In this version of Crimson Desert, using Aerial Roll while in Focus cancels this state immediately, preventing you from using Unleash to gain a significant speed boost. Original guide follows. 7 April 2026 at 15:41

A character in 'Crimson Desert' stands on a snowy cliff overlooking a scenic landscape, with overlay text reading 'Best Weapons Guide: Why Base Attack Doesn't Matter.'

Crimson Desert features a wealth of weapon options between one-handed and two-handed weapons for all three playable characters: Kliff, Damiane, and Oongka. With different abilities and stats, it can be daunting to find a weapon powerful enough to safely invest rare materials to upgrade it. When choosing the best weapon in Crimson Desert, however, you shouldn't stop at how rare it is and how high its attack power is. The only things that truly matter are Critical Rate and Abyss Gear sockets. Quick Summary: What Makes Weapons The Best If you want the most powerful build in the game, follow […]

Crimson Desert Leveling Guide: How to Farm Abyss Artifacts Fast

3 April 2026 at 09:13

A scene from the game 'Crimson Desert' shows two characters engaged in battle with on-screen text 'How to Farm Abyss Artifacts Fast'.

Crimson DesertΒ does away with the traditional XP system seen in countless other games, basing the entire character progression for Kliff, Damiane, and Oongka on gear and Abyss Artifacts, which are used to unlock skills and increase three base stats. However, the game still features a sort of XP system (which it never explains) that lets you farm these artifacts to power up your characters quickly and further refine your gear. The "Hidden" XP Bar If you check the main game interface in the lower left-hand of the screen, to the sides of the circular minimap, you will see two vertical […]

Crimson Desert: How to Disarm Enemies and Steal Their Weapons For Infinite Silver

24 March 2026 at 16:57

A scene from the game 'Crimson Desert' shows a character approaching two enemies amidst greenery with the on-screen text 'How to Disarm Enemies To Steal Their Gear For Infinite Silver'.

With its sandbox mechanics, Crimson Desert is filled with a lot of secret techniques that can help you gain a sound advantage over the enemy. Among these is a secret disarm technique that is very easy to use, weakens enemies considerably and allow you to easily get their gear to sell for what is essentially infinite silver. The Secret Disarm Mechanic The game never explicitly warns you about this, but Kliff can force enemies to drop their equipment mid-fight and steal it even before the fight is over. To disarm enemies, you have to: As you can easily understand, this […]

Crimson Desert: Why You Should Max Beggars’ Trust Immediately (Passive Resource Guide)

23 March 2026 at 16:27

A scene from 'Crimson Desert' shows a character interacting with beggars on a cobblestone street, with the text 'Why You Should Max Beggars' Trust Immediately' overlaid.

Crimson Desert features a vast array of intricate mechanics that are rarely explained in detail. One of the most overlooked is the Trust system, which allows Kliff to establish lasting bonds with nearly every NPC in the game, including dogs and cats. While the reward for befriending animals is to turn them into pets that accompany the Greymanes' captain, the benefits of befriending human NPCs are more varied, depending if they are vendors or regular NPCs. However, there is one category of NPCs you should prioritize maxing out as quickly as possible: beggars. Not only is it incredibly simple to […]

Crimson Desert: How to Store Items (The Supply Chest Workaround)

22 March 2026 at 22:57

A scene from the game Crimson Desert shows a character approaching a merchant's tent with the on-screen text 'How to Store Items'.

Crimson Desert doesn't feature a storage chest that lets you store items, forcing you to bring every item in your possession with you at all times in your limited inventory. However, there's a way to store items inside your supply chest to free your inventory of items you don't want to carry, but don't want to sell either. With this workaround, you can address one of the game's biggest pain points without having to wait for the official implementation of a storage chest in a future patch. The Supply Chest Exploit To store items in Crimson Desert as per the […]

Crimson Desert – How to Fix Blurry Graphics on PlayStation 5

20 March 2026 at 15:56

A character in 'Crimson Desert' stands in a large library with shelves full of books.

Crimson Desert on base PlayStation 5 may not look as good as it does on a high-end PC, but it's still an impressive game with some of the most beautiful landscapes seen in the current console generation. However, some users have reported extremely blurry visuals, with no way to fix them via the game's own settings. If you're among the users who are experiencing this issue, you are in luck, as there's an easy way to fix it (unlike the AMD FSR 4 issues on PC), and experience the game the way it is intended on the console. The Fix […]

19 March 2026 at 22:00

A character in the game Crimson Desert is interacting with a market vendor, with the text 'How to Expand Inventory Space' displayed prominently.

Inventory management is a constant struggle in the early hours of Crimson Desert. Since almost everything from gear and resources to ammo occupies space, your bags will fill up rapidly, especially if you like exploring the world and collecting every item you can get. Without expanding your slots, you’ll find yourself forced into frequent, time-consuming trips to shops to sell excess loot or back to the Greymanes Camp to donate resources. Given how the fast travel system works in the game, these trips can be a big impediment to your exploration endeavors. Here's how you can expand inventory space to […]

Crimson Desert – How to Summon Companions and Swap Characters

19 March 2026 at 22:00

A character in the game 'Crimson Desert' stands with another character in a grassy landscape, with the text 'How to Summon Companions and Swap Characters' displayed on screen.

