ATK sent me the Sky F1 V3 Extreme+ for this review, but the brand has no influence over what I write here. Everything in this review is based on my own experience with the mouse, from its build and comfort to its gaming performance and everyday use.

Launched on July 14, 2026, the Sky F1 V3 Extreme+ takes a very lightweight approach, coming in at just 36g while using a hole-free shell. It also features the PAW3955 Master flagship sensor and Nordic 54 Series MCU, which give it some serious hardware credentials on paper.

But specifications only tell part of the story. What matters more to me is how a mouse actually feels after spending real time with it. So, rather than simply going through the spec sheet, I’ve focused this review on how the ATK Blazing Sky F1 V3 Extreme+ performs in actual use and whether it lives up to what it promises.

Unboxing

The ATK Blazing Sky F1 V3 Extreme+ comes in a black box with orange accents. The front shows the mouse and the main model branding. It also has the ATK GEAR logo and the Blazing Sky Wireless Mouse name.

The back is more detailed. It lists the main features and product information. You can also find the model label, production details, and certification markings.

Once the box is opened, the mouse and dongle are placed in a foam insert. They are held firmly in place. This gives the mouse good protection during shipping.

Below that, there is a separate accessories box. The packaging is simple and well organized.

A Closer Look

The ATK Blazing Sky F1 V3 series comes in two variants, Ultimate+ and Extreme+. The one I’m reviewing here is the Extreme+. It is available in two colors, Blue Leviatan Edition and Coral Pink. I have the Coral Pink version for this review.

The mouse measures 118.2 × 62.4 × 38.8 mm and weighs 36g ± 3g. The low weight is immediately noticeable when you pick it up. It feels very light in the hand, but the shell itself feels solid and sturdy.

The overall shape is symmetrical, which gives it a balanced feel. However, the side buttons are placed on the left, so it is better suited to right-handed users. I found the shape comfortable with both a claw grip and palm grip.

The mouse uses a matte finish. It feels smooth in the hand without being too slippery. The shell also doesn’t feel hollow or weak despite the low weight.

The main left and right buttons have a noticeable clicky sound. Both buttons feel crisp and consistent when pressed. The two side buttons on the left have a similar clicky feel and sound.

The ATK branding is placed near the front of the left side. The Blazing Sky logo is located on the palm area. You also get F1 Extreme branding toward the rear side of the mouse.

On the bottom, the mouse has a mesh-style design. The mouse skates are not pre-installed, so you need to install them before use. ATK has used this open mesh design to cut down some of the weight while keeping the mouse sturdy. The sensor is placed in the center, with the power switch next to it.

Even with the open design underneath, the mouse feels sturdy during normal use. I didn’t notice any unwanted flex while using it.

Overall, the Sky F1 V3 Extreme+ keeps the design simple. The symmetrical shape, 36g weight, matte finish, and solid shell make it comfortable to use, while the left-side buttons make it more practical for right-handed gamers.

Battery and Connectivity

The Sky F1 V3 Extreme+ uses a 200mAh high-density battery. ATK rates it for up to 80 hours at 1000Hz polling rate. The mouse also supports fast charging, which is useful when you need to get back to gaming without waiting too long.

For connectivity, the mouse supports both 2.4GHz wireless and wired mode. In wireless mode, it uses the included GEM 8K Dongle. The dongle supports an up to 8000Hz polling rate, while the included 8K Ultra-Spec Data Cable can be used for wired operation and charging.

GEM 8K Dongle

The included GEM 8K Dongle is one of the main parts of the Extreme+ package. It allows the mouse to run at up to 8K polling, which means the mouse can report its position to the PC more frequently than at lower polling rates.

For normal desktop use, I don’t think 8K is something you will notice immediately. Its benefit makes more sense when you’re gaming at high refresh rates and want to get the most out of the mouse’s hardware.

