Connectivity and Battery Life

The SOUNDPEATS C30 offers a smooth and reliable wireless experience thanks to Bluetooth 6.0 support. Pairing is quick and straightforward, taking only a few seconds during the initial setup. Once paired, the earbuds automatically reconnect to the last connected device whenever the charging case is opened, making daily use effortless.

SOUNDPEATS C30 Bluetooth Pairing

The earbuds also support dual-device connectivity, allowing you to stay connected to two devices at the same time. This is useful if you regularly switch between a smartphone and a laptop. During testing, the connection remained stable with no unexpected dropouts, and switching between devices worked as expected. Users should note that dual-device mode cannot be used together with LDAC, so a choice must be made between higher audio quality and multi-device convenience.

Touch controls are responsive and easy to use. Playback, volume adjustment, call handling, voice assistant access, and ANC mode switching can all be managed directly from the earbuds. The controls quickly become familiar and help reduce the need to reach for your phone throughout the day.

SOUNDPEATS C30 Touch Control

Battery life is another strong point of the SOUNDPEATS C30. The earbuds are rated for up to 10 hours of playback on a single charge, which is enough to comfortably handle a full workday of listening. Combined with the charging case, total battery life reaches up to 52 hours, allowing several days of regular use before needing to recharge the case.

Fast charging support adds extra convenience. A quick 10-minute charge can provide up to 3 hours of playback, making it easy to get back to listening when time is limited. The LED indicator system on the charging case also makes it easy to monitor battery levels at a glance, using simple color indicators to show the remaining charge of both the case and the earbuds.

SoundPEATS C30 Earbuds 28

Overall, the SOUNDPEATS C30 delivers dependable connectivity and impressive battery performance, making it well suited for commuting, work, travel, and everyday listening.

SOUNDPEATS App

The SOUNDPEATS app adds a lot of useful features to the C30 and is highly recommended after the initial setup. The app has a clean layout and is easy to navigate, even for first-time users. On the home screen, you can view the battery status of both earbuds and the charging case, switch between ANC, Transparency, and Normal modes, and access all major settings from one place.

One of the standout features is the ability to fully customize the touch controls. Users can remap single-tap, double-tap, triple-tap, and long-press gestures for each earbud. Functions such as volume control, playback, voice assistant activation, track skipping, Game Mode, and noise control can all be assigned according to personal preference. This level of customization is rarely seen at this price point.

The app also includes a built-in equalizer with multiple presets and a personalized Adaptive EQ test. During the test, the app checks your hearing response and creates a custom sound profile based on the results. This allows users to fine-tune the listening experience to better match their hearing preferences.

For gaming and media consumption, the SOUNDPEATS app offers dedicated Game Mode and Movie Mode options. Game Mode reduces audio latency for a more responsive gaming experience, while Movie Mode helps improve audio synchronization when watching videos. There is also an option to disable touch controls completely, which can be useful during workouts or when wearing a hat.

Additional tools further improve the user experience. The Fit Test feature checks whether the ear tips are creating a proper seal for the best sound quality and ANC performance. Find Earbuds helps locate misplaced earbuds by playing a sound through them. The app also includes a drainage function, which can help clear moisture from the drivers after exposure to sweat or light water.

Firmware management is handled directly through the application. Users can check for updates, install the latest firmware, and view device information, including the current software version and Bluetooth details. During testing, the update process was straightforward and worked without issues.

The Explore section adds extra functionality with relaxing ambient sounds, white noise tracks, and audio content designed for focus or relaxation. While not an essential feature, it is a nice addition that expands the overall value of the app.

Overall, the SOUNDPEATS app is well designed and genuinely useful. It goes beyond basic controls by offering touch customization, personalized audio tuning, firmware updates, fit testing, gaming features, and ANC management, making it an important part of the overall SOUNDPEATS C30 experience.

User Experience

I have been using the SOUNDPEATS C30 for around two weeks as my daily earbuds, including work, gaming, music streaming, video watching, and phone calls. Throughout the testing period, the earbuds delivered a reliable and hassle-free experience.