Pywel is a brutal continent, and clearing out enemy-occupied locations in Crimson Desert can be overwhelming when you're outnumbered. While the game focuses heavily on Kliff, it actually features a companion system that allows you to bring others into the fray. As for many of its mechanics, the game doesn't explicitly tell you how this system works, leading many to believe they always have to explore Pywel and fight enemies alone. Here is how to form your party and swap characters on the fly. How to Summon Companions In Crimson Desert, you can call for help almost anywhere in the […]

Crimson Desert – How to Change Time of Day

19 March 2026 at 22:00

A character in Crimson Desert overlooks a vast landscape with the on-screen text 'How to Change Time of Day'.

In Crimson Desert, changing the time of day is as important as it is in every open-world game, if not even more. With some bounty targets only being out and about only at certain hours, and with nights being dark enough to impede your visibility, there are times when you may want to move time forward. How to Change Time of Day Unlike the vast majority of open-world games, you cannot change the time of day in Crimson Desert by picking an option from the main menu. To advance time, you must locate a Bonfire anywhere in the world and […]

Crimson Desert Fast Travel Trick: How to Teleport Anywhere Using Character Swapping

19 March 2026 at 22:00

Kliff walking in a town in Crimson Desert

The fast-travel system in Crimson Desert feels restrictive, even hours into the experience, requiring you to discover Abyss Nexuses and Abyss Crassets to teleport around the massive continent of Pywel. However, as soon as Damiane joins Kliff during an early story quest, there's a way to exploit the game’s multi-character mechanics and the Summon + Gather system, letting you use characters as mobile waypoints. The Fast Travel Trick Crimson Desert has a unique approach to multi-character gameplay. The game tracks the location of every playable character independently, and when you switch to another, you are immediately teleported to wherever that […]

19 March 2026 at 22:00

A character in 'Crimson Desert' aims a bow while confronting enemies in a grassy landscape with on-screen text reading 'Use This Broken Skill to Wipe Out Large Groups Of Enemies.'

If you find yourself constantly overwhelmed by enemies in Crimson Desert, you aren’t alone. The early game, in particular, is extremely difficult, so much so that the huge enemy numbers Kliff has to fight as he attempts to restore the Greymanes can make the entire experience very frustrating While the game asks a lot out of you at the beginning of the game, there is a very simple yet effective way to even the odds against this huge enemy numbers: the Blinding Flash Finisher skill. How to Respec and Reset Skill Points in Crimson Desert

19 March 2026 at 22:00

A character stands on a stone platform while the on-screen text reads 'How to Respec and Reset Skill Points' in the game 'Crimson Desert'.

Crimson Desert is one of those rare games that doesn't hold your hand, and often doesn't detail its many features and mechanics. This includes the respec mechanics, which are available in the game, but are not free as they are in most modern games Respeccing Procedure To respec in Crimson Desert, you must have a Faded Abyss Artifact in your inventory. These are way rarer than the standard Abyss Artifacts used to unlock skills and are typically obtained as rewards for some of the game's most intense challenges. To respec, you have to: After doing so, your entire skill tree […]

Crimson Desert: How to Fix DualSense Controller Icons On PC (Bluetooth Fix)

19 March 2026 at 22:00

In the game 'Crimson Desert,' a character stands amidst dense foliage with text overlay 'How to Fix DualSense Controller Icons On PC' in green.

If you are playing Crimson Desert on PC with a DualSense or DualSense Edge controller, you may notice the game defaulting to Xbox "ABXY" prompts if you're pairing your controller via Bluetooth. While connecting the controller to your PC with a USB cable solves the issue, there's only one reliable way to get the game to display the correct icons for a wireless PlayStation 5 controller, in case you have this issue. Fixing The Issue Early in my playthrough of the PC version, I was forced to play with the Xbox icons instead of my DualSense Edge icons, as the […]

Crimson Desert – Best Stats to Level Up First

19 March 2026 at 22:00

A character in Crimson Desert stands on a cliff overlooking a detailed landscape with the text 'Best Stats to Level Up First' prominently displayed.

In Crimson Desert, Kliff’s physical growth is dictated by three core attributes: Health, Spirit, and Stamina. As you increase these stats by using Abyss Artifacts, which cannot be refunded without another rare type of Abyss Artifact, rather than traditional XP grinding, how you level up certain stats will determine how well you will do as you take your first steps in Pywell to restore the Greymanes. All Upgradable Stats All playable characters in Crimson Desert have three stats that can be upgraded via the Skill Tree using Abyss Artifacts. Stats Leveling Up Priority Ranking 1. Stamina Without a doubt, Stamina […]

19 March 2026 at 22:00

A character in Crimson Desert holding a spear near a waterfall with text 'How to Use the Broken Spear and Its Overpowered Evasive Slash Counter.'

If you are struggling in Crimson Desert with the relentless enemy numbers storming out of occupied regions in Pywel, you are not alone. While Kliff has many powerful weapons and skills, the sheer number of options can make it difficult to understand, during the early game, which one is truly the best. However, there's a weapon type in the game that is so good, it almost feels broken: the Spear. This weapon type doesn't just offer superior reach, but also features a particularly overpowered skill that can make short work of most enemies in the game, bosses included. The Broken […]

With dozens of abilities to choose from, three stats to enhance, and a limited number of Abyss Artifacts at the start of the game, deciding which skills to learn in Crimson Desert can be daunting.