The wireless connection itself is straightforward. You can use the mouse wirelessly with the GEM 8K Dongle or switch to the supplied cable when needed. There is no need to compromise on connectivity just to keep the mouse wireless.

User experience

I tested the Sky F1 V3 Extreme+ in Warzone, Battlefield 6, and PUBG PC. The 36g weight makes a big difference. With a short hand movement, I could cover a good distance on the mousepad. This was useful for quick turns and flick shots.

The mouse supports 8000Hz polling in both wired and wireless modes. I used it with the GEM 8K Dongle. Tracking felt smooth and quick during fast gameplay.

The PAW3955 Master sensor supports up to 40,000 DPI and can reach 50,000 DPI with overclocking. I did not need such high DPI for gaming. At my normal settings, tracking felt accurate and consistent.

The 0.163ms rated button latency also helps with the fast feel. The Omron Optical Switches feel crisp and have short travel. They give a quick response without needing much pressure. The click quality also gives the mouse a more premium feel.

I tried both claw and palm grip. Both worked well for me. The large skates also provide a smooth glide and make the mouse easy to control.

ATK HUB Software

The ATK HUB software gives you full control over the Sky F1 V3 Extreme+. The interface is clean and easy to understand.

From the Key Change Settings, you can remap all the mouse buttons. You can also create macros and assign them to different buttons.

The DPI Settings let you create multiple DPI levels. I used 400, 800, 1600, and 3200 DPI in my setup. You can also set different X and Y values.

The Performance Settings include the polling rate. You can select anything from 125Hz up to 8000Hz. The software also shows estimated battery life based on your settings. At 1KHz, it shows around 240–300 hours, while 8KHz shows around 24–30 hours.

There are also several useful options under Parameter Settings. You can adjust the debounce delay, LOD height, sensor rotation, sensor virtual offset, and Dynamic DPI Curve. Options like Movement Synchronization and Ripple Correction are also available.

The Configuration Management section lets you save up to four local profiles. You can switch between them depending on the game or your setup. Cloud configuration is also available after logging in.

The software also lets you check the mouse and receiver firmware versions, pair the receiver again, and reset the mouse if needed.

Overall, I found ATK HUB easy to use. It gives you plenty of settings without making things too complicated.

Final verdict

After using the ATK Blazing Sky F1 V3 Extreme+, I came away quite impressed with how well everything works together. The 36g weight makes the mouse very easy to move, while the solid shell still gives it a good and premium feel. The shape also worked well for my claw and palm grip.

The gaming performance was another strong point. I tested it with Warzone, Battlefield 6, and PUBG PC, and the mouse felt smooth and responsive. The PAW3955 Master sensor, 8000Hz polling rate, low button latency, and large skates all worked well during fast movements and aiming.

I also like the Omron Optical Switches. They have a crisp click and short travel. A small hand movement can cover a good distance on the pad, which I found useful in FPS games.

The ATK HUB is another plus. It gives you a lot of customization options, including DPI, polling rate, LOD, debounce, sensor settings, profiles, and more. This makes it easy to set the mouse up according to your own playing style.

The only thing I would point out is the price. It sits a little on the higher side compared with some lightweight wireless mice. But considering the build quality, features, software, and gaming performance, I think the overall package justifies the price.

For me, the Sky F1 V3 Extreme+ is a great gaming mouse. It is light, comfortable, fast, and packed with useful features. I would definitely recommend it, especially if you are looking for a lightweight wireless mouse for competitive FPS gaming.

ATK has launched the new Blazing Sky Phantom, a lightweight wireless gaming mouse designed for players who want fast and precise control without carrying extra weight. The mouse weighs just 44 grams and combines a carbon fiber composite shell with a flagship PAW3955 Master sensor and 8000Hz polling.

The Phantom uses a hollow shell with staggered cutouts to keep the weight down while maintaining a rigid structure. ATK has also given the mouse a symmetrical, low-profile shape measuring 119.7 × 62.5 × 37.3mm. The company says it is designed mainly for small to medium-sized hands and supports claw, palm, and fingertip grips.