SoundPEATS C30 Earbuds 17

Comfort is one of the strongest aspects of the C30. The lightweight design and soft silicone ear tips create a secure fit without putting too much pressure on the ears. Even after several hours of continuous use, I did not experience noticeable discomfort or ear fatigue. The earbuds also stayed firmly in place while walking and during light workouts.

SoundPEATS C30 Earbuds 16

The hybrid ANC performs surprisingly well for earbuds in this price range. It effectively reduces background sounds such as fans, air conditioners, traffic noise, and office chatter. While it cannot completely eliminate every sound, it creates a much quieter environment for listening to music or watching videos. Transparency Mode is equally useful, allowing outside sounds to come through naturally when needed.

Call quality was consistently good during testing. The six-microphone setup does a solid job of isolating your voice and reducing background noise. During outdoor calls, voices remained clear even in moderately windy conditions.

Sound quality is balanced and enjoyable. The 12mm dynamic driver delivers punchy bass, clear vocals, and clean treble. The bass has enough depth for modern music without overwhelming the mids. Vocals remain detailed, while instruments are easy to distinguish. Enabling LDAC provides a noticeable improvement in detail and overall audio quality on supported Android devices.

SOUNDPEATS C30 Features 4 766x314 1

Bluetooth performance was excellent throughout the review period. Pairing is fast, connections remain stable, and the earbuds reconnect automatically when removed from the case. Multi-device support worked well when switching between a smartphone and laptop, making the C30 convenient for both work and entertainment.

The SOUNDPEATS app adds a lot of value to the overall experience. Features such as customizable touch controls, EQ settings, Adaptive EQ testing, ANC adjustments, Game Mode, Fit Test, and firmware updates are all easy to access. The app feels polished and significantly improves usability.

Battery life also met expectations. I was able to use the earbuds for multiple days without worrying about charging. Fast charging proved useful on several occasions, providing enough battery for hours of listening after only a short charging session.

After two weeks of use, the SOUNDPEATS C30 feels like a well-rounded pair of everyday earbuds. The combination of comfortable fit, effective ANC, good sound quality, stable connectivity, useful app features, and long battery life makes them easy to recommend for users looking for affordable wireless earbuds.

Final Verdict

Throughout testing, the earbuds delivered a comfortable fit, reliable connectivity, effective ANC, and surprisingly good sound quality for their price range. The 12mm dynamic drivers produce a balanced sound signature with strong bass, clear vocals, and plenty of detail, especially when using LDAC on compatible devices.

Battery life is one of the biggest strengths of the SOUNDPEATS C30. With up to 10 hours of playback from the earbuds and up to 52 hours combined with the charging case, it easily handles several days of regular use. Fast charging, Bluetooth 6.0, multi-device connectivity, and a feature-rich companion app further enhance the overall experience.

The SOUNDPEATS app adds significant value with customizable touch controls, Adaptive EQ, Fit Test, firmware updates, Game Mode, Movie Mode, and multiple ANC settings. Combined with the comfortable design and IP54 protection, the C30 is well suited for commuting, work, travel, workouts, and everyday listening.

Anker has officially introduced its new Soundcore Liberty 5 Pro and Soundcore Liberty 5 Pro Max wireless earbuds. The latest models bring improved voice quality, stronger active noise cancellation, AI-powered features, and smart charging cases with built-in touchscreens.

The new earbuds are powered by Anker’s Thus AI chip, which works together with eight microphones and two bone conduction sensors. According to the company, this setup helps reduce background noise during calls and makes voices sound clearer, even in busy environments.

Anker says the AI system can separate the user’s voice from surrounding sounds in real time. The company also claims the bone conduction sensors help capture speech more accurately when users speak quietly in calmer environments.

The Thus AI chip also enables voice commands on both models. Users can access up to 20 different voice controls, with Anker claiming responses arrive in less than one second.

Both earbuds feature Adaptive ANC 4.0 technology. Using eight microphones, the system continuously checks surrounding sounds and adjusts noise cancellation automatically. Anker says the technology processes audio information up to 384,000 times per second and offers up to twice the noise-cancelling performance of the previous Soundcore Liberty 4 Pro.

