Philips Evnia is expanding its ambient‑lighting ecosystem with AmbiScape, a new feature designed to extend on‑screen lighting effects into the wider room. The update builds on the brand’s existing AI‑Enhanced Ambiglow system and its support for Windows Dynamic Lighting, aiming to create a more unified lighting setup across gaming setups.
AmbiScape works by synchronising Matter‑compatible smart lights with what is happening on screen, updating room lighting in real time as scenes change. Evnia says the goal is to make the surrounding environment react alongside the display, rather than leaving the room visually static during gameplay or media. Configuration is handled through the Philips Evnia Precision Center, where users can adjust intensity, behaviour and room layout.
AI‑Enhanced Ambiglow remains part of the system, dynamically adapting the monitor’s ambient projection based on colour balance and scene transitions instead of relying on fixed RGB presets. Users can create profiles and fine‑tune behaviour through Precision Center, which also manages lighting across supported devices.
Evnia’s monitors continue to support Windows Dynamic Lighting, making the brand the first in the gaming‑monitor category to integrate Microsoft’s RGB‑control framework. When connected via USB upstream, lighting behaviour can be synchronised across compatible peripherals directly through Windows 11 settings.
AmbiScape is available at no additional cost for Evnia monitors that support Precision Center. Version 1.9 of the software will be released on the 29th of April, enabling users to expand their setups with room‑scale lighting effects.
