Elon Musk Tells TSMC's CEO That Terafab Wouldn't Exist if the Foundry Could Keep Up With His Chip Demand 1

Elon Musk confirms that SpaceX & Tesla will always remain a major customer of TSMC, but the Taiwanese chipmaker alone couldn't fulfill its demand, which is why they started the Terafab project with Intel. Terafab Is Essential To Elon's Ambitious "In-House" Chipmaking Goals, But Says That SpaceX & Tesla Will Remain A Customer of TSMC A few days ago, Lip-Bu Tan (CEO of Intel) and Elon Musk announced their partnership on the ground-breaking Terafab project, which will be responsible for producing custom and in-house chips for Tesla, SpaceX, xAI, and other ventures. The project is expected to begin its first […]

NVIDIA DLSS 5 β€” Everything We Know So Far About NVIDIA’s Latest Neural Rendering Technology 1

DLSS 5 marks the next major evolution of NVIDIA’s neural rendering journey, pushing beyond temporal upscaling, frame generation, and machine learning-based ray tracing denoising into fully AI-enhanced image synthesis for real-time graphics. Officially unveiled at GTC 2026 and set to launch later this year, the technology promises a generational leap in visual fidelity by infusing frames with photoreal lighting and materials using advanced artificial neural networks. But what exactly is DLSS 5? How does it differ from previous DLSS iterations, and what does it mean for the future of PC gaming? Here’s everything you need to know. What DLSS 5 […]

Eidos Montreal reportedly cancelled an open-world game 7 years in development

3 April 2026 at 10:00

Earlier this week we learned that the studio behind Deus Ex Human Revolution and Mankind Divided, Eidos Montreal, was undergoing a third round of job cuts, including the departure of the Studio's head. As it turns out, this most recent round of layoffs may have been spurred by a major game cancellation.Β

According to Insider Gaming, Eidos Montreal had spent years developing a new game known internally as β€œWildlands”. This major open-world project began development in 2019 and was nearing the final stages of development when it was cancelled earlier this year.

From what we know, Wildlands was going to be a new IP and not linked to any other franchise Eidos is known for. In fact, it sounds like it would have had a lot in common with something like Biomutant. The resources allocated to this game may have been a contributing factor in a couple of other game cancellations though, including a new Deus Ex title and a Legacy of Kain reboot.

It is unclear what Eidos will work on next. The studio has not shipped a game since Guardians of the Galaxy in 2021, which did garner positive reviews, but didn't become a sales hit. In the meantime, the studio is reportedly doing contract work for projects like Fable and Grounded 2.

KitGuru Says: The current gaming market has a distinct lack of immersive sims and stealth-action games. A new Deus Ex would fill that gap in the market nicely.Β

Deus Ex studio hit with more layoffs

31 March 2026 at 14:00

Fans of the Deus Ex franchise must unfortunately brace for more bad news. Eidos Montreal has been hit with another wave of layoffs, reducing headcount for a third year in a row, indicating that a new major game is not close to coming out.

In a statement shared this week, Eidos Montreal confirmed that it is letting go of another 124 employees, marking the third year in a row that the studio has made cuts. This most recent round of layoffs also coincides with studio head, David Anfossi, stepping down from his position at the company.

Eidos MontrΓ©al formed in the late 2000s before joining Square Enix. While under the Japanese publisher, the studio led the revival of the Deus Ex franchise, resulting in 2011's Mankind Divided and 2016's Human Revolution. Square Enix ultimately sold off Eidos Montreal and the Deus Ex IP to Embracer Group in 2022.

Eidos Montreal has not shipped a game since 2021's Guardians of the Galaxy, which did score well in reviews but ultimately did not hit its sales targets. It has been rumoured for years that Eidos has been trying to get a new Deus Ex game greenlit but due to the financial situation at Embracer Group in recent years, it has been unable to secure the funding. In recent years, Eidos has found work as a support studio for other major AAA projects at non-Embracer studios.

KitGuru Says: It is a real shame to see what is happening to Eidos Montreal. In an ideal world, they would have instantly jumped into work on a new Deus Ex game after joining Embracer. At the rate things are going though, we may not see a new Deus Ex game again.

Thermaltake expands EX series with dual infinity mirror fans

27 March 2026 at 16:30

Thermaltake is once again iterating on its magnetic fan ecosystem, this time leaning heavily into the β€œinfinity mirror” trend. The newly launched Swafan EX Infinity ARGB and CT EX Infinity ARGB series bring a fresh aesthetic to the company's MagForce 2.0 lineup, utilising layered reflections on both the hub and the frame to create a sense of depth.

The Swafan EX Infinity is the higher-end model of the two, inheriting the signature swappable-fan-blade design from previous generations. This allows builders to switch between standard and reverse blades easily, ensuring that the infinity mirror effects on the hub and frame are always visible, regardless of whether the fan is set to intake or exhaust. It features a 28mm-thick frame for improved pressure and uses the MagForce 2.0 connection system with pogo pins twice as large as the original version to reduce the risk of poor connection when daisy-chaining multiple units. As for performance metrics, the fan can spin up to 2000 RPM to deliver up to 58.13 CFM airflow at a 2.86mmHβ‚‚O static pressure while keeping a 30 dBA noise level.

For those looking for a slightly more streamlined option, the CT EX Infinity brings these premium features to the CT series. While it lacks the swappable blades of the Swafan, it offers slightly better raw performance on paper, reaching the same 2000 RPM and delivering 68.20 CFM of airflow and 3.05mmHβ‚‚O of static pressure at 28 dBA. Like the Swafan variant, it uses a 28mm frame and the MagForce 2.0 system to minimise cable clutter, requiring only a single cable to power and control a bank of three fans.

Both fans are available in black or white, featuring a β€œhidden screw” design that uses rubber caps to conceal the mounting hardware for a cleaner look.
