Hogwarts Legacy 2 is in development, Warner Bros confirms

13 August 2026 at 12:30

Hogwarts Legacy went on to become one of the best-selling titles of 2023, so it should come as no surprise that Warner Bros. is keen to get a sequel out the door. In a recent letter to shareholders, WB reaffirmed its commitment to gaming, while also confirming that Hogwarts Legacy 2 is in development.

In the letter, Warner Bros. says that “games remains an important growth lever as we work toward our long-term Studios segment goals”. While WB lost a lot of money on titles like Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League and MultiVersus, the publisher has also made a lot from games like Hogwarts Legacy and LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, alongside new mobile releases like Game of Thrones: Dragonfire.

At this point, Warner Bros. has four major franchises that it is focusing its gaming efforts on, including LEGO and Harry Potter. WB told investors that it expects games to “more meanigfully contriute to segment profitability” in the years ahead, with the now confirmed “second installment of Hogwarts Legacy” leading the charge.

There is still no word on when Hogwarts Legacy 2 might release, but we do know that key development roles were being hired throughout 2025. At this point, the game should be well into development, so we will hopefully see it revealed within the next couple of years.

31 July 2026 at 11:43

An AMD Radeon RX 9050 graphics card is shown on the left versus an MSI RTX 5050 graphics card on the right, with the text 'RX 9050' and 'RTX 5050' prominently displayed.

The new RDNA 4 GPU came out slower than expected, and it's not even able to compete with the entry-level NVIDIA RTX 50 GPU. Early AMD RX 9050 Benchmarks Reveal Significantly Slower Performance Versus RTX 5050 Across Various Applications The newest AMD RDNA 4 GPU has been tested by the Japanese outlet Hermita, and the results easily favor the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5050. Asobo Reinvents A Plague Tale With Resonance, Trading Stealth for Sophia’s Dagger-And-Sword Action Combat, But Puzzles Are the Real Highlight

23 June 2026 at 20:00

A promotional image for 'Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy' showing protagonist Sophia, a character with curly hair holding two knives, set against a landscape with ancient ruins and a group of warriors.

Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy, the third installment in Asobo Studio's acclaimed action/adventure series, finally materialized in the form of a remote preview organized by publisher Focus Entertainment around two months ahead of the launch date. According to Studio Asobo, Resonance has been in development for nearly four years following Requiem's release. The team expanded to roughly 80 developers over that period specifically to support the shift toward an active combat-driven protagonist, which producers identified as one of the project's biggest creative challenges. Asobo has stated that the production budget is in line with previous entries in the series, despite […]

Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy is releasing soon

30 April 2026 at 14:30

It looks like Asobo Studio will have more to share about Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy soon. The third game in the Plague Tale series was announced back in June 2025, but the release now appears to be just around the corner.

In a developer blog posted this week, Asobo said that the release for this game is “almost here”, indicating that the game will be with us in the next few months.

Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy is a prequel, set 15 years before the events of A Plague Tale: Requiem, which launched back in 2022. The game follows Sophia, who was first introduced in Requiem, telling the story of her past.

Sophia’s journey leads to the Minotaur Island, where she faces deadly trials and solves puzzles, all while fighting and staying one step ahead of the army chasing her.

KitGuru Says: If the release is almost here, then a proper release date announcement, PC system requirements and other details should be with us soon.

Naughty Dog potentially teasing a return to Uncharted

6 April 2026 at 10:00

What was once their bread and butter, Naughty Dog’s Uncharted franchise has not seen a new entry since the 2017 spin-off ‘The Lost Legacy’. Despite this, many fans continue to yearn for the return of the IP in one form or another (live-action movies not included). While it could very well be hopium, one of the creative directors at Naughty Dog has teased that they are conducting research for what appears to be a very Uncharted-esque project.

Taking to Instagram, Naughty Dog creative director Shaun Escayg shared a vibrant image of an old cannon overlooking a beautiful island alongside the caption “Research…”

While nothing else was provided in the way of details or context, fans quickly discovered that the picture in question was taken from Fort George in Trinidad & Tobago. Of course, even without the exact location, the photo itself gives major Uncharted vibes, leading many to hope that Naughty Dog could be in the early stages of work on a revival.

For context, Shaun Escayg is a creative director at Naughty Dog who is perhaps best known for leading the charge on the highly-underrated ‘The Lost Legacy’ spin-off back in 2017. Since then, the studio has been in a bit of an odd spot.

Naughty Dog Uncharted

Of course, they launched the successful-yet-controversial The Last of Us Part II in 2020 followed by a remake of Part I in 2022. Unfortunately, the long-awaited TLOU Online was ultimately cancelled, and so as of right now all that is known officially is that the team are working on the brand new IP Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet and a second mystery project.

Given that Intergalactic is being headed by Neil Druckmann, having Shaun Escayg take charge on bringing back Uncharted would make a great deal of sense. It will be interesting to see what this ‘research’ proves to be referring to.

KitGuru says: What do you think of the post? Could it be teasing a new Uncharted game? What direction would you want to see a revival take? Let us know down below.

Uncharted IP Revival Seemingly Takes Shape as Lost Legacy Director Teases “Research” Image

3 April 2026 at 08:30

Two characters, Nathan Drake and Chloe Frazer, stand with guns in a jungle setting from the game Uncharted.

It's been nearly nine years since the release of Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, the most recent installment in Naughty Dog's award-winning action/adventure franchise, but the wait for a new Uncharted game announcement may bear fruit. Folks have feared the IP might be abandoned for good, especially given Naughty Dog's precedents: the Californian studio previously sunsetted both Crash Bandicoot and Jak & Daxter (although the former, being owned by Activision, is active once again). However, there was always a difference: while those were child-oriented franchises, Uncharted is adult-themed. It also offers a stark contrast to The Last of Us, with its […]

Original Remothered Creator Announces Legal Action Following “Erasure” of His Name from Credits

14 March 2026 at 10:00

Chris Darril stands outdoors beside a poster for the game 'Remothered: Red Nun's Legacy', depicting a menacing figure behind the text.

Chris Darril, the original creator of the Remothered IP, finally broke the silence with a letter published yesterday on LinkedIn. Fans had asked him if he was involved in any capacity with the making of the freshly announced Remothered: Red Nun's Legacy; Darril had co-founded Stormind Games and was a Writer and Game Director until August 2021, but he has since moved on to create another independent studio, Little Sewing Machine, which released the narrative adventure game Bye Sweet Carole a few months ago. Darril confirmed that he was not involved with the development of Red Nun's Legacy in any […]

Stormind Games Reveals Remothered: Red Nun’s Legacy, Promises “The Conclusion Long-Time Fans Have Been Waiting Years to Play”

13 March 2026 at 15:14

A promotional image for the game 'Remothered: Red Nun's Legacy,' featuring a sinister, large figure with a red cape looming over a dark building, while a woman stands in a river of blood in the foreground.

Developer Stormind Games is returning to its Remothered series and has revealed Remothered: The Nun's Legacy at the Future Games Spring Showcase 2026. The third and seemingly final installment in the series is a game Stormind Games says it wanted to make "out of a strong sense of respect and responsibility toward Remothered and its community, who thought this project had been abandoned." The first Remothered title, Remothered: Tormented Feathers, was the debut game for the Italian indie developer when it launched back in 2018. The last Remothered game was six years ago now with Remothered: Broken Porcelain, with Stormind […]
