Amazon is expanding its plans for providing satellite connectivity to mobile phones.

Amazon is expanding its strategy for Luna by releasing games that tie directly into its Prime Video exclusives. The first example arrives next week with Batman: Caped Crusader – Chronicles, a new cooperative party game launching on July 31st to coincide with the second season of the animated series.

The title is designed to sit alongside the show within the Prime Video app, following Amazon’s recent rollout that allows Luna games to be accessed through the Prime Video app on certain Fire TV and Fire Stick devices. That means Batman fans will be able to watch the new season and immediately jump into the game in the same interface, using a smartphone as the controller with no downloads or extra hardware required.

Batman: Caped Crusader – Chronicles is a cooperative game for up to four players, letting fans work alongside Detective Montoya as part of Batman’s inner circle. Across 11 episodes, players will decode evidence, chase leads and confront a lineup of iconic villains including Scarecrow, Babyface, Tweedledee and Tweedledum, Dollmaker, Lynx, Music Meister and The Joker. Several cast members from the animated series reprise their roles, including Hamish Linklater as Batman and Michelle C. Bonilla as Montoya, with Matthew Needam voicing The Joker for both Season Two and the game.

Batman: Caped Crusader – Chronicles joins Amazon’s growing GameNight catalogue on Luna, offering lightweight, accessible games designed for group play.

Amazon is expanding the reach of its Luna cloud gaming service. Starting this week, Luna will be integrated directly into the Prime Video app on Fire TV devices in the US and UK, giving Prime members a new way to discover and play games without needing separate hardware or downloads.

According to Amazon, the goal is to reduce friction for players who may not own a console or gaming PC. Prime Video will now include a Games tab, allowing users to launch Luna titles instantly using either a controller or a smartphone. Luna is included with Prime at no additional cost, and Amazon says the integration is designed to make games as easy to find as films and TV shows already available on the platform.

Prime members will gain access to a rotating library of Luna titles, including games like Hogwarts Legacy, EA Sports FC 26, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, and party games such as Clue, Ticket to Ride, and Taboo. Amazon also highlighted new tie‑ins that allow users to watch a film or series and then jump into a related Luna game on the same screen, such as Masters of the Universe: Legends Unite or Courtroom Chaos: Starring Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Amazon says this is just the first step in a broader expansion for Luna. More devices, supported regions, and additional games will be announced in the months ahead as the company continues to build out its entertainment ecosystem.

Last week, we reported on the unfortunate news that production on Amazon’s live-action God of War show was being halted following an on-set injury by Kratos actor Ryan Hurst. While it was claimed at the time that this injury would require surgery, things seem to be a bit more serious than it initially appeared, with the role of Kratos now being entirely recast.

Initially reported by TMZ last week, the publication revealed that Kratos actor Ryan Hurst “tore his bicep while filming a stunt … and the injury requires surgery,” claiming at the time that production was being halted while he recovered.

Unfortunately, the situation has since evolved, with the publication Deadline now confirming that the role of Kratos is being recast. According to the report, Hurst’s injuries would require a minimum of 4-6 months of rest, with up to a year of waiting for a full recovery.

Given this, Sony / Amazon reportedly decided that “while Hurst’s full recovery is a priority, the period required for it was longer than the production shooting schedule could accommodate, leading to the difficult decision to recast the role.”

While the first image released of Hurst as Kratos left plenty to be desired in the eyes of many, the actor had been putting in the work for this role, reportedly gaining 40 pounds of muscle across multiple months of training.

Additionally, Hurst was already familiar with the source material, having voiced Thor in 2021’s God of War Ragnarok.
While we have yet to learn who will be replacing Hurst for the role of Kratos, production is said to be picking back up as soon as this October, and so we will likely hear more in the coming months.

Since as far back as 2022, we had been hearing rumours that Sony was in talks with Amazon to produce a live-action adaptation of PlayStation’s flagship God of War series. After a number of delays, filming for the project finally began earlier this year. Unfortunately, unlike Kratos himself, actor Ryan Hurst is not actually a god of war – and so production has now had to be halted following an on-set injury.

As reported by the publication TMZ, filming for the live-action God of War series has been paused temporarily due to the show’s star ‘Ryan Hurst’ receiving an injury on set.

As of now, details remain light, but according to TMZ, Hurst “tore his bicep while filming a stunt … and the injury requires surgery.”

While the nature of the scene being filmed was not shared, the God of War games have Kratos doing all sorts of intense action scenes on a moment-to-moment basis. Even during something basic like general combat, swinging the Leviathan axe as Kratos could lead to potential injuries.

Either way, here’s to hoping that the surgery isn’t too serious and that Hurst is back to feeling 100% sooner rather than later.

Walmart-backed Flipkart has crossed 1,000 micro-fulfillment centers as Amazon accelerates its own quick-commerce push in India.

ASUS also has a bunch of PC hardware deals live for Amazon Prime Day this week, including deals on graphics cards, new monitors, cases, motherboards and more. 

For routers, ASUS has discounted the RT‑BE58U, bringing the price down to £87.99. The ZenWiFi BD4 mesh system is also included, with the single‑pack available for £74.99. Those looking for something more robust can opt for the TUF Gaming BE6500, now priced at £134.99.

On the GPU side, ASUS’s Prime Radeon RX 9070 XT White Edition is reduced to £655, while the Dual GeForce RTX 3050 O6G drops to £180.

ASUS also has several monitors discounted for Prime Day. The ProArt PA247CV is now £159, while the ROG Swift PG32UCDP drops to £699. For high‑refresh gaming, the VG259QM5A is priced at £119, and the TUF Gaming VG27AQML5A is available for £229.

If you need a new mouse, keyboard or headset, ASUS has a number of peripheral deals too. The ROG Pelta gaming mouse is now £99.99, while the ROG Delta II headset can be found for the same price.
