Capcom's RE Engine has built an enviable reputation over the past several years. From Resident Evil to Devil May Cry and Monster Hunter โ€” though the last franchise is certainly not without its fair share of technical issues โ€” the engine has repeatedly demonstrated that modern AAA games do not necessarily have to place absurd requirements on PC hardware to deliver a polished presentation. Onimusha: Way of the Sword continues that trend from a performance perspective, although we came away considerably less impressed by its visuals.
