Halo Campaign Evolved PC system requirements confirmed

24 June 2026 at 16:00

Halo Campaign Evolved looked much better than I was expecting, in part thanks to a fresh set of skulls that make some insanely fun changes to gameplay. Now, with the game just a few more weeks away, Microsoft has confirmed the game's PC system requirements, including recommended specs for 1080p, 1440p and 4K.

In the table below, you can see the full PC system requirements for Halo Campaign Evolved, the new Unreal Engine 5-based remake of the original Halo game:

Settings Low (Minimum) Medium High (Recommended) Ultra
Resolution 1080p @ 60fps 1440p @ 60fps 4K @ 60fps 4K @ 60fps

VRAM 8GB 8GB 12GB 16GB
Operating System Windows 10 22H2 64‑bit / Windows 11 (ReBAR Recommended)
Storage SSD with 100GB available space

Halo Campaign Evolved is a complete remake of the original Halo Combat Evolved campaign, but with a few extra missions and some other gameplay tweaks. Aside from being the first game in the series to run entirely on Unreal Engine 5, it is also the first game in the series to offer a third-person gameplay mode, so you can see more of the action on-screen, including Master Chief himself. Traditionally, all of the mainline Halo games have been first-person shooters.

Halo Campaign Evolved launches on July 28th for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.

KitGuru Says: I wasn't planning on picking this up when it was first announced but it honestly looks like they did a great job with it. The question is, will they eventually give the same treatment to Halo 2 and Halo 3?Β

Gears of War: E-Day Demands just 12GB RAM and an RTX 2060, Defying PC Players’ Worst Fears

14 June 2026 at 10:00

Marcus Fenix in 'Gears of War: E-Day' leaps towards an enemy in a battle scene set in a fiery, war-torn landscape.

The Coalition is undoubtedly one of the most technically proficient Unreal Engine developers, and they've shown that again with Gears of War: E-Day. Besides the impressive games the studio previously released, The Coalition regularly helps other Xbox teams that use Epic's engine, and they were also among the first to release not one but two Unreal Engine 5 demos: Alpha Point in 2021 and The Cavern in 2022. It certainly took a bit longer than expected to make Gears of War: E-Day, but now that it's almost here, the game looked visually stunning during the dedicated showcase that followed the […]

During the Road to Launch event, developer Rebel Wolves unveiled detailed PC specifications for their debut game, the highly anticipated fantasy open world action RPG The Blood of Dawnwalker. The specs look fairly demanding on paper: the GeForce RTX 5090, the most powerful graphics card on the market, is required to play the game at 4K resolution and 60 frames per second while using the Ultra preset. However, the developers clarified that the following target resolution, frame rate, and presets were calculated without taking into account upscaler and frame generation, which will be supported (including NVIDIA DLSS and AMD FSR).
