Nintendo Direct September 2026: Every Game Announced

By: Aftab Ali
9 September 2026 at 16:10

Nintendo just spent 45 minutes proving Switch 2’s second wave is going to be relentless, and I’m still catching my breath. Here’s every game that showed up during this Nintendo Direct, broken down so you’re not scrolling through a wall of text to find the one you care about.

Nintendo Direct 9.9.2026

The remakes and remasters keep coming

  • Monster Hunter Wilds and Ascendance – confirmed for Switch 2 with local play, landing 4th December, Ascendance to follow in 2027
  • Crisis Core: FF7 Reunion – out on Switch 2 the same day as the Direct, no fanfare needed
  • Final Fantasy VII Revelation – new trailer, launches 8th April
  • Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity – Definitive Edition – new difficulty mode, out 25th February
  • The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered – arrives this month
  • Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 – Royal Edition – lands sometime in 2027
  • Pikmin 4 – Switch 2 Edition – voice commands via the console mic, out 12th November, which is either genius or a recipe for shouting matches with your Pikmin
  • Xenoblade Chronicles 3 – Switch 2 Edition – new survival mode and hero Shimmer, out 3rd December
  • Resident Evil 2, 3 and 4 Remakes – bundled together on Switch 2, 16th October, still one of the best deals in gaming right now
Final Fantasy 7 Revelations - Nintendo Direct

New games worth actually caring about

  • Metroid Ravenous – the real headline for me, Samus returns in a 2D follow-up to Dread, out 28th January with a special edition and new Amiibo
  • Persona 4 Revival – classic JRPG confirmed for Switch 2
  • Persona 6 – officially confirmed, but Atlus is keeping every detail locked down for now
  • Kirby and the World Beyond – full 3D open-world adventure with a new sword and cap ability, closing out the show, arriving 2027 and looking properly gorgeous
  • Kirby Air Riders – new Amiibo wave (Sword Kirby, Dragoon, Noir Dedede, Hydra), out 12th November

Everything else announced during Nintendo Direct

  • Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave – arrives next week
  • LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight – hits 18th September
  • Nintendo Switch Sports Resort – out 22nd October with jet skis, planes, and an AI rival named MATT that sounds deeply annoying
  • Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves – plus its Chun Li DLC, also 22nd October
  • Mario Kart World – free update out today adding classic Super Mario Kart tracks
  • Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis – confirmed for 12th February
  • Danganronpa 2Γ—2 – new Slayhem Mode, out 14th January
  • Mega Man: Dual Override – Proto Man joins the fight, spring 2027
  • Eternal Anima – time-travel JRPG, out 4th March
  • Yu-Gi-Oh! Tag Force GX – enhanced port, out 16th February
  • Romancing SaGa 3: Destinies United – remake with new cutscenes, also 16th February
  • Metal Slug Ultimate Collection – ten games in one package, 2027
Tomb Raider 2

Switch 2’s second year isn’t just going to be busy. It’s going to be a scheduling nightmare, and I mean that as a compliment.

CPU or GPU Bottleneck? How to Diagnose What’s Really Limiting Your Gaming Performance

20 June 2026 at 17:55

A promotional image titled 'CPU or GPU Bottleneck? How to Diagnose & Fix' shows a CPU and GPU with a graph displaying 'FPS 142,' 'Frametime 7.1 ms,' 'CPU Usage 92%,' and 'GPU Usage 58%'.

Ah, the ultimate PC gaming boogeyman: β€œIs my CPU bottlenecking my graphics card?” It’s the first question we ask ourselves when building a new rig, slapping in a shiny GPU upgrade, or wondering why a game feels like a stuttery mess despite dropping a small fortune on PC hardware. But here is the hard truth, folks: a bottleneck isn’t a permanent stamp on your PC. It is a dynamic, fast-shifting state dictated by the specific game you're playing, the resolution you're running, your graphics presets, and your target framerate. Your system can be completely GPU-bound in a graphically heavy AAA […]

LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight PC Performance Analysis & Tuning Guide – How To Get Best Experience On PC

2 June 2026 at 22:01

A LEGO Batman stands in front of a neon cityscape with the text 'PC Performance Analysis & Tuning Guide' on the left side.

With PC games becoming increasingly complex nowadays β€” especially open-world games built on Epic Games’ Unreal Engine 5 β€” default/maxed-out graphics settings rarely, if ever, strike the optimal balance between visual fidelity and performance that most PC gamers seek, and LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is no exception to this rule. TT Games’ latest LEGO Batman adventure is certainly a much more visually ambitious game than the studio’s older LEGO titles, with its open-world Gotham City, dense streets, detailed LEGO characters and assets, physically convincing plastic materials, attractive effects, and state-of-the-art UE5-powered visuals. However, this added visual ambition […]

A LEGO character looks at a tablet with a person in the background holding a 'Gotham Globe' newspaper that reads 'Breaking News Falcone Free.'

LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is the latest DC game to release and has so far been a major critical success for publisher WB Games and developer TT Games. Now, it appears that a new leak from user X0X_LEAK on X (formerly Twitter), spotted by Insider-Gaming, reveals what WB and TT Games has coming for the new LEGO adventure in terms of DLC. Unsurprisingly, the next dozen DLC characters dig further into the vault of great Batman villains. Before continuing, it's worth mentioning that every leak and rumour, even from a source (like this one) that has previously […]

LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight: How to Fix PlayStation Controller Icons On PC

22 May 2026 at 11:21

A LEGO Batman minifigure stands in front of the Batmobile in a scene from the game 'LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight.'

LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight supports all major controllers on PC, including the DualSense controller. Support for the PlayStation 5 controller is among the best we have seen in recent times, as the controller's haptic feedback is also supported via a wireless Bluetooth connection. However, some players may not be able to enjoy these features or even see the correct DualSense icons when playing the game on PC via Steam. As there are no settings to change in the game's options menu, you will need to tweak your Steam settings to fix this issue. Disabling Steam Input If […]
