CDPR and Blizzard announce β€œA Collaboration Three Decades in the Making”

27 August 2026 at 10:30

CD Projekt Red are not one to shy away from collaborating with other studios, with The Witcher and Cyberpunk 2077 maker having allowed its IPs to crossover into plenty of games – both AAA and indie alike. In an unexpected announcement however, CDPR and Blizzard have now teased β€œa collaboration three decades in the making.β€œ

Taking to their blog to make the surprise announcement, CDPR shared a lengthy post going into the history of the studio and its relationship with Blizzard.

Of course, the team weren’t merely sharing platitudes, with CDPR confirming that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered will be added to Battle.net on the 29th of September.

While an interesting move from both companies, this appears to be just the tip of their collaboration, with the team confirming that β€œa Geralt-themed skin is coming to Diablo IV” at some point in the future.

It seems the really big announcements are being kept under wraps for now however, with CDPR stating: β€œwe’re hard at work preparing more surprises for fans of CD PROJEKT RED and Blizzard, and it won’t be too long before we can reveal them.”

As mentioned, CD Projekt Red have worked with other publishers / IPs in the past. That said, with statements such as β€œA Collaboration Three Decades in the Making” it’s safe to assume that far more is going on behind the scenes right now.

KitGuru says: What do you think of the announcements made so far? What else do you think they are working on? Let us know down below.

MSI is teasing a collaboration with anime Frieren

23 February 2026 at 16:30

MSI has started teasing a limited-edition graphics card collaboration with the popular fantasy anime Frieren: Beyond Journey's End, signalling another high-profile crossover.

The announcement first appeared on MSI's official Chinese Bilibili accounts (via Ruby_Rapids), featuring imagery that confirms a partnership with the series' copyright holders. While the specific product has not been officially confirmed, MSI's history suggests the collaboration will likely centre on a graphics card.

If it's indeed a graphics card, it will likely be based on one of MSI's existing high-end cooling platforms, such as the Gaming series, though customised with unique artwork.

This follows a growing trend of anime-inspired hardware, such as the Asus x Hatsune Miku series, or before that, the Evangelion collaboration. US custom PC company, Starforge Systems, also built a Frieren-themed PC. While this specific MSI teaser was primarily aimed at the Chinese market, there is a chance that we'll see it in the West as well.

KitGuru says: If this collaboration does exist it will also be interesting to see if it ends up being region specific.Β
