ASRock unveils the PG27QFW2A and PG32QFT QHD gaming monitors

29 April 2026 at 08:30

ASRock has expanded its Phantom Gaming lineup with the release of the PG27QFW2A and the PG32QFT, two QHD gaming monitors targeting two types of gamers.

The standout feature of the PG27QFW2A (27-inch) monitor is its 400 Hz refresh rate and QHD (2560 x 1440) Fast IPS display. The visual performance is backed by a 99% DCI-P3 wide colour gamut and VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification. To ensure that this high-speed performance remains smooth and free of visual artefacts, the monitor features AMD FreeSync Premium technology.

Beyond the panel specs, ASRock has introduced a unique functional element: a Phantom Gaming Wi-Fi antenna integrated directly into the monitor stand. This patented design can boost wireless signal strength by up to 7 dBi, which should help minimise latency fluctuations and improve stability for gamers without a direct Ethernet connection. The aesthetic design is quite bold, featuring an β€œalien-inspired” motif on the rear cover that aligns with the Phantom Gaming series' branding.

Alongside the flagship 400 Hz model, ASRock also introduced the PG32QFT, a 32-inch QHD IPS monitor designed for those who prioritise screen size. While it features a more modest 180 Hz refresh rate, it retains the core benefits of the Phantom Gaming ecosystem, including the integrated Wi-Fi antenna and a Fast IPS display. Both monitors come equipped with ASRock's suite of gaming tools, including Dark Boost for improved visibility in shadows, Overdrive tuning, and on-screen crosshair overlays to assist with aiming.

ASRock has launched a new gaming monitor called the ASRock PG27QFW2A. It focuses on speed and clear visuals, offering a very high 400Hz refresh rate with a 2K QHD resolution. This makes it a strong option for players who want smooth gameplay without losing image quality.

Most monitors in this high refresh range still use older panel types, but ASRock PG27QFW2A comes with a Fast IPS panel. This means you get both speed and better colours at the same time. The screen also gives wide viewing angles, so the image stays clear even when you move your head or sit at an angle.

Colour quality is another strong point here. The ASRock PG27QFW2A gaming monitor supports 99% DCI-P3 colour, which helps show more natural and rich colours. It also has VESA DisplayHDR 400 support, so brightness and contrast look better than normal displays. While it is not an OLED screen, it still gives a good balance between price and performance. For smoother gameplay, it also supports AMD FreeSync Premium to reduce screen tearing and stutter.

The design follows the Phantom Gaming style with a bold look on the back. One interesting feature is the built-in Wi-Fi antenna in the stand. It can boost signal strength and help give a more stable internet connection, which can be useful for online gaming.

ASRock has also added some helpful gaming features. These include Dark Boost to see better in dark scenes, Overdrive settings for response tuning, preset modes, and tools like a crosshair overlay and refresh rate display.

Along with ASRock PG27QFW2A gaming monitor, ASRock also introduced the PG32QFT. This is a larger 32-inch QHD monitor with a 180Hz refresh rate. It is made for users who prefer a bigger screen while still getting smooth performance.

With these new monitors, ASRock is clearly trying to offer a good mix of speed, colour, and useful features for modern gamers.
