Gigabyte unveils new 360Hz QHD and 240Hz 4K QD-OLED monitors

9 October 2025 at 16:00

Gigabyte is expanding its range of high-end gaming displays with the announcement of two new QD-OLED monitors. These include a 27-inch QHD model and a high-resolution 32-inch 4K option, both packed with the QD-OLED panel technology suitable for gamers and content creators.

For the competitive crowd, the new Gigabyte MO27Q3 is a 27-inch monitor that pairs a QHD (2560Γ—1440) resolution with a 360Hz refresh rate. The Samsung QD-OLED panel promises a near-instant 0.03ms GtG response time and is certified for VESA ClearMR 18000, ensuring exceptional motion clarity. It also boasts 99% DCI-P3 colour coverage, a 10-bit colour depth, support for AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and Nvidia G-Sync, and a peak brightness of 1000 nits.

For those who prefer a more immersive, high-fidelity experience, there's the new MO32U2. This is a 32-inch 4K (3840 x 2160) QD-OLED monitor that operates at a 240Hz refresh rate. It shares many similarities with its smaller sibling, including the same 0.03ms response time, AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and Nvidia G-Sync support, 10-bit colour depth, 1000 nits of peak brightness, and a 99% DCI-P3 gamut. However, the VESA ClearMR certification is reduced to 13000.

Both new monitors are factory-calibrated (DeltaE < 2), DisplayHDR True Black 400-certified and loaded with features, including support for FreeSync Premium Pro and G-Sync compatibility, a built-in KVM switch for multi-device setups, a fully ergonomic stand, and a 3-year warranty that includes burn-in protection. Connectivity is also decent on both models, each with two HDMI 2.1 ports, DisplayPort 1.4, and a USB-C port with 18W power delivery.

AOC AGON PRO AG276QKD2 promises 500Hz gaming and upgraded OLED brightness

18 September 2025 at 14:00

The latest AGON by AOC gaming monitor has arrived. The new AGON PRO AG276QKD2 pushes refresh rates to the limit with a 500Hz QD-OLED panel.

The new AGON PRO AG276QKD2 ships with a 3rd Gen QD-OLED panel, with 2560Γ—1440 resolution and a maximum refresh rate of 500Hz. Assuming you have the graphics card power to achieve such high frame rates, the end result should be super smooth gameplay paired with instant response times.

Unlike previous AGON PRO QD-OLED models that featured DisplayHDR True Black 400, the AG276QKD2 elevates the experience with a DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification. This enhancement delivers a peak brightness of 1000 cd/mΒ² (APL 3%), 515 cd/mΒ² (APL 10%), and 300 cd/mΒ² for a full white screen, representing a significant step up in brightness compared to previous models. The monitor supports 10-bit colour depth and therefore 1.07 billion colours, with exceptional colour coverage of 99.1% DCI-P3 and 98.0% Adobe RGB as well as an sRGB gamut area of 147.6%, making it equally suited for competitive gaming and professional content creation.

For connectivity, the monitor ships with a DisplayPort 2.1 (UHBR 20) port, offering up to 80Gbps of bandwidth, so you won't have to make any sacrifices to image quality to achieve the 500Hz refresh rate. The monitor also has dual HDMI 2.1 ports, ensuring compatibility with current-gen consoles, as well as PC.

The AGON PRO AG276QKD2 will be available starting this month, priced around Β£679 in the UK.

Asus’s new ProArt OLED PA27USD comes with a rare 12G SDI port

14 September 2025 at 11:15

Asus has taken the wraps off its latest high-end professional display at the IBC 2025 trade show in Amsterdam. The new ProArt OLED PA27USD is a 27-inch monitor that combines a 4K QD-OLED panel with a suite of professional-grade features and connectivity, designed for content creators, video editors, and colour-critical work.

The new ProArt monitor (via Guru3D) features a 27-inch 4K QD-OLED panel that promises top-tier colour performance, with a claimed 99% coverage of the DCI-P3 colour gamut and true 10-bit colour depth. For professionals who demand accuracy right out of the box, each monitor is factory pre-calibrated to a Delta E value of less than one. The monitor also comes with a built-in colourimeter that supports automatic hardware calibration and is compatible with the major professional calibration suites from Calman and Light Illusion ColourSpace CMS. It supports multiple HDR formats, including HDR10 and HLG, with a peak brightness of 1000 nits.

What really sets the PA27USD apart from consumer displays is its I/O. In a move that will please video production professionals, Asus has included a 12G SDI input, a high-end connection rarely seen outside of dedicated and high-end production monitors. This is complemented by a Thunderbolt 4 port that provides video input and 96W of power delivery, as well as a second Thunderbolt 4 output for easy daisy-chaining of other devices. A built-in USB hub and standard HDMI ports are also included.

