LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight comes to Switch 2 this September alongside new DLC

4 June 2026 at 08:00

With the launch of the Switch 2, weโ€™ve seen an increasing number of developers begin to support Nintendoโ€™s latest handheld-hybrid with 3rd-party releases. That said, some of these titles have been late arrivals, or are still waiting to be released. Fortunately, one game which is only seeing a couple months buffer between its PC/PS5/Xbox and Switch 2 launch is LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight โ€“ officially coming to Switch 2 this September.

LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight recently released across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC, arriving on the 19th of May to solid and consistent reviews across the board.

While Switch 2 owners were unfortunately left out during this launch period, the game is set to make its way to the portable platform soon, with Warner Bros. confirming that LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight โ€œcomes to Nintendo Switch 2 on September 18!โ€

This launch will coincide with the release of the Mayhem Collection DLC, and luckily Switch owners will be able to join in on day-one alongside all other platforms.

Unfortunately, we have yet to receive any technical specifications for the Switch 2 version of the game. That said, the trailer released maxes out at just 1080p and 30fps. While this does not necessarily mean that the full game wonโ€™t feature higher resolutions/framerates, it does not lend any confidence to the idea โ€“ especially as this is the first offering from TTGames to run on Unreal Engine 5.

Either way, LEGO games are a perfect fit for the Nintendo Switch, and so it is exciting to see that Legacy of the Dark Knight is coming to the platform sooner than some may have been expecting.

KitGuru says: Have you played Legacy of the Dark Knight? How did it run for you? Will the game be locked to 30fps on Switch 2? Let us know your thoughts down below.

LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight PC Performance Analysis & Tuning Guide โ€“ How To Get Best Experience On PC

2 June 2026 at 22:01

A LEGO Batman stands in front of a neon cityscape with the text 'PC Performance Analysis & Tuning Guide' on the left side.

With PC games becoming increasingly complex nowadays โ€” especially open-world games built on Epic Gamesโ€™ Unreal Engine 5 โ€” default/maxed-out graphics settings rarely, if ever, strike the optimal balance between visual fidelity and performance that most PC gamers seek, and LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is no exception to this rule. TT Gamesโ€™ latest LEGO Batman adventure is certainly a much more visually ambitious game than the studioโ€™s older LEGO titles, with its open-world Gotham City, dense streets, detailed LEGO characters and assets, physically convincing plastic materials, attractive effects, and state-of-the-art UE5-powered visuals. However, this added visual ambition [โ€ฆ]

LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight supports all major controllers on PC, including the DualSense controller. Support for the PlayStation 5 controller is among the best we have seen in recent times, as the controller's haptic feedback is also supported via a wireless Bluetooth connection. However, some players may not be able to enjoy these features or even see the correct DualSense icons when playing the game on PC via Steam. As there are no settings to change in the game's options menu, you will need to tweak your Steam settings to fix this issue. Disabling Steam Input If [โ€ฆ]

Rocksteady devs brought Arkham DNA to Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight

19 May 2026 at 15:30

LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight has impressed early players thanks to its massive Gotham map, combined with its Arkham-style combat. Now we know why the game shares so much DNA with the Arkham games โ€“ Rocksteady has been working on it.ย

As spotted by VGC, the end credits for Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight confirm that 24 employees from Rocksteady worked on the game, including producers, designers, programmers and artists, meaning that Rocksteady touched almost every aspect of the title.

Early reviews for Legacy of the Dark Knight pointed out that the game took inspiration from Rocksteady's Arkham series, with a similar Free Flow combat system, as well as a ton of collectibles, including the infamous Riddler trophies and a wide range of different Bat Suit costumes.

It is a good sign to see Rocksteady working on Batman again. After the massive failure of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, there was some concern that Rocksteady could be shut down but the studio remains active on multiple projects.

KitGuru Says: Hopefully Rocksteady can return to its own Arkham game at some point. It has been over ten years since Arkham Knight, but fans still regularly sing the praises of those games.ย

Forza Horizon 6 and Lego Batman game files leak ahead of launch

11 May 2026 at 13:15

This year, a bizarre number of AAA games have been uploaded to Steam for pre-loading without any encryption in place. This has already led to Death Stranding 2 being playable and piratable before its official release date. Now, the same thing has happened with Forza Horizon 6 and the new Lego Batman game.ย

Forza Horizon 6 isn't due to launch until May 19th for standard edition buyers, or May 15th for those buying the Premium Edition. However, as spotted by early pre-loaders on Steam, the game files were made available to download unencrypted, creating a similar situation to Death Stranding 2, where pirates were able to play the game early while legitimate customers still had to wait.

While pirates were able to access Forza Horizon 6, Playground Games has quickly begun banning unauthorised accounts playing early due to this leak.

In the case of Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, the Xbox version of the game was made available to pre-download ahead of its release date, but someone messed up and made the unencrypted version of the game available, allowing Xbox owners to launch the title early, despite it not being released. However, due to consoles being more locked down compared to PC, the developers are going to have a much easier time containing this leak.

Discuss on our Facebook page, HERE.

KitGuru Says: Pre-loading has been a thing for both PCs and consoles for over a decade now but leaks have been largely kept to a minimum. I don't know what changed in the last couple of months, but suddenly, these kinds of leaks seem to be popping up regularly.ย
