Go's IPO — Japan's biggest so far this year — has done more than provide a much-needed boost to the country's languishing listing season. It has also supplied the taxi-hailing app with the capital required to address an existential issue: Japan's shortage of drivers.

Each month, Sony updates its PlayStation Plus Extra / Premium line-ups with new (and sometimes returning) games. As expected, June’s titles have now been officially unveiled. In an interesting move by the console maker however, Sony announced that all future releases on PlayStation Plus will be added in a staggered manner – at least in the UK, US and Japan.

Taking to their blog to make the announcement, Sony officially unveiled the full list of titles which will be joining PlayStation Plus Extra / Premium’s library later this month. Curiously, the console maker is changing the way it releases games onto the service, now taking a more staggered approach in certain regions.

While globally all the games will go live on the 16th of June, users in the US, UK and Japan will seemingly be getting some earlier, while others later; with Sony noting that they are “exploring new ways to deliver PlayStation Plus Game Catalog titles in select markets.”

With that, the full list of upcoming inclusions and their regional release dates are as follows:

• Sonic X Shadow Generations | PS5, PS4 (Available today)
• Final Fantasy XVI | PS5 (16th of June)
• Kingdom Come: Deliverance | PS5, PS4 (23rd of June)
• Life is Strange: Double Exposure | PS5 (23rd of June)
• Farming Simulator 25 | PS5 (30th of June)
• Blades of Fire | PS5 (30th of June)
• Black Desert | PS5 (30th of June)
• [PS Plus Premium] Gitaroo Man (16th of June)

While a solid month overall, particularly with the inclusion of Final Fantasy XVI, Life is Strange: Double Exposure and Kingdom Come, PlayStation’s decision to spread their arrivals across multiple weeks in a small handful of regions does seem a bit odd.

That said, it is likely that this renewed version of the program will find its way to the rest of the world in due time. We will have to wait and see.

For years now, fans have been wondering what Sony Santa Monica’s Cory Barlog has been working on, with previous leaks and rumours suggesting that it would be a new IP in a Sci-Fi setting. Recent reports from industry insiders however have since shed some light on the matter, claiming the mystery project to be a God of War spin-off with Kratos’ wife Faye as the lead. Following this, we’ve now gotten additional details, including suggestions that the game will tackle multiple mythologies.

Following leaks back in March which claimed that Sony Santa Monica’s next project is a God of War spin-off focused on Kratos’ late wife Faye which would “differ from the Norse God of War games with more of a focus on action,” we’ve now gotten some additional details pertaining to this rumoured 2027 title.

According to a new report from the publication mp1st, this upcoming spin-off will deviate from the past two title’s Norse-based mythologies, ‘confirming’ that “elements from Chinese and Japanese mythologies will be part of a new entry in the series.”

Of course, while the OG God of War games tackled Greek Mythology and the recent duology took Kratos to Midgard (and the Norse realms as a whole), Sony Santa Monica have teased the existence of other mythologies in-game and so such a shift would not be surprising.

Regardless, we should hopefully learn about this mysterious project sooner rather than later, with insider Tom Henderson recently claiming that an official announcement could be arriving as soon as this month. We will have to wait and see.
