Nintendo, Konami, and Bandai Namco All Benefit From Japanese Investors Pulling Away From AI, With 6-9% Stock Increases

19 May 2026 at 15:13

The image shows a Nintendo Switch OLED model with 'D2' branding on the left, a black and white sketch of a character in the center, and a digitally rendered muscular fighter with glowing red effects on the right.

A report from Bloomberg (via TheNextWeb) shows that Nintendo has been able to bounce back slightly from its stock price cratering earlier in the month when the company not only announced a Nintendo Switch 2 price hike, but a declining fiscal year 2027 forecast for the new console's sales. The reason? Japanese investors are starting to pull away from investing in AI and back into more established and trusted entities, giving Nintendo a 6.8% jump on Tuesday, marking a three-day winning streak. It's also not the only Japanese developer benefiting from the AI exodus, as Bandai Namco and Konami both […]

21 April 2026 at 12:00

AOC has introduced the AGON Pro AGP277QKDC, a 27-inch gaming monitor featuring a 4th Gen WOLED panel. The display offers native 1440p resolution at 540Hz, with a dual-mode feature that can reach 720Hz at 720p.

According to TFTCentral, the AGP277QKDC uses LG Display's latest Primary RGB Tandem WOLED technology. In this case, the panel features a 2560×1440 resolution, 0.03ms G2G response time, and a 1.5million:1 contrast ratio. In SDR mode, the panel reaches 335 nits, while HDR performance is certified under VESA DisplayHDR TrueBlack 500, with a peak brightness of 1500 nits at 1.5% APL.

The monitor supports 10-bit colour depth and covers 99.5% of the DCI-P3 colour space. For variable refresh rate performance, the unit is certified as NVIDIA G-Sync Compatible and supports adaptive-sync. User features include an anti-glare coating, flicker-free technology, and a stand with height, tilt, swivel, and pivot adjustments. I/O options include one DisplayPort 2.1 (UHBR20), two HDMI 2.1 ports, and two USB-A data ports. A USB Type-C port is also included, supporting DP Alt mode, data, and 65W power delivery. The display also integrates a KVM switch, PiP/PbP support, a headphone jack, and dual 5W speakers.

AOC 16T20 Portable Monitor Mini Review

19 April 2026 at 19:00

Recently, we purchased a handful of portable flat-panel monitors. Among these was AOC’s 16T20, an entry-level offering that sports a 15.6-inch 1080p IPS panel. AOC’s new Agon Pro AG326UZD2 boasts 240Hz Penta Tandem QD-OLED panel

2 April 2026 at 16:00

The latest Agon Pro gaming monitor from AOC looks to be very impressive. It is the first of their monitors to sport a 4th Generation QD-OLED Penta Tandem panel, a newer type of panel that aims to push OLED brightness and longevity to new heights.

According to Displayspecifications, the display features native 4K UHD resolution, a 240Hz refresh rate, a 0.03ms GtG response time, and an Nvidia G-Sync Compatible certification, ensuring motion remains fluid and tear-free. However, what sets the AG326UZD2 apart from previous iterations is its focus on panel durability and environmental adaptability. The new Penta Tandem architecture is paired with EL Gen 3 materials and DarkShield 3.0, AOC's latest anti-reflection coating. DarkShield 3.0 (likely Samsung's QuantumBlack film) is specifically engineered to preserve the “True Black” performance of QD-OLED even in well-lit rooms, a common issue for early QD-OLED adopters.

The monitor features a native 10-bit colour depth, covering 99% of the DCI-P3 gamut with factory-calibrated accuracy, achieving a Delta E < 1. On the HDR front, the display carries the VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification. While typical SDR brightness sits at a robust 300 nits, the panel can reach a peak HDR brightness of 1000 nits at a 3% APL (Average Picture Level).

The AG326UZD2 also features a comprehensive suite of modern ports, including DisplayPort 2.1 and HDMI 2.1. The inclusion of USB-C with 65W Power Delivery and DisplayPort Alt Mode makes it a viable single-cable solution for high-end laptops.

KitGuru says: If you're in the market for a high-end OLED/QD-OLED gaming monitor, the new AOC Agon Pro AG326UZD2 might be worth a look.

Nvidia will reportedly showcase N1 SoC for laptops at Computex 2026

29 March 2026 at 11:00

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang is reportedly preparing to shake up the mobile computing market at Computex in June. It is claimed that Nvidia will be launching new Arm-based processors for laptops, including the N1 and N1X.

Reports from CTEE (via VideoCardz) indicate that Nvidia has booked substantial space at the Taipei International Convention Center for the first week of June. This aggressive scheduling aligns with recent leaks of a “GB10-derived” consumer SoC, the result of a high-profile partnership with MediaTek.

While Qualcomm has spent the last two years attempting to legitimise the Windows-on-Arm (WoA) platform with the Snapdragon X Elite, Nvidia is reportedly aiming for a “day-one” advantage by leveraging its dominance in graphics and AI.

The N1X is tipped to be the flagship of this new family, reportedly featuring a 20-core Arm CPU paired with a Blackwell-based iGPU. Meanwhile, the standard N1 silicon is expected to target mainstream efficiency, bringing AI inference capabilities to everyday productivity laptops.

Discuss on our Facebook page, HERE.

KitGuru says: The N1X should have plenty of GPU power for gaming, assuming current rumours are accurate, so we'll be particularly keen to see that chip in action.

RTX 5070 graphics cards drop back below MSRP in UK sales

12 March 2026 at 16:30

With chip shortages set to drive PC hardware prices up further in 2026, the current Spring sales might be a good time to upgrade to avoid higher prices and stock shortages down the line. There are a number of good deals to be found right now on the graphics card front.

Earlier this week we covered a lengthy list of MSI deals covering graphics cards, cases, PSUs, coolers and gaming monitors. Now, Nvidia has sent us a couple more UK graphics card deals to highlight, bringing RTX 5070 GPUs back down below MSRP levels for the first time in months.

The Asus RTX 5070 Dual OC 12GB graphics card is back down to £499.99 at both OverclockersUK and CCL Computers. Right now, this graphics card is also part of Nvidia's Resident Evil Requiem promotion, so you can get a free copy of the game on Steam along with the graphics card.

If you are after something else, like an RTX 5070 Ti, or an RTX 5060 series GPU, then there are some deals to be found there too via MSI.

AOC is adding another compact and portable IPS monitor to its line-up. The new AOC 16T20E2 offers users an easily transportable display with wide viewing angles and accurate colours, ideal for multi-monitor work with a laptop.

The monitor is impressive for its slim and light profile, measuring in at just 9mm thick and weighing under 1kg, making it one of the slimmest and lightest portable monitors on the market. At this size, it is also easy to fit in a backpack, laptop bag or carry-on, making it ideal for business trips. It also has a 3H hardness for scratch resistance for more durability during travels.

As noted earlier, the display here is a 16-inch IPS panel with 1080p resolution and a 60Hz refresh rate, along with a 4ms GtG response time. The 1000:1 contrast ratio ensures clear distinction between dark and light content, while the wide 178°/178° viewing angles maintain consistent colour accuracy even when viewed from the side.

As far as connection options go, the AOC 16T20E2 offers USB-C with DisplayPort Alt Mode, along with a Mini HDMI port and a headphone output. The monitor also comes with a magnetic cover to keep it protected during transport – the cover can also be used as an adjustable stand.
