While AI dominates the layoff narrative, engineers are actually making up a larger share of new hires, according to SignalFire data.

Stockholm-based startup Fika Jobs is building a video-first hiring platform that combines AI interview agents with short-form video profiles, creating something that feels like a cross between LinkedIn and TikTok.

LinkedIn says hiring is down 20% since 2022, but blames higher interest rates — not AI — for the slowdown.

Our YouTube channel has grown a lot over the past five years and we are looking to grow things further with more reviews. If you have ever fancied reviewing tech and breaking into the content creation space, then we have a job opening for you! 

We are looking for someone who will be able to produce reviews of a range of tech gear in video format and in the KitGuru style. We cover everything from chairs and peripherals to dedicated PC hardware, so you will have an opportunity to test out a lot of different products hitting the market.

Any experience in this sector is beneficial, but we are open to all applicants provided you can give us a sample of your written or video work so we can assess your abilities.

To be considered for this position you need:

• Skillset to present well on camera – and in English.
• The ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Strong communication skills.
• Some knowledge of video editing would be useful, but we have that capability in-house if we find the right candidate.
• Strong writing ability.
• This is a freelance position.
