Philips has announced the 34B2U5900C, a 34-inch curved business ultrawide monitor featuring dual-mode resolution switching. 

Releasing this month, the 34B2U5900C allows users to toggle between a WUHD 5120×2160 resolution at 120Hz and a WFHD 2560×1080 resolution at 240Hz via a dedicated OSD button. Built around a curved VA panel with 178-degree viewing angles, this display carries VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification, along with TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light and Eyesafe 2.0 hardware protection. For colour-critical work, it comes Calman Ready to interface directly with Portrait Displays' calibration software.

Docking capabilities include a USB-C upstream port that provides display, data, and up to 140W Power Delivery. A secondary USB-C downstream port supplies up to 15W and works alongside an integrated USB 3.2 hub and an RJ45 Ethernet jack that supports MAPT, PXE, and WOL. SmartKVM lets you switch between two connected input sources by pressing the “Ctrl” key three times.

Energy management relies on built-in PowerSensor and LightSensor tech that adjusts brightness based on ambient light and user presence. Physical features include an earphone hook and an adjustable stand that supports height, tilt, and swivel adjustments. This monitor will be released in September 2026 for £574.99.

Philips has introduced something quite unique to the market this week. The new 24B2D5300 is a 120Hz IPS monitor, but it actually houses two screens, one on the front and one on the back, designed for customer-facing environments and collaborative workspaces.

The monitor uses two identical 23.8‑inch IPS panels, each offering 1080p resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and wide 178° viewing angles. Both sides include their own USB‑C port with 65W power delivery, plus HDMI support, allowing each screen to operate independently or connect to separate devices. Philips’ SmartView and DualView modes enable content to be split, mirrored or extended across the two panels, while OSD Sync allows brightness and image settings to be adjusted on both screens simultaneously.

One example of this monitor being put to use would be on a reception desk or service counter, where check-in details or forms can be displayed on the rear side, while internal applications remain visible on the employee's side of the monitor. A 180‑degree swivel base allows either screen to be rotated and shared easily during collaboration or training.

Each panel supports Philips’ MultiView picture‑in‑picture and picture‑by‑picture modes, enabling two users to work from separate sources on the same device. Eye‑comfort features include Flicker‑free, Low Blue Light, SoftBlue Technology and Eyesafe 2.0 certification.

The Philips 24B2D5300 will be available starting in June, priced at £359.99, backed by a 5-year warranty.
