Intel expands Binary Optimization Tool compatibility list with seven new games

9 June 2026 at 12:30

The Intel Binary Optimisation Tool (IBOT) has delivered some positive results so far for Core Ultra 2 and Core Ultra 3 users. Now, game compatibility is getting another boost, with seven more titles getting support, bringing the total number of compatible games up to 19.Β

The tool functions by analysing how game code behaves on Intel hardware and redirecting specific workloads through optimised paths. According to Intel, this methodology yields smoother gameplay and better processor utilisation directly, without updating the game itself.

Seven newly supported titles join the ecosystem including:

  • Hollow Knight: Silksong
  • Homeworld 3
  • Little Nightmares III
  • Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition
  • Ori and the Will of the Wisps
  • The Callisto Protocol
  • Warframe.

Intel claims players can expect up to a 27% frame rate increase in Hollow Knight: Silksong, alongside an average 12% performance improvement across all seven of the newly added games.

To enable IBOT, you need to first download and install the Intel Platform Performance Package. Then, open the APO UI, enable advanced mode, and toggle Intel Binary Optimization Tool. After that, reboot your system and launch the IBOT-supported game. The full list of compaitble processors can be found below:

  • Intel Core Ultra 7 270K Plus
  • Intel Core Ultra 5 250K Plus
  • Intel Core Ultra 5 250KF Plus

  • Intel Core Ultra 7 355
  • Intel Core Ultra 5 335
  • Intel Core Ultra 5 332
  • Intel Core Ultra 5 325
  • Intel Core Ultra 5 322

KitGuru says: Getting a free performance bump without waiting for developer patches is a nice bonus, though we'll have to see how these optimisation profiles hold up in real-world testing.

The Arrow Lake Refresh CPUs have taken the spotlight in the budget PC segment, and one of the ways Intel plans to boost performance is the 'Binary Optimization' tool, which we have dissected in this coverage. The launch of Intel's Arrow Lake Refresh lineup was seen with a lot of optimism, given that the initial SKUs, mainly the Core Ultra 5 250K Plus and the Core Ultra 7 270K Plus, feature an impressive price tag, and supposedly performance as well, judging by the official benchmarks shared. At the same time, during Intel's technical showcase last week, there was a heavy […]
