While Sony’s 2024 remake of the Supermassive Games classic ‘Until Dawn’ did not quite make the splash that the console maker had been hoping for, it appeared to be merely part of a greater plan. Following its announcement earlier this Summer, PlayStation have now confirmed that Until Dawn 2 will officially arrive early next year in January 2027.

Releasing a new trailer during their most recent State of Play, PlayStation confirmed that Until Dawn 2 will be released sooner than many expected – officially set to drop on the 28th of January 2027.

While a brief look, the trailer did offer a glimpse into the many different choices and consequences which one could make. Of course, with games such as these, it’s about more than just short-term decisions, and so we will have to wait and see how comprehensive these choices wind up being.

As mentioned, the original 2015 Until Dawn was developed by Supermassive Games, with its sequel instead being helmed by the relatively unknown Firesprite.

That said, the team made sure to note that “We've partnered with our friends at AdHoc Studio – the brilliant minds behind the acclaimed Dispatch – so you can expect a deeply layered story packed with rich characters, razor-sharp dialogue, fraught relationships, tough decisions, and yes… more than a few gruesome deaths.”

The original Until Dawn was somewhat of a lightning in a bottle, with Supermassive Games themselves being unable to recapture the magic in the years since. Hopefully Firesprite and AdHoc can do the original justice.

AOC has officially announced the Agon Pro AGP277KXM Ultra, a 27-inch Fast IPS gaming monitor featuring dual-mode resolution switching and a 2304-zone Mini LED backlight. With Dual Mode, users get access to native 5K resolution at 180Hz, or a QHD mode that boosts the refresh rate up to 360Hz. 

The Agon Pro AGP277KXM Ultra (via DisplaySpecifications) carries VESA DisplayHDR 1400 certification, reaching a full-screen HDR brightness of 1200 nits and peaking at 1600 nits. A Quantum-dot layer provides 10-bit color depth, which, alongside the ΔE<1 factory calibration, allows the panel to cover 98% of the Adobe RGB, 98% of the DCI-P3, and 100% of the sRGB color gamuts. AOC rates the Fast IPS panel at a minimum GTG response time of 0.5ms, with Adaptive-Sync support for tear-free gaming.

Aside from options to overclock the refresh rate, the screen's OSD also includes a toggle to shrink the active viewing area from 27-inches down to 24-inches, a feature primarily used by those who play a lot of esports titles.

Display connectivity includes one DisplayPort 2.1 (UHBR20), two HDMI 2.1 ports with FRL6, and a USB‑C port that supports DP Alt Mode and 65W power delivery. You also get a built‑in KVM switch, three USB‑A 3.2 Gen1 ports for peripherals, and a USB‑B upstream connection. Other integrated features include AOC’s Light FX ambient RGB, a retractable headphone hook, and a stand with full ergonomic adjustment for height, tilt, swivel and pivot.

Built on a 10‑layer server‑grade PCB, the X870E Vulcan W OC motherboard uses a heat pipe and fin array similar to GPU coolers to keep VRMs under control during heavy workloads. The flat 2560×1440 Fast IPS panel offers 178°/178° viewing angles and an anti‑glare coating. Peak brightness reaches 400 nits, earning VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification. Colour coverage is rated at 123.6% sRGB, 95.2% DCI‑P3 and 91.4% Adobe RGB. Response times are listed at 1ms GtG or 0.3ms MPRT, and the monitor supports Adaptive‑Sync with Nvidia G‑Sync compatibility.

COLORFUL has introduced the iGame X870E VULCAN W OC, a new flagship motherboard designed for AMD AM5 enthusiasts. The board combines high-end overclocking features with an all-white design and an iridescent finish that changes slightly with the viewing angle and lighting.

The new motherboard builds on the iGame X870E VULCAN OC launched earlier this year. COLORFUL says it spent more than six months refining the white version, with a focus on power delivery, cooling, memory performance, and connectivity.

Built for High-End AM5 Systems

The iGame X870E VULCAN W OC uses an 18+2+2-phase 110A DrMOS power design. It also has a graphics card-inspired heat pipe and fin cooling system to help keep the VRM section under control during demanding workloads.

The motherboard uses a 10-layer server-grade PCB with immersion gold and back-drilling. For memory, there are two DDR5 slots supporting up to DDR5-8800+ MT/s with Ryzen 9000, DDR5-10600+ MT/s with Ryzen 8000, and DDR5-8000+ MT/s with Ryzen 7000 processors.

COLORFUL has also added dedicated overclocking controls, including a Debug display, BIOS switch, and BCLK adjustment. A one-click overclocking button is available for users who want a simpler way to tune performance.

The board also supports COLORFUL’s X3D AI High Frame Rate Mode and has been adapted for AMD’s Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 processor.

iGame X870E VULCAN W OC specifications

Storage expansion is handled by five M.2 slots. Two support PCIe 5.0 x4, while the other three use PCIe 4.0 x4.

The front panel provides nine USB ports, including a 20 Gbps USB-C port with 60 W Power Delivery. Around the back, users get two USB4 Type-C ports with up to 40 Gbps bandwidth and 4K display output support.

COLORFUL has also included a 268 × 800 pixel iGame Smart LCD on the motherboard. It can display system information and adds another customizable visual feature to the board.

The design is one of the biggest differences from the standard VULCAN OC. The new model uses a white PCB and matching heatsinks, while the iridescent surface creates subtle rainbow-like reflections under different lighting.

The COLORFUL iGame X870E VULCAN W OC will launch at a suggested retail price of ¥3,999 RMB, which is approximately $600.

The days of Nvidia 3D Vision displays might be behind us but nowadays, we do have companies working on glasses-free 3D technology. We've previously seen Acer monitors experimenting with this tech, and now AOC is getting involved with its new U27G4FD monitor, with a 4K/180Hz panel and glasses-free 3D capabilities. 

According to DisplaySpecifications, the U27G4FD enables users to switch between 2D and 3D modes when using supported Windows 3D software without needing external accessories. AOC builds the monitor around a 27-inch 4K Fast IPS panel featuring a 180Hz refresh rate, 0.5ms MPRT, and 1ms GTG response times. Both Nvidia G-Sync Compatible and AMD FreeSync Premium certifications are included, alongside MBR and MBR Sync blur-reduction modes, low input latency, frame counters, dynamic crosshairs, and RTS/FPS presets.

Other specs include 400nits typical brightness, a 1200:1 contrast ratio, 10-bit colour depth, and factory-calibrated ΔE<2 colour accuracy covering 100% of sRGB and 95% of DCI-P3.
