Blood of Dawnwalker mod removes the gameβs best feature
The Blood of Dawnwalkerβs best feature is its 30-day countdown, and modders have already gutted it.
The time-passing system is what separates it from RPGs like Cyberpunk 2077, where youβre told your character has weeks to live yet somehow spend months chasing side quests without consequence. Blood of Dawnwalker actually commits to the pressure.
A mod that removes the point of the game
The top mod on Nexus Mods stretches the timer from 30 days to 90 and removes the time cost from levelling up. That means you can do everything the game offers in a single playthrough, no trade-offs, no urgency, no reason to ever choose.

Thatβs the entire design gone. Big quests are meant to eat your limited time, forcing you to play a different version of Coen each playthrough, one with different priorities and different calls to make on people like Brencis. Strip that away, and youβre left with a generic RPG that plays exactly like everything else on the shelf. You lose the replay value, too.
Itβs like cutting heroes from Dota 2, or guns from Call of Duty. Technically still a game. Just not the one anyone made.
So why buy it, install a mod that deletes its core system, and then play a worse version of it? If the timer isnβt for you, thatβs fine, but removing it isnβt fixing the game. Itβs just a different, weaker game wearing the same skin.
