A few years back, Sega announced plans to develop a ‘Super game', one that would combine technologies it had developed across numerous AAA IP into one title. Now years later, the Super Game project is dead. 

As part of its Q4 earnings report, SEGA confirmed that it has decided to cancel the Super Game it had announced in 2021. The project notably had some backing from Microsoft, but nothing more about it had been revealed in the years since its announcement.

Moving forward, Sega will instead be focusing on maintaining its currently popular IP and reviving some of its legacy franchises like Crazy Taxi, Golden Axe, Streets of Rage and even Alien Isolation.

KitGuru Says: The Sega Super Game was announced in the middle of a pandemic-related games industry boom. A number of major publishers made insane decisions during this time, leading to many cancellations and studio closures. Ultimately, Sega has come out of that time period relatively unscathed.
