Love it or hate it, Fortnite is pretty much THE crossover game of our time, with the Battle Royale / platform collabing with countless different IPs over the years. Even so, next Season looks to be particularly heavy on the crossover front, with rumoured franchises including Mega Man, Minecraft, Sonic the Hedgehog and other “Gaming Legends” said to be dropping onto the battlefield.

As reported by multiple leakers, Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 could be one of its biggest when it comes to crossovers. This is not only due to the sheer number of supposed collabs said to be happening, but also because Season 4 will reportedly be the first time in which an entire Battle Pass is being dedicated to crossover characters (not including past Disney collabs).

Of course, this should all be taken with a pinch of salt, but according to the leakers, some of the IPs seemingly dropping next Season include:

• Mega Man
• Sonic the Hedgehog
• Minecraft
• Persona
• Kingdom Hearts
• Crash Bandicoot

At this point, Fortnite has crossed over with so many characters and IPs that nothing would come as a surprise. Still, it would be interesting to see how Season 4 will be presented assuming this leak proves to be true.

Will we see multiple different changes to the map based on these franchises? We will have to wait and find out.

Though an uncommon practice, we have started to see an increasing number of indie developers give away their previous game in anticipation of a follow-up. Such is the case with the Mega-Man-inspired Gravity Circuit, with the devs officially announcing a sequel while giving the prior entry away for free on Steam.

Taking to their official Steam page to make the announcement, the team at Domesticated Ant Games revealed that the highly-praised throwback platformer ‘Gravity Circuit’ is set to receive a sequel next year, writing:

“Once again, the Gravity Circuit, finds himself facing an unstoppable force. But this time, he's not alone. Choose Gravity or Power Circuit in this action-packed 2D platformer inspired by console classics. GRAVITY CIRCUIT 2, the sequel to the critically acclaimed Gravity Circuit IS COMING in 2027.”

In celebration of the official announcement, the team have made the first game free to claim on Steam right now. This promotion will last until the 14th of June, so make sure to grab it white it’s available.

For the uninitiated, Gravity Circuit is a Mega Man / Mega Man X styled throwback 2D platformer, borrowing similar visual identities and character designs as Capcom’s early classics.

Released back in 2023, the game was met with ‘Overwhelmingly Positive' reviews on Steam, and so it’s definitely worth grabbing – especially for free.

Capcom’s PRAGMATA has been a long time coming, with the new 3rd-person sci-fi shooter / strategy game first being announced all the way back in 2020 during Sony’s big PlayStation 5 reveal event. Since then, the game has been delayed multiple times, with the publisher finally settling on a launch date of the 17th of April 2026. With weeks to go until its impending release, Capcom have now confirmed that PRAGMATA has officially gone Gold.

Taking to Twitter to make the announcement, the team at Capcom confirmed the fact that “PRAGMATA has officially GONE GOLD!” writing:

“Thank you to all the fans who have supported us so far! We're thrilled to share this important milestone with you all. Launch is just around the corner! The dev team is looking forward to seeing #PRAGMATA in your hands on April 17.”

For the uninitiated, going Gold means that the PRAGMATA master disc has been submitted to Capcom publishing. Discs can then be pressed with finalised software and digital storefronts can upload the 1.0 version of the game ready for release. It’s a process that every game goes through, and means that – aside from post-launch patches and updates – PRAGMATA should be complete and ready to play.

In an amusing post tied to April Fool’s day, Capcom also shared a short video which shows PRAGMATA’s protagonist being replaced by Mega Man, poking fun at the years-long speculation that the title is in fact a secret new entry in the classic series.

Of course, this isn’t the case, however it is funny nonetheless to see Capcom themselves joining in on the fun. PRAGMATA officially launches on the 17th of April, with a demo available to check out right now.

While sales may be somewhat lighter than the publisher was hoping for, SEGA’s Sonic Racing Crossworlds is a success in the eyes of many fans, offering a solid blend between fun gameplay, recognisable IPs and the promise of future content. One of the game’s big post-launch DLCs – Mega Man – has now gotten an official launch date; set to race onto the track in less than a week’s time.

Releasing a tongue-in-cheek trailer reminiscent of the classic Mega Man openings, SEGA officially confirmed that Sonic Racing Crossworlds’ Mega Man DLC pack will launch on the 25th of March.

This marks the 4th of 6 total post-launch crossover packs coming to the game, with the previous 3 being Minecraft; SpongeBob Square Pants and Pac-Man. Future DLCs yet to come include a TMNT themed crossover as well as one based on Avatar: The Last Airbender.

No price has been provided yet, however based on the previously-released DLC packs expect it to set you back £4.99 while including two characters (Mega Man and Protoman), a single course; a new vehicle and perhaps a music track or two.

Regardless, with the upcoming addition of Mega Man and co. Sonic Racing Crossworlds is continuing to live up to its name.

In recent years, Capcom has been hosting semi-regular showcases, informing its fans on what the publisher is currently working on. With Resident Evil Requiem now out and available for the world to enjoy, Capcom have announced that their next Spotlight showcase will go live later this week, featuring titles including Street Fighter 6; Pragmata and Mega Man.

Releasing a brief teaser trailer, publisher Capcom officially announced their next livestream, writing: “The Capcom Spotlight is a digital event that brings you the latest news from Capcom! We will be presenting the latest news on highly anticipated upcoming Capcom titles.”

Set to go live on the 5th of March at 10 PM UK time, the broadcast is confirmed to last roughly 35 minutes long, and will include new details on a number of upcoming titles, namely:

• Street Fighter 6
• Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection
• Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection
• Pragmata
• Mega Man Dual Override

By far the most interesting of these titles is Mega Man Dual Override, with the 2027 game being the first brand new entry in the franchise since 2018’s Mega Man 11. Based on the previous teaser shared, the game looks to follow in the footsteps of the classic Mega Man entries. That said, we will likely learn much more regarding the minutiae of the game during this upcoming showcase.

Aside from a few stumbles (Monster Hunter Wilds), Capcom has been on a generational run, and so it will be interesting to see what they have planned for Mega Man.
