Razer has introduced the Razer Prio, a new foldable gaming controller built for iPhone and Android users who want console-style controls without carrying a full-size gamepad.

The compact controller is designed to make mobile gaming easier while traveling, commuting, or simply playing away from home. It folds into a small package that can fit in a pocket, but opens into a larger controller with a complete set of gaming controls.

Razer Prio Folds Down for Easy Carrying

The biggest attraction of the Razer Prio is its unusual foldable design. When folded, it measures 107 x 67 x 23 mm and weighs just 101 grams, making it small enough to carry with a phone without adding much weight.

Once opened, the Prio provides a full controller layout with low-profile analog sticks, a four-way D-pad, face buttons, bumpers, and triggers. It supports smartphones up to 7 inches, including the iPhone 17 Pro Max and Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra.

The design is aimed at people who want proper physical controls but do not want to carry a traditional controller everywhere. Razer says the flexible setup can also work with most slim to medium phone cases.

Capacitive Sticks and Direct USB-C Connection

Razer has equipped the Prio with capacitive analog thumbsticks, which the company says are designed to reduce the risk of stick drift. Unlike traditional sticks that use physical contacts, the capacitive system detects movement without relying on those contacts.

The controller also connects directly to a compatible smartphone through USB-C. There is no Bluetooth pairing process and no separate controller battery that needs to be charged.

That wired connection is particularly useful for gaming where quick input response matters. The Prio also has silent tactile face buttons, giving players physical feedback without making as much noise in places such as buses, waiting rooms, or classrooms.

Built for Mobile Gaming and Remote Play

The Razer Prio supports iOS 18 and newer on compatible iPhones, along with Android 14 or later. It can be used for regular mobile games as well as several game streaming and remote-play services.

Supported options include Xbox Cloud Gaming, Steam Link, PS Remote Play, and Razer PC Remote Play.

Razer has also added a dedicated Razer Cortex Mobile button for quick access to the game library. Users can connect Razer Cortex Mobile with Razer Cortex on PC to access their PC games through Razer’s remote-play setup.
