Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass prices drop in the UK

22 April 2026 at 14:00

Earlier this week, Microsoft confirmed that it would be unwinding last year's Game Pass price hike, reducing the price for both Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. Now, the UK price changes have been confirmed.Β

As we know already, over in the US, Game Pass Ultimate is coming down from $30 per month to $23 per month. Here in the UK, that works out to Β£16.99 per month under the new pricing structure.

PC Game Pass, the version of Game Pass exclusively for PC platforms, is the only non-Ultimate version of Game Pass to still include day-one first-party games like Fable, Forza Horizon 6 and Halo Campaign Evolved. Here in the UK, the service will drop in price to Β£10.99 per month, essentially putting both Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass back at the pricing tiers they were at this time last year.

To help keep Game Pass prices down moving forward, Call of Duty will no longer be a day-one release on Game Pass. Instead, Game Pass subscribers will have to wait one year to get their hands on the game, indicating that previous reports about lower COD sales this year were accurate.

KitGuru Says: With Game Pass prices coming back down, I may reconsider subscribing for this year's slate of titles, like Fable, Gears E-Day and Forza Horizon 6.Β

An Xbox logo with 'Game Pass' text is next to a character wearing a skull mask and headset from the game Call of Duty.

Following Microsoft's expensive acquisition of Activision Blizzard, the biggest question mark was whether the latter's most popular product, Call of Duty, would join Xbox Game Pass. Microsoft eventually decided to add new installments starting with 2024's Black Ops 6, developed by Treyarch and Raven Software. Right away, it broke franchise and Game Pass records, but later it became clear it wasn't such a good decision for the franchise. Now, according to Windows Central's Jez Corden, Microsoft might even remove 2026's Call of Duty from Game Pass. Speaking in his latest podcast, Corden said: It'd be interesting to see if they […]