The monitor also comes with a fully flexible stand offering a choice of two different mounting options for optimal positioning, and an included screen hood helps to reduce reflections from ambient light.

Discuss on our Facebook page, HERE.

KitGuru says: With such a feature set, the ProArt OLED PA27USD will likely be a bit too expensive for the majority of users. However, this same majority probably wouldn't need most of the features this monitor has.

Samsung is reportedly planning to launch 24-inch QD-OLED panels in 2026

2 September 2025 at 16:00

For years, gamers seeking the high contrast and low response times of an OLED display have had to opt for larger and more expensive screens of 27 inches or above. That might finally be about to change, as a new report suggests that Samsung is planning to produce a 24.5-inch OLED panel specifically for the mainstream gaming market.

The 24/25-inch form factor has long been the sweet spot for competitive and mainstream PC gaming. Many esports pros prefer its smaller size, as it offers a crisp, clear image at 1080p resolution, which is easier for mid-range graphics cards to drive. The lack of an OLED option in this popular size has been a notable gap in the market, forcing many gamers to stick with IPS and VA panels.

According to the report from Lonely City Hardware (via Notebookcheck), Samsung is looking to fill this gap with a 24.5-inch OLED panel. The panel will reportedly target a refresh rate in the 300-360 Hz range, which, combined with OLED's near-instantaneous response times, would make it a dream for competitive shooter players.

A smaller 1080p panel could be significantly cheaper to produce, finally bringing OLED technology to a more affordable price point. With 27-inch QHD OLED monitors currently starting at Β£400, these new 25-inch 1080p models could launch for less than Β£300, which would be a game-changer for the mainstream market.

KitGuru says: Would you consider getting a 1080p OLED monitor with a high refresh rate? If so, how much would you be willing to spend on it?

AOC Agon Pro AG276UZD Review (4K/240Hz QD-OLED)

1 September 2025 at 11:48

Today we're back with another QD-OLED review as we check out the AOC Agon Pro AG276UZD. Offering the same 4th Gen 4K/240Hz QD-OLED panel as the MSI MPG 272URX we reviewed recently, this screen promises high pixel density thanks to the 27in diagonal, 1000 nits of brightness in HDR, alongside other OLED benefits such as the near-instant response times and infinite contrast. Retailing for Β£700, we put this monitor through its paces and see what it can do.

Pricing is a particularly interesting area for the AOC AG276UZD, given the OLED monitor space is starting to get fiercely competitive. The aforementioned MSI MPG 272URX, for instance, officially has a Β£999 MSRP, but has already been on sale multiple times in the last two months, and is currently listed for just Β£700. That means AOC will certainly have its work cut out to impress given how much we liked MSI's offering, but we will save judgement until we have put the monitor through our full test suite.

MSI’s first 500Hz QD-OLED monitor hits retail

29 August 2025 at 15:30

MSI has today raised the bar for esports displays with the announcement of the MAG 272QP QD-OLED X50, its first 27-inch QHD gaming monitor to feature a 500Hz refresh rate. This new display is built on Samsung's latest panel technology and is designed for competitive gamers who demand high motion clarity and low response times.

This monitor was first announced back in May, but Videocardz now reports availability of the MAG 272QP QD-OLED X50. The monitor usesΒ a 3rd-gen Samsung QD-OLED panel, featuring 2560Γ—1440 resolution, a 500Hz refresh rate, and a 0.03ms GtG response time. An extreme VESA ClearMR 21000 certification further underscores the focus on motion clarity, while the DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification ensures a good HDR experience and deep blacks. The 10-bit colour panel offers extensive colour coverage, handling up to 98% of Adobe RGB, 99% of DCI-P3, and 138% of sRGB, as well as a console mode (1080/1440p at 60/120Hz) with VRR support.

MSI is also introducing some significant firmware and software enhancements with this new model. Responding to user feedback on its OLED Care features, the company has updated the firmware to extend the mandatory pixel refresh interval, now allowing for up to 24 hours of uninterrupted use before a reminder is necessary. For those who want more brightness in HDR, a new β€œEOTF Boost” mode has been added, which is said to deliver a brighter image than the standard β€œPeak 1000 nits” setting under the same APL conditions.

