Silent Hill: Townfall โ€“ Everything We Know About Screen Burnโ€™s First-Person Psychological Horror Set in Scotland

30 July 2026 at 19:00

Simon Orderll is looking at a device in his hands on a foggy, dimly lit street with the text 'SILENT HILL: Townfall' prominently displayed.

Silent Hill: Townfall is a full-length, standalone psychological-horror spin-off entry developed by Glasgow-based Screen Burn (formerly known as No Code) and co-published by KONAMI and Annapurna Interactive. Townfall introduces several major shifts to Silent Hill, starting with a first-person perspective and the Scottish setting of St. Amelia, an isolated island town shrouded in fog, trauma, and a troubling past. The project was first unveiled during KONAMI's October 2022 Silent Hill Transmission (which also announced the Silent Hill 2 remake). Back then, the studio was still known as No Code, but it later renamed itself Screen Burn. The team has a [โ€ฆ]

CAPCOM Moves Onimusha: Way of the Sword up Three Weeks to Dodge Silent Hill Townfall and Control Resonant Collision

2 July 2026 at 08:00

Promotional artwork for Capcom's Onimusha: Way of the Sword, showing two fantasy characters in an action pose with the text 'September 4, 2026' prominently displayed.

A couple of weeks ago, Canadian retailer PNP Games changed the launch date of Onimusha: Way of the Sword from the official September 25, 2026 to September 4. The game was featured in CAPCOM's Spotlight the following week, but CAPCOM did not announce any changes to the release date, so it seemed like an error on the retailer's part. However, earlier today, the Japanese developer confirmed it: Onimusha: Way of the Sword is now set to debut on September 4 across PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series S|X, and PC via Steam, the Epic Games Store, and Microsoft Store. CAPCOM Might Be Moving Onimusha: Way of the Sword up to September 4, as Fans Argue It Needs More Time

19 June 2026 at 08:00

Two characters in the game Onimusha: Way of the Sword stand back-to-back, each holding a sword, with a dramatic, mystical background.

We've previously highlighted the utter craziness of the September release schedule, and the craziest part of it all was the fact that Onimusha: Way of the Sword, Control Resonant, and Silent Hill: Townfall all released in the span of two days (September 24-25). However, it seems like CAPCOM might be about to move Onimusha out of the way, advancing its release date to September 4. That's the new date listed by Canadian retailer PNP Games, though no other major retailer has updated it yet. They might be ahead of everyone else, or it might be simply a mistake. CAPCOM has [โ€ฆ]

Remedy, Insomniac, Rebel Wolves and More Are Colliding in September as GTA 6โ€™s November Launch Warps the Entire AAA Calendar

3 June 2026 at 19:30

A collage featuring characters from various video games: a warrior with a sword, Wolverine with claws extended, a fighter with a large sword, a tech-savvy individual with a device, and a warrior with a blade on his arm.

September 2026 was already looking stacked before the State of Play, but yesterday it became veritably tragic for players' wallets. There are at least five (possibly more, depending on your definition of the category) major triple-A releases squeezing in this month, in what's clearly a desperate effort to stay out of the veritable vortex that Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto 6 will spin on the industry when it launches on November 19. They're also in fairly similar genres, practically forcing players to choose which to purchase, with inevitable repercussions for their sales. The only silver lining is that Phantom Blade Zero [โ€ฆ]

Silent Hill: Townfall Arrives in September 2026, Konami and Screen Burn Reveal at State of Play

Developer Screen Burn, alongside Annapurna Interactive and Konami have once again showcased Silent Hill: Townfall during today's State of Play and finally revealed a release date for the upcoming horror game following its first gameplay reveal earlier this year during Konami's Silent Hill Transmission event. Making it just a couple of months ahead of GTA 6, Silent Hill: Townfall will arrive on September 24, 2026. Its inclusion in today's event would've been more of a surprise if not for the fact that an ESRB rating for the game appeared earlier this morning, hours before the showcase would kick off. That [โ€ฆ]