Lightweight Design With a Competitive Focus

The 44g weight is the main attraction here, especially for competitive gamers who prefer lightweight mice for quick movements. ATK says the mouse has been designed around an evenly tapered waist, a centered ridge, and a carefully tuned rear profile to provide a more controlled grip.

The shell is made from a carbon fiber composite material rather than a conventional plastic body. Its staggered openings reduce material while helping maintain the strength of the mouse.

ATK is offering the Phantom in four finishes: Dune, Verge, Eon, and Prime. The design also features a retro-style sunburst graphic on the side shell, giving it a more distinctive appearance than a typical lightweight gaming mouse.

Under the shell, the mouse uses the PAW3955 Master sensor. It supports up to 40,000 DPI normally, with ATK listing up to 50,000 DPI when overclocked. The sensor is rated for up to 850 IPS tracking and 75G acceleration, while the lift-off distance can be adjusted between 0.7mm and 1.7mm.

Wireless 8K Polling and Optical Switches

The Blazing Sky Phantom supports 8000Hz polling in both wired and 2.4GHz wireless modes. It uses a Nordic 54LM20 MCU together with ATK’s ApexShark MAX firmware.

ATK lists a button latency of just 0.174ms. While the high polling rate is mainly aimed at competitive gaming setups, the company recommends a relatively powerful PC and a display above 240Hz to get the most from the 8K mode.

The mouse also uses Omron optical switches for the main buttons and a Raesha optical encoder for the scroll wheel. This gives the Phantom an all-optical input system for its primary controls.

A 300mAh battery provides up to 200 hours of battery life when the mouse is running at 1000Hz polling. It can be used wirelessly or connected through the included 8K paracord cable.

The package also includes pre-installed white translucent skates, additional skate sets, an 8K GEM dongle, and an 8K Nano dongle. ATK HUB v3.0 software is available for adjusting DPI, polling rate, button assignments, and other settings.

Cherry Xtrfy added a new ultralight mouse to its lineup at Gamescom this week. The M42V2 comes in at 45g and introduces a redesigned modular rear shell at a lower price point, marking the first entry in a refreshed series.

The M42V2 builds on the original M42, keeping the symmetrical shape but redesigning the shell, allowing it to snap on, or be removed, without any tools. In the box, users get two shells to choose from, one with a more pronounced hump, and one with a flatter shape, so you can switch between them depending on preference.

At 45g, the M42V2 sits among the lightest solid‑shell mice available. Cherry Xtrfy has avoided the perforated design used by many ultralight competitors, instead opting for a matte UV‑coated body and UHMW‑PE feet.

Under the hood, the mouse runs a PixArt 3327 sensor with CPI settings from 400 to 6200 and a 1000Hz polling rate, so you won't be getting some of the features we see in higher-end mice, but you'll also be saving a good amount of money too.

The design looks similar to mice such as the Razer Viper series, with a simple shape aimed at fast and comfortable gaming. Everglide has shown the mouse in both black and white, although the company has not yet shared a full list of specifications.

The biggest feature of new wireless gaming mouse is its magnetic switch technology. This type of switch is becoming increasingly common in gaming peripherals because it can offer more control over how the buttons respond.

Depending on the final implementation, magnetic switches can support features such as adjustable actuation and rapid trigger. These features can be useful in competitive games where quick and precise inputs matter.

Everglide has not revealed all the details about its switch system yet, so it is too early to say exactly how it will perform compared with other magnetic gaming mice.

A Lightweight Design Similar to the Razer Viper

At only 49 g, weight is another major selling point. Everglide says its mouse will be noticeably lighter than Logitech’s magnetic gaming mouse implementation.

The mouse measures 64.62 x 127.06 x 39.97 mm, putting it in a relatively familiar size range for modern lightweight gaming mice.

