Computex 2026: ASRock showcases new OLED monitors, graphics cards and more

2 June 2026 at 16:00

We are now beginning our series of Computex booth tours! Our first stop of the week is ASRock, who are showcasing new gaming monitors, AIO liquid coolers, graphics cards and Taichi 10th Anniversary hardware.

Watch via YouTube below:

06:59 Power Supplies

Following a reveal at CES earlier this year, ASRock is now launching two new flagship AIO liquid coolers – the Taichi Aqua 360 LCD and the Taichi 360 Holo. Designed with enthusiasts in mind, the Taichi Aqua model has a transparent water channel, giving you a little bit of that custom-loop aesthetic with the simplicity of an AIO design. On the other side, the Taichi Holo uses a floating 3D visual effect, created using Persistence of Vision technology.

On the monitor front, ASRock continues to expand with a new line-up of Taichi OLED gaming monitors, offering resolutions up to 4K, and refresh rates as high as 540Hz depending on the model.

The lineup includes the 4K 240Hz TCO27USA and the 2K 500Hz TCO27QXA, both equipped with QD-OLED panels. In addition, the new Taichi TCO27QXB sports a Tandem OLED panel, along with Dual Mode functionality, so you can switch between a higher-resolution mode with a lower refresh rate, or a lower-resolution mode with a maximum 540Hz refresh rate.

The Phantom Gaming line is also getting a new OLED display – the 34″ Ultrawide PG34QSR.

ASRock is also expanding further into the power supply market this year. The flagship Taichi TC-3000P is designed for multi-GPU workstations, you know, the kind that might be running local LLMs and various AI tools.

There is something here for gamers as well though. If you are a fan of Small Form Factor PCs, then the new Phantom Gaming SFX 1000W is probably worth checking out. It has enough power for today's high-end gaming rigs, as well as excellent efficiency and noise ratings. If you don't need a full 1000W, there is also an 850W version, which has a Cybenetics Lambda A++ rating, ranking it as one of the best for quiet operation. As you would expect, both models are fully modular, so you won't have to deal with too much cable clutter.

ASRock also has a new Steel Legend RX 9070 GRE hitting the market. AMD just announced the global launch of this graphics card at Computex, opening the door for board partners like ASRock to finally sell their own custom-cooled solutions. Previously, the RX 9070 GRE had only been made available in China.

KitGuru Says: Is there anything here that you'll be keeping an eye on for a future upgrade?

2 June 2026 at 14:30

Asus has announced its latest monitor lineup at Computex 2026, including what it claims is the world's first 24.5-inch OLED esports monitor, the ROG Strix OLED XG259QWPG Ace.

The ROG Strix OLED XG259QWPG Ace features an FHD TrueBlack Glossy Tandem WOLED panel with a 540Hz refresh rate and a 0.2ms response time. Due to its new-gen panel, it delivers a higher peak brightness and a longer lifespan compared to older WOLED models.

For high-resolution gaming, Asus introduced the 31.5-inch ROG Swift OLED PG32UCWM, featuring a 4K Tandem RGB OLED panel with an RGB Stripe Pixel layout and Dual Mode function, allowing users to switch between 4K/240Hz and 1080p/480Hz.

Computex 2026: MSI launches world’s first 31.5-Inch triple mode QD-OLED monitor

2 June 2026 at 09:30

MSI announced the MPG OLED 322URDX36. This one stands out from the pack thanks to its extra refresh rate modes. While there are many ‘dual mode' monitors on the market now, this new display from MSI offers three modes, allowing for 680Hz, 520Hz or 360Hz gameplay depending on resolution.

The Triple Mode technology enables switching between 4K at 360Hz, QHD at 520Hz, and FHD at 680Hz operational profiles. The monitor utilises a 5th-generation QD-OLED panel built on Penta Tandem technology. Text legibility is preserved with an RGB Stripe sub-pixel layout that reduces colour fringing. Moreover, the display is layered with DarkArmor Film, which claims a 40% improvement in black levels and a 2.5x increase in scratch resistance. Uniform Luminance technology is also included, adding support for custom HDR curve adjustments.

Performance metrics for the display include a peak HDR brightness of 1500 nits, meeting the VESA DisplayHDR True Black 600 and ClearMR 18000 certifications. Panel protection is handled by an integrated AI Care Sensor, which mitigates OLED burn-in.

Input connectivity includes a DisplayPort 2.1a port supporting UHBR20 speeds, alongside a concurrent USB-C port delivering up to 98W of power. System configuration and profile management are adjustable via the Gaming Intelligence application.

KitGuru says: The dual-mode configuration is already quite handy in some scenarios, but the new Triple Mode configuration takes that even further.

Gigabyte launches GO27Q24G OLED monitor with RealBlack glossy coating for £380

26 May 2026 at 08:30

Gigabyte has announced the availability of the GO27Q24G, a new 27-inch QHD (2560×1440) gaming monitor built around an LG WOLED panel with a new glossy coating. The price tag isn't bad for an OLED either, coming in at £380.

Featuring a 240Hz refresh rate, a 0.03ms GTG response time, and 99% DCI-P3 colour gamut coverage, the GO27Q24G integrates LG's Micro Lens Array Plus (MLA+) hardware layer to boost luminance and power efficiency by redirecting internal light reflections. Gigabyte combines this with its proprietary HyperNits technology to boost HDR brightness by up to 30% while preserving highlight integrity and offers manual high and medium presets. For the coating, Gigabyte opted for its RealBlack Glossy layer, designed to minimise glare without diminishing contrast.

