Fatekeeper PC Performance Analysis & Tuning Guide – How To Get The Best Experience On PC

16 June 2026 at 23:31

A knight clad in armor stands on a fiery terrain beneath the text 'Fatekeeper: PC Performance Analysis & Tuning Guide'.

With Unreal Engine 5 games becoming increasingly common on PC, it is always interesting to see which developers can actually tame Epic Games’ state-of-the-art engine rather than simply brute-forcing their way to good visuals at a massive performance cost. Fatekeeper is a very interesting case in that regard. THQ Nordic and Paraglacial’s dark fantasy first-person RPG is still in a very early access state, so it would be unfair to judge it as if it were a finished product. However, from a technical standpoint, Fatekeeper already manages to stand out as one of the most impressive Unreal Engine 5 releases […]

Gothic 1 Remake surpasses 500K copies sold in first week

15 June 2026 at 15:00

THQ Nordic and Alkimia Interactive have announced that Gothic 1 Remake sold over 500,000 copies during its first week across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The reimagined 2001 cult RPG also saw significant player engagement on Steam, peaking at nearly 78,000 concurrent players on June 7th.

Player feedback remains favorable, with the title gathering more than 21,000 Steam reviews and maintaining an 86% β€œVery Positive” rating. Game critics weren't as nice, with the game sitting at 72% (34 reviews) on OpenCritic, with only 55% recommending it.

Alkimia Interactive attributed this initial traction to a mix of newcomers and long-time fans of the 25-year-old franchise. Consequently, the studio plans to deliver ongoing support through further updates and refinements over the coming months.

This modern iteration features over 50 hours of gameplay content. It reconstructs the Kingdom of Myrtana and the Khorinis mines, where players control the Nameless Hero and navigate among three joinable factions. According to the publishers, the release includes a living world with scheduled daily NPC routines, as well as a modernised tactical combat system that preserves the original title's identity.

KitGuru says: Did you pick up the Gothic 1 Remake during its first week, or are you waiting for future patches?

The recently released Gothic 1 Remake from developer Alkimia Interactive and publisher THQ Nordic has officially reached 500,000 copies sold in just its first week on digital store shelves, the studio announced. 7 June 2026 at 14:00

A samurai stands on a cliff overlooking the sea during sunset with a large ship and traditional buildings in the background, under the title 'Expeditions: Samurai'.

Yesterday, publisher THQ Nordic announced Expeditions: Samurai, the next game in the Expeditions RPG series. It is being developed byΒ Campfire Cabal, a Copenhagen-based studio founded in 2022 and made up largely of former Logic Artists developers after the studio was closed down. In a media presentation attended by Wccftech, the team said it sees itself as the creator of the Expeditions IP, which has soldΒ just over 1.3 million copiesΒ across the series. They presented the game after surviving a difficult studio period in 2023, when the team was nearly shut down and later rebuilt with support from THQ Nordic. For those […]

We got a new trailer with a lot of new gameplay snippets we hadn't seen in previous trailers, and the news that a demo is now available for Xbox Series X/S players after it was already available on Steam. We also learned that when The Eternal Life of Goldman does arrive, it'll be available on Xbox Game Pass on day-one. But, one key thing we did not learn from today's trailer, is when it'll be arriving, as it still, unfortunately, […]