For audio quality, both models include HearID 5.0. This feature creates a personalised sound profile based on a hearing test. Anker has also added AI Sound Enhancement, which aims to restore audio quality that may be lost during Bluetooth transmission.

Battery life is rated at up to 6.5 hours with active noise cancellation turned on. With the charging case included, total listening time reaches up to 28 hours. Both models also support Bluetooth 6.1, multipoint connectivity, Apple Find My, Google Fast Pair, and IP55 dust and water resistance.

Anker Soundcore Liberty 5 Pro 6

The biggest difference between the two earbuds is the charging case. The Soundcore Liberty 5 Pro comes with a 0.96-inch TFT touchscreen on the front of the case. Meanwhile, the Soundcore Liberty 5 Pro Max features a larger 1.78-inch AMOLED touchscreen display.

The Liberty 5 Pro Max also includes an AI Note-Taker feature. Through the Soundcore app, it can create meeting transcripts, identify speakers, and highlight action points after conversations. This feature is exclusive to the Pro Max model.

AI translation is available on both versions. However, the Pro Max allows users to access translation through both the earbuds and the charging case, while the standard Liberty 5 Pro only supports translation through the earbuds.

The new earbuds are available now. The Soundcore Liberty 5 Pro is priced at $170 and comes in black, blue, pink, and white. The Soundcore Liberty 5 Pro Max costs $230 and is available in black and gold.

The company has also added its own SoundPulse technology to improve balance and detail.

New Razer Hammerhead V3 HyperSpeed includes integrated dongle charging case

13 April 2026 at 13:00

Razer has announced the Hammerhead V3 HyperSpeed gaming earbuds, featuring dual-mode connectivity via 2.4GHz HyperSpeed Wireless and Bluetooth 6.0. The new model introduces a redesigned charging case that houses the wireless dongle and supports simultaneous playing and charging when connected via USB-C.

The Hammerhead V3 Hyper Speed earbuds use Razer HyperSpeed Wireless for low-latency audio on compatible PCs and handheld devices. A SmartSwitch feature allows users to toggle between the 2.4GHz connection and Bluetooth 6.0, which Razer claims offers improved power efficiency and stability in wireless environments. The included HyperSpeed case acts as both a charger and a wireless receiver when the USB-C dongle is seated inside.

Razer has equipped the Hammerhead V3 HyperSpeed with Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation, which the company states provides a 50% improvement in noise reduction over the previous generation. For PC users, the earbuds support THX Spatial Audio via Razer Synapse 4, which provides a virtual 7.1 soundstage for enhanced positional awareness.

Total battery life is rated at up to 40 hours, with 10 hours provided by the earbuds and an additional 30 hours from the charging case. The hardware includes touch controls for playback and calls, while an LED status indicator on the case displays charging and connection states. Further customisation of the audio profile and controls can be done through the Razer Audio App and Razer Synapse 4.

Asus debuts ROG Cetra Open Wireless earbuds

23 March 2026 at 08:30

We've seen plenty of wireless earbuds marketed towards the gaming crowd over the years but open-ear designed earbuds have not really been a thing in the gaming market. That is changing this year with the launch of the Asus ROG Cetra Open Wireless earbuds.Β

The hardware design is particularly clever, with the included USB-C 2.4GHz dongle featuring a one-way passthrough charging port, making it a lifesaver for users of the ROG Ally, Steam Deck, or smartphones who usually have to choose between low-latency audio and keeping their device sufficiently charged. The earbuds use 14.2mm diamond-like carbon (DLC)-coated drivers, which should help stop bass frequencies from β€˜leaking', which is common in open-ear earbuds.

Asus has opted for physical tactile buttons rather than touch sensors, which often fail during a rainy run or a particularly intense gaming session. With an IPX5 rating, these buds are clearly built to survive the transition from a PC desk to a morning jog. While the 16-hour battery life (in Bluetooth mode) isn't record-breaking, the 15-minute quick charge for 3 hours of playback provides a solid safety net for most daily commutes.