The shape shown by Everglide closely resembles the general design of the Razer Viper family. It has a clean body without unnecessary visual elements, which should appeal to gamers who prefer lightweight and straightforward mice.

Expected Price and Launch Date

Everglide appears to be targeting a price of around CNY 399, which was roughly $59.30 at the time of writing. However, the company has indicated that the final price has not been completely decided yet.

The Everglide 49g wireless gaming mouse is currently expected to launch in September 2026.

That pricing could make it an interesting product if Everglide manages to deliver a good sensor, reliable wireless performance, and properly tuned magnetic switches without pushing the cost higher.

Everglide Is Joining a Growing Magnetic Mouse Market

Magnetic switches have already started appearing in more gaming mice, following the growing interest in features such as adjustable actuation and rapid trigger. Everglide’s entry shows that the technology is no longer limited to a small number of premium gaming peripherals.

Still, there are several important details missing. Everglide has yet to reveal the mouse’s sensor, polling rate, battery capacity, wireless technology, software features, and full switch specifications.

If the company gets those areas right, a 49 g wireless mouse with magnetic switches at around CNY 399 could be a compelling option for gamers looking for a lightweight competitive mouse without spending heavily on a flagship model.

For now, Everglide is expected to reveal more information ahead of the September 2026 launch.

But after spending three months daily-driving this mouse, does this revolutionary tech actually translate to real-world aiming performance, or is it just clever marketing?

Closing Thoughts

The Logitech G Pro X2 Superstrike introduces incredibly cool technology that undoubtedly raises the ceiling for the entire peripheral industry, much like Hall Effect switches did for keyboards. The HITS triggers allow you to digitally adjust actuation depth, rapid trigger sensitivity, and the physical haptic feedback (which feels remarkably similar to a MacBook trackpad). Setting the Rapid Trigger aggressively makes spam-clicking semi-auto weapons outrageously fast and absolutely deadly.

However, the 30ms latency advantage comes with a massive caveat. To achieve it, you have to run the actuation point at its absolute lowest setting, which forces you to completely unlearn the natural habit of pre-tensioning your fingers before a shot. I did a bunch of real world test but I also ran a human benchmark reflex test every couple of days for over three months and the Superstrike actually fell 5.55ms *behind* my Pulsar X2 Crazylight.

Once I backed the actuation off to a more controllable 3/10, the experience was lovely, but I cannot confidently say it resulted in hitting shots I would have otherwise missed.

Outside of the triggers, this is very much a classic “Superlight” experience, for better or worse. The premium wireless performance, exceptional 2kHz battery life, and grippy coating are fantastic. Conversely, the side buttons remain disappointingly mushy, the stock skates are a bit thin, and the safe “potato” shape still gets in the way during tracking-heavy games for claw and fingertip grippers. Furthermore, housing the haptic engines up front means the 62g weight is no longer perfectly centered, resulting in a noticeably front-heavy balance.

Ultimately, if you play tactical shooters like CS2 where a single well-timed click is everything, it is worth checking out for yourself. But if you play tracking-heavy games, you might feel more at home with a lighter, smaller and better-balanced alternative.

Keychron has revealed a refreshed version of its M4 fingertip gaming mouse, bringing the flagship MagOpt switches previously introduced on the G6 HE, along with four translucent colour options.

The updated model shared on X has the former Huano mechanical switches replaced with Keychron's MagOpt switch technology, built to provide enhanced click performance, better tactile feel, and longer lifespan. Designed for fingertip grip users and fast-paced FPS gameplay, the ultra-compact chassis retains its lightweight form factor. Tracking may continue to be handled by a PixArt PAW3950 sensor, though an upgrade to the PAW3955 is possible.

A visual overhaul accompanies the internal hardware updates, introducing four translucent colourways dubbed Frosted Lavender, Frosted Ice, Frosted Smoke, and Frosted Mint. These options give the peripheral a more retro look across purple, grey, black, and green finishes.