The panel reaches a standard 275 nits of brightness in SDR and up to 1300 nits of peak brightness in HDR, earning VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification. Variable refresh rate (VRR) compliance includes native support for both Nvidia G-Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium. To address panel longevity, the display uses an AI-based algorithm called AI OLED Care to mitigate image retention risks. It is also supported by a three-year manufacturer's warranty covering panel burn-in.

The design employs a four-sided borderless frame that extends the glass to the edge of the screen. The bundled metal stand provides 130mm height adjustment, -5° to 21° tilt, 90° pivot, and 15° swivel. Connectivity options include one DisplayPort 1.4, two HDMI 2.1 ports, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C port supporting DisplayPort Alternate Mode and 15W power delivery. The Gigabyte GO27Q24G has an MSRP of $499, but it can be acquired for £379.99 in the UK and $399.99 in the US.

AOC has introduced the Agon Pro AGP277QKP, a new 27-inch QHD (2560×1440) gaming monitor launched with circular polarisation technology for the Chinese market. Built around a Fast IPS panel, the display delivers a 425Hz refresh rate over a full-bandwidth DisplayPort 2.1 input or dual HDMI 2.1 connections.

The monitor (via DisplaySpecifications) features a 2000:1 static contrast ratio, 10.7 billion colour output, and factory calibration with a ΔE < 2. Colour gamut coverage spans 100% of sRGB and 95% DCI-P3. Certified to the VESA DisplayHDR 400 standard, the display achieves a peak brightness of 450 nits in HDR mode. For motion performance, the hardware is rated for a 0.3ms MPRT and 1ms GTG response time, supported by Motion Blur Reduction (MBR), MBR Sync, and Nvidia G-Sync Compatible validation.

The display integrates circular polarisation technology to simulate natural light, alongside hardware-level low-blue-light protection and flicker-free backlighting. Productivity features include Picture-in-Picture (PIP) and Picture-by-Picture (PBP) modes, plus an integrated USB hub consisting of three USB 3.2 Gen1 ports and a fast-charging upstream port. Software customisation is managed through the AOC G-Menu suite, which provides access to visibility adjustments such as Dark Boost and Shadow Control.

The monitor's design includes narrow bezels, a multi-edge base, and a built-in retractable headphone hook. The bundled stand supports 150mm height adjustment, along with tilt, swivel, and full pivot rotation. Ambient lighting is provided by the integrated Light FX system, which offers 14 preset effects and over 10 million colour combinations. The manufacturer has not confirmed pricing and international availability.

Discuss on our Facebook page, HERE.

KitGuru says: Monitors with circular polarisation are becoming increasingly more popular, and it may even soon become standard. In Europe/UK, options with this tech are still limited, but if what's happening in China replicates in other regions, it shouldn't take long to see a flood of these displays on the shelves.

Philips launches 24B2D5300 ‘dual sided’ monitor with two 120Hz IPS panels

19 May 2026 at 13:30

Philips has introduced something quite unique to the market this week. The new 24B2D5300 is a 120Hz IPS monitor, but it actually houses two screens, one on the front and one on the back, designed for customer-facing environments and collaborative workspaces.

The monitor uses two identical 23.8‑inch IPS panels, each offering 1080p resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and wide 178° viewing angles. Both sides include their own USB‑C port with 65W power delivery, plus HDMI support, allowing each screen to operate independently or connect to separate devices. Philips’ SmartView and DualView modes enable content to be split, mirrored or extended across the two panels, while OSD Sync allows brightness and image settings to be adjusted on both screens simultaneously.

One example of this monitor being put to use would be on a reception desk or service counter, where check-in details or forms can be displayed on the rear side, while internal applications remain visible on the employee's side of the monitor. A 180‑degree swivel base allows either screen to be rotated and shared easily during collaboration or training.

Each panel supports Philips’ MultiView picture‑in‑picture and picture‑by‑picture modes, enabling two users to work from separate sources on the same device. Eye‑comfort features include Flicker‑free, Low Blue Light, SoftBlue Technology and Eyesafe 2.0 certification.

The Philips 24B2D5300 will be available starting in June, priced at £359.99, backed by a 5-year warranty.

The monitor delivers a WQHD resolution of 2560×1440, a 320Hz refresh rate, and a 0.03ms grey-to-grey response time. By moving from previous 4-layer designs to the 5-layer Penta Tandem stack, the panel disperses energy more effectively, resulting in improved luminous efficiency and a longer overall lifespan compared to conventional OLED alternatives. The screen is also coated with DarkArmor Film technology, which increases surface hardness from 2H to 3H for 2.5 times better scratch resistance while simultaneously enhancing pure black levels by 40%.

Architectural improvements within the panel aim to address common OLED limitations such as grey banding, screen non-uniformity, and “black crush”. The MAG OLED 271QPX32 features specialised low-grey processing designed to maintain a consistent gamma curve when switching refresh rates or using variable refresh rate. Furthermore, the monitor has received QuantumView verification from UL Solutions, confirming an 83% luminance retention at a 60-degree viewing angle with minimal colour shift.

The display carries VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 and VESA ClearMR 15000 certifications and supports MSI's custom Uniform Luminance feature. For hardware longevity, it includes the MSI OLED Care 2.0 suite of burn-in prevention mechanisms. Connectivity on the rear IO includes two HDMI 2.1 ports, one DisplayPort 1.4a port, and one USB Type-C port supporting DisplayPort alternate mode and 15W power delivery. MSI has not yet disclosed finalised pricing or availability details.

KitGuru says: Although the move from a 4- to 5-layer QD-OLED panel shouldn't massively improve picture quality, it should still offer a noticeable upgrade in areas such as panel longevity, text clarity, and luminous efficiency. For those looking for a top-notch QD-OLED monitor for their setup, the upcoming MSI MAG OLED 271QPX32 might be worth considering once it becomes available.
