CXMT’s β€˜Cheap’ DDR5 Is a Myth, Memory Vendors Tell us at Computex β€” Prices Match Samsung, SK Hynix & Micron

CXMT's DDR5 memory is apparently not as cheap to procure as reports claim, falling in the same range as DRAM from other manufacturers. CXMT DDR5 Memory Prices Are Similar To Samsung, SK Hynix & Micron - The Only Advantage Is That They Have Supply For Client Markets China's premier DRAM maker, CXMT, has been seen as the savior of the client segment. The manufacturer is investing big time in setting up new factories to double its memory production, and is already working with global vendors to supply its DRAM solutions. Since the beginning of the DRAM crisis, eyes have been […]

ADATA XPG brings a fresh look with new NOVAKEY RGB DDR5 memory

By: Bahleem
5 May 2026 at 07:53

ADATA XPG has launched a new memory series called NOVAKEY, and it is clearly trying to stand out. The highlight is its RGB DDR5 kit, which comes with what the company calls the world’s first infinity mirror design on gaming memory.

The design is the main talking point here. It creates a deep mirror effect that looks like a tunnel of light when the RGB is on. This fits well with modern PC cases that have glass panels. Even when the lights are off, the module still looks clean with its matte black finish and metal build.

But this is not only about looks. The NOVAKEY RGB DDR5 is built for stable performance. It offers speeds up to 6400 MT/s, which is considered a strong and balanced level for most users. Instead of chasing extreme overclock numbers, the focus here is smooth and reliable use. This makes it a good option for gaming, video editing, and even AI-related tasks.

The memory comes in 16 GB and 32 GB options, with both single and dual kits available. It also supports low latency, going as low as CL30. Inside, it uses a 10-layer PCB, built-in power management, and error correction to keep data safe and stable during heavy workloads.

Another point worth noting is support for both Intel XMP 3.0 and AMD EXPO. This means users can easily enable higher speeds with one click, without manual tuning.

ADATA XPG is also focusing on sustainability this time. The heat sink uses recycled aluminium and plastic, and the packaging is eco-friendly. At the same time, the company is offering a limited lifetime warranty, which adds extra trust for buyers.

The ADATA XPG NOVAKEY RGB DDR5 memory was released globally on April 24, 2026. It targets gamers and creators who want both good looks and stable performance without going into extreme setups.

New HUDIMM DDR5 Standard Promises Cheaper Memory, But Testing Shows It Slashes Bandwidth in Half

DDR5 HUDIMM 8 GB & 16 GB Tested: Drops Memory Performance By Half To Justify Price Cuts 1

Intel is working with partners to release a cost-effective DDR5 memory design called HUDIMM, but it will lead to much lower performance. DDR5 HUDIMM Memory May Look Great For Budget Builders, But The Performance Impact Is So Huge, It Makes DDR4 Look Better Last week, Intel introduced a new DDR5 memory standard, along with its partners, called HUDIMM. The HUDIMM standard stands for Half-UDIMM & what it does is switch from two 32-bit channels that are featured on normal memory modules to just one 32-bit channel. This should allow memory makers to build cost-effective memory by populating half of the […]
