Thermal Grizzly Launches Improved Duronaut Pro and Hydronaut Pro Thermal Pastes

Thermal Grizzly has announced the availability of its new Duronaut Pro and Hydronaut Pro thermal pastes. The new Pro models build on their existing versions by offering improved thermal performance while keeping the key strengths that made the original products popular among PC enthusiasts and professionals.

Although the temperature gains may appear small in laboratory testing, Thermal Grizzly says these improvements are important because modern thermal paste technology already operates close to its performance limits. Even minor reductions in temperature can help improve cooling efficiency in demanding systems.

The company measures thermal performance using temperature difference between a heat source and a cooler under controlled conditions. According to Thermal Grizzly, this method provides a more realistic comparison than simply listing thermal conductivity values in W/(m Γ— K).

Thermal Grizzly says the optimized particle size and shape help reduce the pump-out effect, where thermal paste gradually moves away from the contact area over time. This allows the paste to maintain better contact between a processor and its cooler.

The paste can also be applied in a very thin layer, helping reduce thermal resistance and improve heat transfer efficiency.

Hydronaut Pro Targets Industrial Applications

Thermal Grizzly has announced two new high-performance thermal interfaces, the Duronaut Pro and Hydronaut Pro, offering enhanced thermal conductivity over their standard predecessors.

The manufacturer developed Duronaut Pro with a focus on long-term stability and reduced pump-out effects. This compound combines a specialised silicone oil with aluminium micropowder and zinc oxide nanopowder to minimise contact resistance, allowing users to apply it in a very thin layer. According to the product documentation, this specific mixture remains electrically non-conductive and won't cure over time.

Hydronaut Pro targets industrial systems by utilising a completely silicone-free carrier structure. Standard silicone-based pastes can suffer from oil bleeding or mechanical displacement during repeated temperature fluctuations, which can degrade performance or damage adjacent sealing materials such as EPDM or NBR. Thermal Grizzly states that this RoHS-compliant formulation avoids these structural risks while maintaining high conductivity without curing.

Laboratory testing conducted by the company measures performance using a 30x30mm contact surface under a 240W heat flow with 300N of force. Based on the test results, you can expect around a 4% improvement moving from Duronaut/Hydronaut to Duronaut/Hydronaut Pro. Both thermal paste solutions are now available, with the Duronaut Pro starting at €17.90 (2g) and the Hydronaut Pro starting at €14.90 (2g).

Thermal Grizzly launches DeltaMate MPII AM5 and Intel 1851 water blocks

Thermal Grizzly has announced the DeltaMate MPII premium CPU water block series, launching the AM5 Black model immediately, with an Intel 1851 variant arriving shortly.

These blocks feature a nickel-plated copper cold plate alongside a solid nickel-plated brass housing equipped with G1/4β€³ ports. The design includes a borosilicate glass viewing window with sanded edges and an anodised aluminium cover that conceals the mounting system. Integrated RGB LED lighting can be controlled via a 3-pin ARGB header (+5V/DATA/GND) through the motherboard.

Thermal Grizzly designed the DeltaMate CPU Block – MPII AM5 Black for AMD's AM5 socket while maintaining backward compatibility with AM4. Its hybrid cooling plate features 25 microfins with a 0.2mm slot and fin width, which, when mounted, are positioned over the CCDs. An additional 29 fins, each 0.4mm wide, are positioned above the I/O die.

The DeltaMate CPU Block – MPII Intel 1851 Black targets Intel's LGA1851 socket and remains backward compatible with LGA1700. This variant has 40 microfins measuring 0.2mm across the CPU tiles to maximise the heat-dissipation surface area. A total of 30 fins, each 0.3mm wide, sit above and below the tile area.

The DeltaMate CPU Block – MPII AM5 Black is now available for $409.38/€349.90 (VAT included). Pricing for the DeltaMate CPU Block – MPII Intel 1851 Black is still unknown.

Thermal Grizzly isn't launching much β€˜new' stuff at Computex this year but we did get a look at a few new things – for starters, TG has new DeltaMate cooling fans on the way. It has also come up with new coatings for its DeltaMate GPU blocks, including the new TG O coating, which uses plasma to blast a rainbow finish across the copper core of the block.

TG's new DeltaMate Purrformante fans are optimised for low-speeds and high static pressure, making them a perfect pairing for liquid-cooling radiators. Like other popular fans on the market, these ones can be daisy-chained, simplifying multi-fan setups to just a single power cable.

The WireView is a product we have covered extensively, available in wired and wireless form, and used to help monitor the power draw from the PSU and detect any potential issues with overloading, which has been an issue with newer RTX 40 and RTX 50 series GPUs. There is even a version cooled by a little brown Noctua fan.

At Computex we also got a look at the Mycro Direct-Die Diamond, a diamond insert integrated into the cold plate of a CPU block, positioned directly at the thermal hotspot for improved heat transfer. However, due to the expense of the materials used here, we are unlikely to see this make it to full consumer production.

Speaking of Direct Die though, Thermal Grizzly does have a pretty good line-up of de-lidded CPUs, complete with warranty, available for sale, giving you an easy path towards direct-die cooling – an upgrade worth considering for overclocking enthusiasts.

Thermal Grizzly's liquid-cooling line-up also features a range of fittings, including Quick Disconnect fittings for easier maintenance of your loop and blocks.