The monitor comes with a height-adjustable stand with pivot, tilt, and swivel capabilities. If that's not enough, there's always support for VESA 100Γ—100 monitor arms to enhance ergonomics further. For connectivity, there are two HDMI 2.1 ports, a DisplayPort 1.4a, a USB-C port with DP alternative mode and 15W of power delivery, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

KitGuru says: The new generation of QD-OLED panels is here, and they sure look promising. If you were to buy a new high-end monitor, would you consider something like the MSI MAG 272QP QD-OLED X50?

AOC launches 4th Gen QD-OLED Agon Pro AG326UZD gaming monitor

4 August 2025 at 10:30

AOC is launching the Agon Pro AG326UZD, a new 31.5-inch display built around a new-generation Samsung QD-OLED panel, combining a native 4K resolution with a blistering 240Hz refresh rate.

The Samsung QD-OLED panel used on the Agon Pro AG326UZD (via DisplaySpecifications) promises a 1.5 million:1 static contrast ratio, 450 nits of peak brightness, and VESA DisplayHDR 400 True Black and ClearMR 13000 certifications. Performance is top-tier, with the 240Hz refresh rate backed by a near-instantaneous 0.03ms GtG response time. The panel also offers true 10-bit colour and covers 99% of the DCI-P3 gamut, ensuring vibrant visuals.

Driving this panel, AOC has equipped the monitor with a full suite of modern connectivity. The inclusion of DisplayPort 2.1 is crucial, providing enough bandwidth for the 4K/240Hz signal without compromise. Two HDMI 2.1 ports join it for consoles and other devices, and a USB-C port with DP Alt Mode. A built-in USB hub and dual 8W speakers are also included for convenience.

The monitor sits on a fully ergonomic stand that offers height, tilt, swivel, and even 90-degree pivot adjustment, which is a nice touch for a 32-inch screen. It also features standard Agon gaming features like crosshair overlays and shadow control, which can be configured through the AOC G-Menu software.

KitGuru says: If you're interested in the Agon Pro AG326UZD, ensure that you're buying the right monitor. AOC also has the AG326UD, which is very similar but uses an OLED panel instead of a QD-OLED one.

MSI MPG 272URX Review (4K/240Hz QD-OLED)

21 July 2025 at 13:00

Today we're checking out MSI's MPG 272URX monitor. Utilising a 4th Generation QD-OLED panel from Samsung, this screen boasts a 4K resolution and 240Hz refresh rate, much like the MPG 321URX, but now over a more compact 27in screen size. It still promises 1000 nits of peak brightness, effectively instant response times and infinite contrast, so let's dive in and see what this screen is all about.

With the new 4th Generation panels, also referred to as β€˜2025 QD-OLED', Samsung isn't making huge changes compared to previous iterations of the technology. The company claims improved durability and better burn-in protection thanks to the new EL 3.0 panel structure, while that also allows for higher pixel densities – as we see here with the 4K resolution over the 27in screen size – without sacrificing brightness.

Apart from that, we're expecting the MSI MPG 272URX toΒ perform similarly to the 3rd Gen 321URX, though it does also boast support for DisplayPort 2.1 at the full UHBR20 bandwidth, meaning you can drive 4K/240Hz without DSC as long as you have a compatible GPU.

AGON by AOC launches 26.5-inch 4K/240Hz QD-OLED gaming monitor

28 May 2025 at 15:59

AGON by AOC is getting another excellent addition to its premium gaming monitor line-up. The new AGON PRO AG276UZD utilises a 3rd-Gen QD-OLED panel, offering 4K resolution at up to 240Hz refresh rate, with ultra-low 0.03ms response times.

The new AGON PRO AG276UZD gaming monitor delivers a peak HDR brightness of 1000 nits paired with the virtually infinite contrast ratio inherent to OLED technology. These specifications ensure perfect blacks and bright highlights, creating a fantastic viewing experience with a high level of colour accuracy. Specifically, this monitor has 10-bit colour support and covers 99.3 percent of the DCI-P3 gamut, and 96.5 percent of the Adobe RGB colour space, making it great for gaming and for work like video and photo editing, design, illustration, etc.

CΓ©sar Acosta, Gaming Product Manager at AGON by AOC, said that with this launch, they are β€œgiving gamers exactly what they've been asking for”. There has indeed been huge demand for more OLED gaming monitors on the market, as the visual benefits far surpass a lot of LCD-based monitors. OLED monitors also tend to support very fast refresh rates at very low latency, making them ideal for gaming.

The AG276UZD comes equipped with future-proof connectivity, including 2x HDMI 2.1 ports, 1x DisplayPort 2.1 with UHBR 20 support (offering a bandwidth of up to 80Gbps), and USB-C with 65W Power Delivery and DP Alt mode – ideal for connecting both high-end gaming PCs and laptops. The DisplayPort 2.1 interface is particularly noteworthy as it ensures that the monitor can handle high refresh rates at 240Hz at its full 4K resolution with 10-bit colour depth without compression, future-proofing the display for upcoming GPU generations.

