MCHOSE has launched the ACE75 Hall Effect gaming keyboard aimed at competitive gaming while retaining the controls and layout needed for everyday use. The keyboard will be available through Kickstarter beginning September 17.
At the hardware level, the ACE75 Hall effect runs at an 8,000Hz polling rate and 256K scan rate, with 0.08ms latency and 0.001mm adjustment precision. Rapid Trigger is adjustable from 0.001mm to 3.4mm, alongside advanced key functions including SOCD, DKS, MT, TGL and LT.

One of the more practical additions is a dedicated Rapid Trigger button. Three preset modes can be accessed directly from the keyboard, making it easier to switch settings for different games or everyday use without opening the driver each time.
More detailed adjustments are available through M HUB, MCHOSE’s web-based driver. Users can change actuation points, Rapid Trigger behavior, key functions, lighting, and profiles without installing additional software.
Compact, but still practical
The 75% layout retains the function row, dedicated arrow keys, and essential navigation keys, while taking up less desk space than a full-size keyboard. This leaves more room for mouse movement without moving to a more restrictive 60% layout.
Two magnetic switch options are available. The Berserker Magnetic Switch has a crisper bottom-out feel, while the Royal Steed Magnetic Switch is tuned for a softer sound profile. Both are rated for 100 million keystrokes. The keyboard also uses a multi-layer internal structure to improve typing feel and reduce unwanted case noise.
A multi-function knob sits on the left side of the keyboard, with controls for volume, mute, and customizable functions. Across the top is the Horizon RGB Light Bar, which supports lighting effects and music-responsive modes.
The ACE75 will be offered in four finishes: Mecha Green, Navy Blue, Midnight Purple and Moon Rock Gray. Inspired by modern tech, military sci-fi, and aerospace design, the new palette brings a bolder visual direction for MCHOSE.

Another launcher might be on its way out, and this time it’s Ubisoft’s turn.
A Reddit user spotted a Ubisoft Steam community blog for an unnamed game announcing “Ubisoft Connect Services,” a tool that would apparently phase the Ubisoft Connect launcher off Steam entirely while keeping everything it currently handles, including cross-progression, cross-play, player safety, and challenges and rewards.
Ubisoft seems to have pulled the post down before anyone outside Reddit could read it properly. I’ve found an archived HTML version at this link, but the original now returns a 404. Whether that’s a scheduling mishap or Ubisoft attaching the announcement to the wrong game is still unclear, but the news itself is still worth celebrating for Steam players.
What’s also unclear is whether this rolls out retroactively. The blog frames Ubisoft Connect Services as starting with Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, so older titles might be stuck with the launcher regardless.
Still, I’ll take any sign that publishers are quietly admitting nobody wants a second launcher bolted onto Steam. Rockstar’s Social Club remains the biggest holdout, and it’s not going anywhere while GTA and Red Dead keep selling by the truckload.

The trailer description leans hard into that “world is dying” mood, all cracked earth and forced missions and strings being pulled. Dramatic, sure, but it fits.
Sony’s China Hero Project has been quietly backing projects like this for years, and Daba is one of the bigger ones still waiting to land. This trailer doesn’t give a release date, but it’s proof the game’s still very much alive.

Keycap and switch puller
The EV63 is a 60%, so the layout is a bit different than the norm. There is no right CTRL button, and the delete button is next to the up arrow on the bottom of the keyboard instead of towards the top. There is also no shift key on the right side, which isn’t an issue per se, just something to take note of.
We have the Violet model of the EV63, which comes with PBT double-shot keycaps. In all our testing over the years, we have never run into any issues with similar keycaps, so these should last for quite some time, even with extensive gaming.
The EV63 keyboard utilizes geometric designs throughout to add an aesthetically pleasing appeal to itself. While most won’t sit there and stare at their keyboard all day, it will make you take a second glance should you see it sitting on a desk, as the design really does draw the eyes in.
There is a single USB-C port that will be used to connect the EV62 to your PC or laptop. The EV63 can only be used in wired mode, so there are no wireless or Bluetooth options available. The reason for this is likely to make sure that the rest of the specifications live up to their desired functions.
The EV62 boasts a 0.01mm Rapid Trigger function, 0.125ms Latency with 8K Polling and 16KHz scanning. The Gen-3 Rail-to-Rail Hall Sensor expands voltage tolerance by 400%, which greatly enhances the signal resolution and keystroke stability.
The RGB adds a subtle glow under the keycaps of the EV63. The keycaps easily pull off, but it is best to use the included keycap puller to do so, as while they are quite strong, they can break or bend slightly if pulled wrong.
The switches themselves can also be taken out using the included switch puller. It is quite easy, but again, best to do it properly and make sure you pull straight upwards when taking them out. To reinsert them, you just pop them back into place and push down firmly.
IQUNIX has gone with a custom-made in-house Magnetic X Pro Switch. It is said to have increased the bottom-out magnetic flux by 30%, allowing the switch to offer a stronger signal, precision, and consistency over other magnetic switches.
The Magnetic X Pro switches feel very smooth, as expected from a Hall Effect board. There is no traditional mechanical contact point, so the typing experience is more linear and consistent. For gaming, this works very well, but for typing, some users such as myself may still prefer the more defined feel of a traditional mechanical switch. You also have to factor in the layout of the EV63 when it comes to conventional uses; if you are used to typing on a standard keyboard, it will take some time to get used to the EV63.
The software is fairly easy to use and will allow users to set the EV63 to their desired settings. The software side is where the EV63 separates itself from standard mechanical keyboards. Being able to adjust actuation, remap keys, and use gaming-focused features such as SOCD and DKS gives the board a level of flexibility that competitive players will appreciate.

