Microsoft has announced a major update to Xbox console prices across Europe, the United Kingdom, and the United States. The new prices became effective on August 1 and apply to every Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X model currently available.

Customers in the United States will also pay more. The Xbox Series S 512 GB now costs $499.99, while the 1 TB model is priced at $599.99. The Xbox Series X Digital Edition now sells for $749.99, and the standard 1 TB console has increased to $799.99.

Reports suggest that rising GDDR6 memory costs are one of the main reasons behind the increase in Xbox console prices. The higher cost of memory has made console production more expensive, leading Microsoft to adjust prices in several regions.

Demand for gaming consoles is also expected to grow as players prepare for the release of Grand Theft Auto VI. Strong demand and higher production costs may continue to affect console pricing over the coming months.
