Persona 6 Steam page has officially gone live

19 June 2026 at 10:00

Almost 10 years on from the last mainline entry’s release, Persona 6 was finally officially announced during Microsoft’s Xbox Games Showcase. Though no release date was provided, the long-awaited JRPG seems to be well on its way to being complete, with the game now having its Steam page go live.

Available now to wishlist on Steam, the official store page for Persona 6 has gone live. While most of what’s been shared was already known, its arrival did come with a new description, writing:

β€œPersona 6 brings everything beloved about the series into a bold new story. The signature blend of heartfelt daily life and pulse-pounding supernatural adventure returns, wrapped around a completely fresh, standalone story and new cast of characters.”

Persona 6 Steam

Unfortunately, a majority of the description can be applied to most Persona games, with ATLAS primarily explaining the series’ overall concept. Interestingly, the team made sure to note on multiple occasions that P6 will offer a standalone story. Of course, long-time fans already know this, but with a decade between releases (and a 6 at the end of the title) it makes sense for ATLUS to emphasise this fact.

Other ancillary details include the fact that the game uses some form of 3rd-party DRM; supports 15 languages in total (though audio is limited to English/Japanese); and will allow for Steam Family Sharing.

While Persona 6 getting a Steam page doesn’t mean much in the grand scheme of things, it does suggest that the title should hopefully make its rumoured release date – believed to be September 2027.

Persona 6 has finally been officially announced

8 June 2026 at 08:30

In the nearly-a-decade since the initial release of ATLUS’ beloved Persona 5, there have been plenty of leaks and rumours discussing the next mainline entry in this now iconic series. Finally, after releasing a bunch of P5 spin-offs and crossing over with countless other IPs, ATLUS has officially announced that Persona 6 is real and is in development – though no release date was provided.

Making the announcement during Microsoft’s latest Xbox Games Showcase, ATLUS gave us our first official look at Persona 6. While details remain light, the colour scheme for this entry is a bright neon green, contrasted by the dark and dreary visuals of what appeared to be a cemetery.

Additionally, the teaser included some very Resident Evil-esque horror imagery, suggesting that the atmosphere for P6 will be more oppressive when compared to previous entries.

Of course, the Persona series has always toed the line between scary and chill vibes, and so we will have to wait and see what Persona 6’s more social aspects will look like. That said, based on what little we have seen so far, ATLUS is taking the series into a darker direction – perhaps closer to the stylings of its sister series Shin Megami Tensei.

Either way, with Persona 5 first releasing all the way back in 2016, it is exciting to know that Persona 6 is actually real and will come out sooner or later on current-gen Xbox, PlayStation and PC (and will be a day-one Game Pass addition).

Xbox Games Showcase Drops First Look At Occult-Themed Persona 6 With A Teaser Too Short After 10 Years of Silence

7 June 2026 at 18:29

The image shows a glowing green logo with 'P6' inside a circle above the text 'PERSONA 6'.

This year's Xbox Games Showcase was a good one for fans of the Persona series, as the presentation delivered not only the first proper look and release date for Persona 4 Revival, but also dropped the official announcement of the next main entry in the series, Persona 6. Unfortunately, the roughly 1-minute-long teaser showed very little of the game, preferring to go all-in in the eeriest atmosphere we have seen for the series to date, surpassing even the cryptic Persona 5 teaser with its question challenging players to break their chains and obtain emancipation and freedom. This choice seems deliberate, […]