Keychron has not yet confirmed official pricing or release dates for the MagOpt-equipped M4. However, with the standard M4 retailing around £50, the expected price will likely be slightly higher.

Razer is updating one of its longest‑running MMO favourites with the launch of the Naga V3 Pro, a new modular version of the mouse built to adapt across genres using three magnetic side plates for MMO, MOBA or FPS games.

Attack Shark has announced the F1 Air, a 39g wireless gaming mouse supporting up to an 8K polling rate and 60,000 DPI. 

At the core of the F1 Air sits the PixArt PAW3955MAX sensor supporting 1K, 2K, 4K, and up to 8K polling modes. The sensor covers a sensitivity range of 1 to 60000DPI with 1DPI adjustment steps, 850IPS tracking speed, and 75G acceleration. Attack Shark also added a five-level lift-off distance system along with tracking optimisations for glass mouse pads.

Processing is handled by a Nordic nRF54L15 wireless MCU, which powers the company's Smart Speed Wireless technology to achieve click latencies down to 0.168ms in 8K mode. Included with the mouse is a shark-fin 8K receiver featuring an enlarged antenna and LED indicators for battery life, polling rate, and connection status. For the buttons, the company went for Omron optical switches rated for 100 million clicks and a glass coating on the shell.

Orders for the new flagship peripheral will open on the company's website starting August 17th.

Closing Thoughts

The Corsair Nightsword V2 Wireless is a niche product that struggles to balance its unique software capabilities with its physical hardware. The integration of the virtual Stream Deck is interesting but only to a select few. Having a highly customizable macro pad pop up on your screen at the press of a conveniently located thumb button can be a productivity dream, however accommodating this feature seems to have compromised the core gaming experience. At 92 grams, it feels heavy and fatiguing for competitive play, completely lacking the agility found in modern more lightweight alternatives.

Furthermore, the fundamental physical interactions are a mixed bag. While the scroll wheel is fantastic and the side buttons feel great, the main clicks suffer from significant pre- and post-travel, making them feel hollow and sluggish. Add in a slippery rubberized side coating, and the £119 price tag becomes a little hard to justify.

If you value aim and agility, there are much better mice on the market; if you desperately need Elgato macros, you are likely better off buying a physical Stream Deck or leaving the macros and shortcuts to your keyboard.

OpenMouse is an open-source, browser-based control panel designed to configure gaming mice across Windows, macOS, and Linux without installing proprietary software. Operating via WebHID in Chromium-based browsers, the tool aims to provide universal control over hardware settings for multiple brands.

Although OpenMouse (via TechPowerUP) remains in early access and is not yet publicly available, the team claims initial support for brands like WLMouse (Beast G/X and Huan), Endgame Gear (OP1we and OP1 8K), Pulsar (X2 CrazyLight), Logitech (Superlight 2(C) and Superstrike), and Orbital (Pathfinder). Specific hardware support includes the Logitech G Pro X2 Superstrike, with the team noting that integration for Logitech's HITS inductive switch and haptics technology is currently in development. Keychron has teased a new fingertip variant of its G6 HE gaming mouse, chopping off the back of the shell to lower weight and create a more compact design.

The concept shared on X retains core features from the standard G6 HE, including MagOptic switches, programmable side buttons, a PAW3955 sensor, an 8K polling rate, tri-mode connectivity, and a removable battery. To balance the reduced frame, Keychron shifted the battery location forward within the shell. The target weight for the wireless configuration is roughly 30g, though running the mouse without its battery in wired mode could bring the weight down to 23g.

Keychron noted that it's currently gathering community feedback before tooling, meaning the design isn't finalised. Responses from users include requests for a pinky rest, lowered left and right click buttons, an asymmetrical shape, and attachment points for 3D-printed shape modifications. However, it's still unclear which of these will make it into the retail version.