The final piece of news coming out of Thermal Grizzly at Computex is that the company will be the next major sponsor for 3D Mark, so expect to see the Thermal Grizzly logo within the next version of the popular graphics benchmarking software.

Thermal Grizzly launches new β€˜Wired’ version of WireView Pro II

Thermal Grizzly launched its WireView Pro II tool in late 2025. Now the company is back with a new Wired edition, developed for maximum compatibility with current hardware.

Unlike other tools that measure total current, the WireView Pro II tracks values for each individual pin and wire in the 12V-2Γ—6 connector. This allows immediate identification of uneven load distribution or faulty contacts. In addition to current, the device continuously monitors voltage, temperature, and overall power consumption. If preset thresholds are exceeded, users are alerted with on‑screen warnings and alarms.

The β€œWired” version of the WireView Pro II is not plugged directly into the graphics card, but can instead be freely positioned inside the case thanks to a 40cm power cable with a 12V-2Γ—6 connector. Below is the full feature set:

Thermal Grizzly adds Intel Core Ultra 7 270K to delidded CPU line-up

Back in early 2025, Thermal Grizzly officially began selling delidded processors, backed by a warranty to give PC builders peace of mind. This week, the company is adding a new CPU to its delidded line-up – the Intel Core Ultra 7 270K.

A delidded CPU ships with the IHS removed, offering beginners and veterans alike an easy gateway to improved cooling by using a direct-die solution. The process of removing the IHS yourself can be risky and void warranty, so buying one already delidded and having it backed by a warranty is a safer option.

The Core Ultra 7 270K is part of Intel's Arrow Lake desktop line-up, offering 20 CPU cores, a 5.3GHz boost clock speed and an on-board NPU for AI acceleration. Considering the effectiveness of liquid cooling on a delidded CPU, you may be able to push for even more performance with a custom overclock.

TheΒ TG Delidded Intel Core Ultra 7 270K is available now, priced at €449. The company also offers delidded versions of the Ryzen 9950X3D, the Ryzen 9850X3D and the Intel Core Ultra 9 285K.

Thermal Grizzly releases new RGB CPU water blocks

Thermal Grizzly has launched two new RGB CPU water blocks, designed to deliver strong cooling and a clean look for modern PC builds. The new models include the AM5 Mycro Pro RGB and the Intel 1851 Mycro Pro RGB, and both are now available for users who want better cooling performance.

These water blocks come with a nickel-plated copper base plate, which helps transfer heat quickly away from the CPU. The top part is made of tempered acrylic glass, giving a clear view of the internal flow and RGB lighting. There is also an anodised aluminium cover that adds strength and a premium feel.

One useful feature is the built-in fine mesh filter at the inlet. This filter catches small particles inside the cooling loop, such as dust or tiny leftover bits from radiators. These particles can block the tiny fins inside the block, which can reduce cooling performance. With this filter, users can keep the flow clean and maintain stable temperatures for a longer time.

The cold plate uses very small microfins, each just 0.2 mm wide. There are up to 70 fins, depending on the model. This design increases the surface area, helping the liquid absorb heat more quickly. The internal structure is also made to improve water flow, which further boosts cooling performance.

In terms of compatibility, the AM5 version also works with older AM4 motherboards. The Intel version supports the latest Socket LGA1851 and is also compatible with LGA1700. However, there are some limits. The AM5 model does not support the high-performance heatspreader, while the Intel model works with the LGA1700 version.

Looking ahead, the company also shared plans for new DeltaMate CPU water blocks coming this summer. These models will use real glass and a brass base, offering even better performance and a more premium design.

Thermal Grizzly has expanded its cooling lineup with two new CPU water blocks, the AM5 Mycro Pro RGB and the Intel 1851 Mycro Pro RGB, both built around the company’s ultra‑fine 0.2mm microfin cold‑plate design. The blocks follow the layout of the existing Mycro Direct‑Die series but adapt it for standard CPU installations, pairing a nickel‑plated copper base with an acrylic top, anodised aluminium cover and integrated RGB lighting.

Both models feature a fine‑mesh filter positioned directly at the inlet port. Thermal Grizzly says this captures particles circulating in a loop before they can clog the microfins. Keeping debris away from the cold plate helps maintain coolant flow and prevents the gradual thermal degradation that can raise CPU temperatures over time. The filter can be removed and cleaned when needed.

The cold plate itself uses 68 microfins on the AM5 version and 70 on the Intel 1851 model, maximising surface area for heat transfer. An acrylic jet plate directs coolant across the fin array to improve flow and cooling efficiency, while standard G1/4‑inch ports ensure compatibility with common fittings.

Both blocks are available now through Thermal Grizzly’s online store. Pricing is set at €139.90 for the AM5 Mycro Pro RGB and €144.90 for the Intel 1851 version.

Thermal Grizzly now sells delidded Ryzen 9850X3D backed by warranty

The Ryzen 7 9850X3D is AMD's new flagship gaming processor. It launched at CES in January, offering up 104MB of speedy cache, alongside a boost clock speed of 5.6GHz. With the proper cooling, a delidded 9850X3D should be capable of hitting that boost clock speed and sustaining it more often. If you know what you're doing, you may be able to get a bit more performance out of it through manual overclocking too.

Each delidded CPU from Thermal Grizzly is validated by their team before being shipped out to customers, so you shouldn't have to worry about receiving a dud. The CPU ships with its own warranty guaranteed by Thermal Grizzly, as well as the validation test results so you can see what they tested first-hand.