South Korean AI startup Upstage is in discussions with AMD to purchase 10,000 MI355X accelerators, according to Bloomberg, and the story is worth paying attention to for reasons that go beyond the headline number.
Upstage CEO Sung Kim confirmed the talks after meeting AMD CEO Lisa Su in Seoul last week. The quote he gave Bloomberg is the most interesting part of the whole thing: “We have a lot of Nvidia chips in Korea, but we want to diversify to other chips, including AMD’s.” That is not a complaint about Nvidia. It is a deliberate infrastructure strategy, and it is one that more organisations are starting to think seriously about as GPU supply constraints and vendor concentration risk become real operational concerns.
AMD is already an investor in Upstage, having participated in its Series B funding round. So this is not a cold commercial negotiation. It is a deepening of an existing relationship, with Upstage looking to put AMD silicon to work on its Solar language model and on Korea’s national AI foundation model programme. That programme, which the press has taken to calling the “AI Squid Game” after the Netflix series, pits four teams against each other in a government-backed competition evaluated every six months by the Ministry of Science and ICT. Two finalists will be selected by early next year, with the winners receiving additional allocations of Nvidia GPUs. Upstage is currently preparing a model with around 200 billion parameters for the upcoming summer evaluation round.
The MI355X is AMD’s latest Instinct accelerator, built on CDNA 4 architecture with 288 GB of HBM3E memory per card and 8 TB/s of memory bandwidth. Those are serious specifications, and the memory capacity, in particular, is the one that matters most for large-model inference. Running a 200B parameter model requires memory headroom that most accelerators simply cannot provide without aggressive quantisation or multi-node splitting. The MI355X’s memory capacity addresses that directly, and it is part of why AMD has been picking up large-scale enterprise AI commitments from organisations looking for alternatives to Nvidia’s HGX lineup.
The scale of this potential deal, 10,000 cards, would represent a meaningful deployment by any standard. At 288 GB per card, that is 2.88 petabytes of HBM3E accelerator memory if the full order goes through. That level of compute density requires serious infrastructure planning, and it signals that Upstage is not treating this as a trial run. Kim also confirmed that the company is targeting international expansion into markets such as Vietnam and the UAE with sovereign AI systems, which means this compute build-out is not just for domestic competition.
From AMD’s perspective, this is exactly the kind of deal the company needs to keep building momentum in a market that Nvidia still dominates by a considerable margin. AMD’s ROCm software stack has historically been the sticking point for organisations considering a switch, but the gap has narrowed enough that enterprises and startups alike are increasingly willing to run mixed deployments rather than treating Nvidia as the only viable option. The process technology underpinning the MI355X also matters here: TSMC’s capacity constraints at advanced nodes affect every major chip customer, and AMD’s ability to deliver at scale is a real consideration for any organisation planning a large procurement.
It is also worth noting the broader context AMD is operating in. The company has been under market pressure recently, with its stock declining in premarket trading on Monday despite the Upstage news, largely due to macro concerns around Middle East tensions and their effect on supply chains. But the underlying demand signal from deals like this one is clear: there is a growing pool of organisations that want high-performance AI compute, have specific memory and throughput requirements, and are actively looking beyond Nvidia to meet them. AMD’s efficiency advantage over competing x86 architectures is part of what makes its Instinct lineup credible for power-conscious deployments at scale.
The discussions are ongoing rather than finalised, and procurement at this scale involves logistics, software support commitments, and pricing negotiations that take time to close. But the direction of travel is clear. Korea is building serious AI infrastructure, Upstage is positioning itself as a competitive player in that environment, and AMD is the chip partner they are turning to for the next phase of that build-out.
