If you’ve been waiting to try Apple’s revamped Siri without installing a developer beta, you now can. The company on Tuesday released the iOS 27 public beta, giving iPhone owners early access to its AI-powered assistant and other new features before the software’s official launch this fall.

The update is part of Apple's broader effort to make Siri feel more natural and personal, as it rebuilds the assistant around generative AI.

Siri’s AI overhaul may have grabbed the headlines at WWDC, but some of Apple’s most useful AI features are arriving elsewhere in iOS 27.

While it's not flashy like Apple’s new Siri AI and Apple Intelligence upgrades, there are still a number of additions to iOS 27 worth looking at.

The iOS 27 developer beta includes code that references the fold state and screen angle of a device.

While iOS 27 isn't bringing major changes, it's still got many small features that could improve everyday usage for iPhone users.

An improved version of Liquid Glass in iOS 27 doesn’t mean that Apple will bring more animations or visual upgrades to the update, but the company has introduced a multitude of performance improvements that will make older devices perform like new.