The ergonomic stand provides 130mm height adjustment, tilt, swivel, and pivot functions to reduce strain during long gaming sessions or workdays. Like other OLED monitors in the AGON PRO range, the AG276UZD includes comprehensive OLED Care features and is backed by a 3-year warranty covering burn-in.

If you are in need of a 27-inch 4K monitor with no compromises in visuals or speed, then the AGON PRO AG276UZD will be available from June 2025 at an MSRP of Β£719.00.

Latest Philips Evnia gaming monitor boasts OLED panel with 280Hz refresh rate

27 May 2025 at 15:31

Philips' Evnia gaming monitor lineup is seeing a refresh with the introduction of the 27M2N6500P, an upgrade to the 27M2N6500 model revealed earlier this year. This new monitor aims to boost refresh rates while offering the same specs as its predecessor.

The 27M2N6500P features a 27-inch QD-OLED panel with a WQHD resolution (2560 x 1440). The key upgrade here is its boosted refresh rate of up to 280 Hz, a step up from its 240 Hz sibling. As expected from a QD-OLED, it boasts a near-instantaneous 0.03 ms response time, alongside a 1,500,000:1 contrast ratio. The display offers 10-bit colour depth, extensive colour coverage (118% Adobe RGB, 100% sRGB, 99% DCI-P3), and a DeltaE value of less than 2 out of the box. It's certified with DisplayHDR True Black 400, reaching a peak brightness of 1,000 cd/mΒ² for HDR highlights, with SDR brightness at 250 cd/mΒ². A ClearMR 13000 certification further validates motion clarity on this display.

For gamers, Adaptive Sync technology is available to prevent screen tearing. The monitor also includes features like picture-in-picture and picture-by-picture modes, a smart crosshair overlay, and three-sided Ambiglow for dynamic ambient lighting. Ergonomically, the stand offers decent adjustability with tilt, swivel, height adjustment up to 130 mm, and pivot functions, plus VESA mount compatibility for alternative setups.

Connectivity options include two HDMI 2.0 inputs, a DisplayPort 1.4, a USB 3.2 hub with two downstream ports (one supporting fast charging), and a headphone output. Note that due to the HDMI 2.0 bandwidth limitation, the display can only achieve 144 Hz refresh rates over HDMI, rather than its maximum refresh rate of 280 Hz.

MSI expands QD-OLED monitor lineup with first 500Hz display

18 May 2025 at 15:15

MSI is showcasing a new line of AI-powered QD-OLED gaming monitors at Computex 2025. There are two new models: the MPG 271QR QD-OLED X50 and the MAG 272QP QD-OLED X50.

Leveraging Samsung Display's 3rd-generation QD-OLED technology, both monitors are 27-inch displays featuring WQHD (2560 x 1440) resolution, a 500Hz refresh rate, and a 0.03 ms GTG response time. These monitors meet the VESA ClearMR 21000 and DisplayHDR True Black 500 certifications, ensuring industry-leading motion clarity, high contrast, true blacks, and rich colour (around 99% DCI-P3). The MPG 271QR is highlighted as the β€œworld's first” 27-inch 2K QD-OLED at 500Hz, while the MAG 272QP is billed as MSI's first 27-inch 2K QD-OLED esports gaming monitor.

Although both monitors look the same spec-wise, the MPG 271QR QD-OLED X50 has some unique AI features that the MAG 272QP QD-OLED X50 doesn't. These AI features include the AI Navigator, which provides a simplified menu for easily adjusting and optimising the monitors' AI settings in one location. Moreover, MSI's AI Care Sensor uses real-time human identification and dynamically modifies settings to protect the monitor and increase efficiency. This system, powered by an NPU-based IC and CMOS sensor, detects user presence; when no user is identified, it automatically dims the monitor or engages OLED Care features, extending the monitor's life while saving energy.

Both monitors are covered by the MSI OLED Care program, but while the MAG 272QP QD-OLED X50 is under version 2.0, the MPG 271QR QD-OLED X50 is covered by version 3.0, likely due to the OLED-protective AI features that it has. Pricing and availability aren't yet known for the MPG 271QR QD-OLED X50 (should be cheaper than the MAG 272QP), but these could be unveiled during Computex 2025. As for the MAG 272QP QD-OLED X50, this monitor is already available in China and costs about CNY 6000 (Β£626).