Despite its open design, the Cetra uses a specially designed ANC named Immersion Mode. For audio, instead of completely shutting out the outside world, Immersion Mode is designed to filter out basic, constant, low-to-mid-frequency ambient noise due to the open-ear design. As for calls, it has 4 integrated microphones with AI noise cancellation to ensure your voice is unique and clear.

KitGuru says: Open wireless earbuds aren't that common in the gaming space, but if you're considering one for their versatility, the Cetra might be worth looking into.

Active Noise Cancellation has been enhanced to better reduce everyday sounds such as traffic, engines, and background chatter. The system adjusts automatically based on how the earbuds fit in the ear, helping maintain balanced sound and reduce noise leakage. Call quality has also been improved with wideband voice support, allowing clearer conversations even in noisy environments.

The Galaxy Buds4 series is built to work closely with Galaxy smartphones and tablets. Users can control the earbuds using voice commands and hands-free options. AI assistants like Bixby and Google Gemini can be accessed without touching the phone, making daily use more convenient.

SoundPEATS Clip1 open-ear clip-on earphones review – light, powerful sound, smart features

By: Bahleem
19 February 2026 at 16:27

Open-ear earbuds are becoming more popular. Many people want comfort but also want to stay aware of their surroundings. Traditional in-ear earbuds block outside sound. Bone conduction models feel very different. Now, open-ear designs offer a middle option. They sit outside the ear canal and let you hear traffic, people, and daily sounds. This makes them a safer choice for runners, cyclists, and commuters.

SoundPEATS is a well-known audio brand. It started in 2010 and makes wireless Bluetooth headphones. The brand is famous in many countries, especially in Japan and the United States. SOUNDPEATS has sold millions of audio products worldwide. It focuses on real sound quality, smart technology, and comfortable design.

Now, SoundPEATS has introduced the new Clip1. It follows a clip-style open-ear design. The focus is simple: comfort, clear sound, and easy daily use. Each earbud is light and easy to wear for long hours. At the same time, it promises good audio with modern features like high-resolution sound, fast charging, and smart controls.

In this article, we take a closer look at what the SOUNDPEATS Clip1 offers and whether it is a good choice for everyday use.

Unboxing

The unboxing of the SoundPEATS Clip1 feels simple but premium. The box comes in a clean white colour. On the front, there is a shiny gold outline showing the clip-style design of the earbuds. It looks neat and modern. You also see important badges printed clearly, such as Hi-Res Audio Wireless, LDAC, and Dolby Audio. There are also VGP 2025 award seals, which give the box a more high-end feel.

On the back of the box, you get the main technical details. It mentions Bluetooth 5.4 support and up to 40 hours of total battery life. The sides of the box show the brand slogan, β€œHear The Difference,” along with icons that highlight the 12mm dual magnetic drivers. Everything is printed clearly and looks well organised.

On top, a gold SoundPEATS shield logo adds a subtle touch of elegance. The front has a slim LED strip that glows green to show battery and pairing status. At the back, a USB-C port sits beside a circular pairing button, keeping the design simple and functional. Opening the case reveals a high-gloss black interior with precision-molded cradles. The earbuds themselves use a clever clip-on, open-ear design. A flexible matte-black bridge, or C-bridge, connects the audio housing to the control unit. This wraps comfortably around the ear’s cartilage, giving a secure fit without blocking the ear canal. The inner speaker housing has a circular grille with a five-hole pattern to guide sound into the ear while letting you stay aware of your surroundings. On the outside, a glossy touch-control panel bears a gold β€œS” logo, mixing matte and polished finishes for a modern, tech-forward look.

Comfort is a key feature. Each earbud weighs just 5g, while the total 56g with the case keeps them portable. The memory wire holds the earbuds in place during walking, commuting, or workouts. Rounded shells and ventilation openings make them breathable and secure for long wear.

The Clip1 touch controls handle playback, calls, and sound modes. You can switch tracks, enable game mode, toggle Dolby spatial sound, or activate wear detection. Commands only work while the earbuds are worn, preventing accidental touches.

Battery life is strong, offering around eight hours per charge, with the case adding another forty. A ten-minute top-up gives about two hours of playback.
