB PSUs use 100% Japanese capacitors from Rubycon, Nippon‑Chemicon and Nichicon, alongside pure copper output cables to improve conductivity and reduce power loss under sustained load.

Cooling is handled by a hydraulic‑bearing fan rated for 40,000 hours at 40°C, with smart temperature control to keep noise levels low. The MAX PB PSUs also include eight hardware protection features, including over‑power protection, under‑voltage protection, over‑temperature protection, over‑current protection, short‑circuit protection, no‑load protection, surge and inrush protection, and over‑voltage protection.

The GAMEMAX MAX PB‑Series will be available soon, with prices starting at $46.99 for the 550W model, rising to $49.99 for the 650W, $59.99 for the 750W, and $64.99 for the 850W. All models are backed by a 3-year warranty.

Thermaltake launches TT PowerCare in UK for speedy power supply replacements

28 February 2026 at 23:59

Thermaltake is launching a new programme here in the UK – TT PowerCare. Through this new initiative, ThermalTake power supply buyers in the UK will be well looked after should something ever go wrong, thanks to a swift PSU replacement service to get your system back up and running.

Starting from the 1st of March 2026, TT PowerCare will be introduced across Thermaltake’s PSU range, on top of the existing extended warranty. Under this new service, if a power supply unit is verified as faulty, Thermaltake UK will arrange a replacement within 48 working hours. On top of that, end users will no longer be required to return the faulty PSU, eliminating unnecessary downtime and logistical delays.

Speaking on the TT PowerCare programme, Thermaltake UK said: “At Thermaltake, we believe warranty support should be fast, simple, and customer-centric. With TT PowerCare, we are significantly reducing resolution time and removing friction from the RMA process, delivering peace of mind that truly matches the quality of our power supplies.”

In order to be eligible for the TT PowerCare programme, you will have to buy your TT PSU from a participating retailer. At launch, participating retailers include SCAN, AWD-IT and Falcon Computers. Additional partners may be added to the list in the future.

KitGuru Says: We don't see many initiatives like this across the UK so it is nice to see Thermaltake stepping up here. Do you think more brands should offer replacement services like this?
