Former Witcher devs to reveal Blood of Dawnwalker RPG next week

22 April 2026 at 15:00

For years, a group of former Witcher 3 developers have been working on a new game, titled The Blood of Dawnwalker. Now, this vampire-themed RPG is finally nearing launch, with a big showcase scheduled for later this month.

Next week, the team at Rebel Wolves will give us our first look at gameplay from The Blood of Dawnwalker. The showcase reveal will last around 45 minutes, indicating that we'll be getting a deep dive into the game, not just a surface-level trailer.

The reveal takes place on April 28th and we also expect to get a release date during this event. Pre-orders for the game may also go live shortly after the reveal event.

The Blood of Dawnwalker takes place in a fictional region called Vale Sangora during the chaos of the Black Death, a moment when vampires seize the opportunity to rise from the shadows.

CD Projekt Red says β€˜no plans’ for new Cyberpunk 2077 expansion but remains quiet on The Witcher 3

13 March 2026 at 16:05

While it had a rocky launch, Cyberpunk 2077 went on to become one of the best RPGs of the current generation after the launch of its Phatom Liberty expansion. With Cyberpunk 2 still a long ways off, fans have been hoping for new DLC but unfortunately, it sounds like we are done with Night City for the time being.

In response to a fan question on Twitter/X, CD Projekt Red confirmed it has β€œno plans” for additional Cyberpunk 2077 expansions.

The idea of β€˜secret DLC' is a bit of a touchy subject for CD Projekt Red right now. In recent months, there have been a growing number of rumours claiming that we will see a new expansion for The Witcher 3 this year to bridge the gap between that game and The Witcher 4, which is currently deep into development. While there is no release date yet for the next Witcher game, it is expected to arrive before the end of 2028.

CD Projekt Red has not yet commented on the rumours surrounding a new Witcher expansion.

KitGuru Says: If The Witcher 3 is coming back with a new DLC this year, then I see no reason why the same thing couldn't happen for Cyberpunk 2077 once Cyberpunk 2 is closer to coming out.Β
