Gigabyte has revealed technical details for its new Aorus Elite gaming monitor series, focusing on AI-driven visual optimisation, upgraded OLED protection, and new “tactical” features.

The Aorus Elite lineup integrates AI-powered technologies like AI Picture Mode, which automatically adjusts SDR content settings based on usage scenarios. According to Gigabyte, its HyperNits feature enhances HDR brightness by up to 30% in high-APL scenes without overexposing highlights. Furthermore, the FM275K16P 5K Mini LED model exclusively features AI Super Resolution to sharpen clarity through upscaling.

For its OLED displays, the company updated its AI OLED Care Pro suite to include AI sensors that monitor pixel cleaning, ambient lighting, and user presence. This system works alongside a new thermal design with integrated heat pipes. Gigabyte claims the FO27Q28G model achieves a 12% reduction in T-Con temperature, a 5% lower peak surface temperature, and up to 35% better temperature uniformity compared to rival flagship models. To back this up, Gigabyte is extending the burn-in warranty for its newer OLED monitors from three years to four years.

Gamers also get new AI-powered features, including a custom HUD with adjustable transparency and a crosshair that switches between red and green to maintain visibility against changing backgrounds. These additions join existing features such as Tactical Switch 2.0, Night Vision, and Black Equalizer.

KitGuru says: The extended 4-year burn-in warranty is a sign that OLED burn-in is becoming much less of an issue than it was in the past. Hopefully, other brands will follow Gigabyte's new warranty policy for their OLED monitors.

Asus ROG has expanded its display portfolio with three new 27-inch models: the ROG Strix OLED XG27AQDMG Gen2, XG27ACDMS, and XG27AQDMES. These monitors offer users a choice between WOLED and QD-OLED panels, backed by a three-year warranty, and the comprehensive Asus OLED Care Pro suite.

The ROG Strix OLED XG27AQDMG Gen2 is a 240Hz QHD WOLED monitor featuring a TrueBlack Glossy panel. This zero-haze layer and anti-reflective stack are designed to provide the deepest possible black levels and a peak brightness of 1300 nits, earning it VESA DisplayHDR 400 compliance.

For those who favour the QD-OLED sub-pixel structure, the ROG Strix OLED XG27ACDMS pushes the envelope with a 280Hz refresh rate, 10-bit colour depth, and a peak brightness of 1000 nits. It also features a USB-C port with 15W power delivery, offering more versatile connectivity for laptop users. Meanwhile, the XG27AQDMES offers a specialised semi-glossy QD-OLED alternative at 240Hz, featuring the same true 10-bit colour depth but with a more conservative peak brightness of 400 nits.

All three monitors integrate the new Neo Proximity sensor, a hardware-level addition to the OLED Care Pro suite that automatically dims the screen when the user steps away, mitigating burn-in risk. Beyond the protection features, Asus has included a suite of AI-driven gameplay enhancements such as Dynamic Shadow Boost and a colour-shifting Dynamic Crosshair. For competitive players, an aspect-ratio control lets the screen switch to a 24.5-inch mode to match tournament standards. These and other settings can be managed directly through the DisplayWidget Center software or via the OSD.
