New Philips Evnia 32M2N6901A features 4K QD-OLED panel and DisplayPort 2.1

Philips has listed its new Evnia 32M2N6901A gaming monitor, featuring a 31.5-inch 4K QD-OLED panel and a 165Hz refresh rate. While the company has not announced an official launch date or price, retail listings point toward a late August 2026 release.

According to Prad, the Evnia 32M2N6901A sports a 3840Γ—2160 resolution and carries VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 alongside ClearMR 9000 certifications. Its datasheet details a 10-bit color depth, a 0.03ms gray-to-gray response time, a 1,500,000:1 contrast ratio, and a Delta-E color accuracy value of less than two. Colour gamut coverage hits 100% sRGB, 99% DCI-P3, and 97.5% Adobe RGB. For brightness, Philips advertises 250nits under standard SDR workloads, climbing to a peak of 1000nits in HDR mode at a 3% Average Picture Level (APL).

Gaming features include AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, an on-screen smart crosshair overlay, and three-sided Ambiglow AI-powered lighting effects. Built-in audio is handled by two 5W internal speakers with DTS Virtual :X virtual surround sound. For multi-device users, the integrated KVM switch works alongside picture-in-picture and picture-by-picture viewing modes to manage multiple sources.

Connectivity options include two HDMI 2.1 inputs, a DisplayPort 2.1 input, a USB 3.0 hub, a headphone output, and a USB-C port that delivers up to 65W of power. The included stand supports height adjustment up to 130mm, tilt, and swivel, though it lacks a pivot option. Some retailers have already listed the monitor at around €750, with availability expected in August.

Philips introduces the Evnia 27M2D5901A dual-mode 5K monitor

Philips has announced the Evnia 27M2D5901A, a 27-inch 5K dual-mode gaming monitor. Revealed at a press event in Croatia, the display shares many of the specs of the 27M2G5800 revealed a few weeks ago, but with a new Ambiscape lighting technology.

According to TFTCentral, the monitor features a Fast IPS panel capable of 5120Γ—2880 at 165Hz and a secondary 1440p mode that increases the refresh rate to 330Hz. The Evnia 27M2D5901A delivers a pixel density of 218PPI and a 1ms GtG response time. The chassis is finished in white and includes a fully adjustable stand with height, tilt, swivel, and pivot capabilities.

Philips confirms that the panel supports 10-bit colour depth and covers 95% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut. For variable refresh rate support, the display is certified as Nvidia G-Sync compatible and uses adaptive-sync technology to ensure tear-free visuals. Connectivity options include two HDMI 2.1 ports, one DisplayPort 2.1 with UHBR20 speeds, and a USB-C port with 65W power delivery. The monitor also integrates two USB-A ports, a KVM switch, and dual 5W speakers.

A notable feature is the introduction of AmbiScape, an evolution of Philips' AmbiGlow technology. The monitor acts as a hub to synchronise its integrated rear lighting with external Matter-certified smart lights. Software customisation is handled through the Evnia Precision Center, which allows users to adjust display and lighting settings.

While an official product page has not yet been published, Philips confirmed at the event that the Evnia 27M2D5901A is expected to be available in Europe in July 2026. The retail price is set at €799.

The new Phantom Gaming displays, including the PG27FFS2E, the white-themed PG27FFS2E-W, and the PG27FFS1A, are designed for competitive gaming with a 240Hz refresh rate, Full HD resolution, and a 1ms response time. Testing and Performance

Geekbench 6 Multi Core

In Geekbench 6 Multi Core we see the HP Zbook in an effective tie with the Asus Zenbook Duo and Intel Panther Lake. This indicates that Core Ultra X9 388H has something extra that makes up for the lack of pure CPU grunt.

Cinebench 2026 Multi Core

This is the result we expected in Cinebench 2026 Multi Core with the AMD Strix Halo powering the HP Zbook to a clear victory by a massive margin.

AIDA64 Memory Bandwidth

The HP ZbookΒ  is loaded with a massive 128GB of LPDDR5x-8533 and the Strix Halo has a quad channnel memory controller which combine in AIDA64 Memory Bandwidth to deliver a decisive victory.

Far Cry 6 at 1,280Γ—800 on Ultra Preset

We show a number of gaming tests in our video. This particular test shows a low resolution with the clever image enhancements disabled, and the result is the HP Zbook runs at over 100fps on average which is impressive.

Cyberpunk 2077 at 2,880Γ—1,800 with Frame Generation Enabled

Cyberpunk 2077 is a stiff test for any laptop and 2,880Γ—1,800 is a huge resolution so it comes as quite a surprise to see the HP Zbook using Frame Generation to play at nearly 100fps.

Battery Life

The HP Zbook does well in our battery test and shows that you can work all day on a single battery charge. Having said that, you will want to take the charger with you to guarantee you get maximum performance.

Closing Thoughts

If KitGuru were to invent an award for Most Stealthy and Under Stated Product Ever, the HP Zbook Ultra G1a would make the list and would likely win the award. It looks like a dull, grey 14-inch laptop that is thin and light yet it packs the most amazing punch and delivers epic performance from the AMD Strix Halo APU without any need for add-in graphics.

You may have noticed in our video that we barely discuss operating temperatures and don't mention noise levels at all, and that is for good reason. The innards typically run at 60 degrees C on battery and 70 degrees C on charger, and the cooling system wasn't the least bit intrusive. It is a remarkable laptop that is mainly held back by its hefty Β£3k+ price tag and slightly affected by the annoying amount of HP software.
