Edifier Celebrates 30 Years With Exciting Audio Lineup at IFA 2026

By: Bahleem
3 September 2026 at 16:54

Edifier is marking its 30th anniversary at IFA 2026 with a wide range of audio products built for different parts of everyday life. Instead of focusing on one product category, the company is using the event to show how its audio lineup covers everything from personal listening and gaming to home entertainment and professional studio work.

Founded in Beijing in 1996, Edifier has grown from a speaker maker into a global audio brand. The company says its goal has remained simple over the years: make high-quality sound easier to enjoy in everyday life.

At IFA, that idea is being presented through a broad selection of new and existing products.

Edifier Brings Audio Products for Different Needs

People now use audio products in very different situations. Someone may use earbuds while travelling, speakers at home, headphones at work and gaming audio at night.

Edifier’s IFA lineup reflects this change with products covering personal audio, portable listening, home entertainment, studio monitoring, premium Hi-Fi and gaming.

The company will also divide its IFA presentation into dedicated product areas, allowing visitors to see how its different audio solutions fit into different lifestyles.

XR6 Targets Studio Professionals and Creators

One of the key products on display is the Edifier XR6 professional studio monitor.

The active monitor is designed for people who need accurate sound while producing or editing audio. Its built-in room calibration system uses DSP and dedicated PC software to adjust the speaker according to the listening environment.

Edifier has also used a full aluminium enclosure to help reduce unwanted vibration. The XR6 uses a three-way design and high-performance drivers, with the goal of delivering clean detail, accurate imaging and low distortion.

This makes the XR6 suitable not only for professional studios but also for creators working from home.

M90 and MW6T Create a Complete Home Audio Setup

For home entertainment, Edifier is showing the M90 Bi-Amped 2.0 speakers alongside the MW6T compact powered subwoofer.

The M90 offers 100 W RMS output and supports Hi-Res Audio and Hi-Res Audio Wireless. Connectivity options include HDMI eARC, Bluetooth 6.0 with LDAC, USB-C and optical input.

The MW6T adds a much stronger low-end response with 210 W RMS output and two 6.5-inch woofers. It also includes room acoustic compensation to help balance the bass in different spaces.

Together, the two products are designed for music, movies, gaming and general home use without requiring a large audio setup.

WH950NB Pro Adds Advanced Noise Cancellation

Edifier is also highlighting the WH950NB Pro wireless over-ear headphones for everyday users.

The headphones use adaptive hybrid active noise cancellation with an eight-microphone system. They also feature dual dynamic drivers and spatial audio with head tracking for a more immersive listening experience.

For calls, Edifier has included a six-microphone AI-based system. Bluetooth 6.1 is supported, while battery life can reach up to 70 hours with ANC turned off.

That combination makes the WH950NB Pro one of the more versatile personal audio products in Edifier’s IFA lineup.

STAX SPIRIT Focuses on Premium Wireless Audio

The company’s premium personal audio range is represented by the STAX SPIRIT planar magnetic headphones.

Planar magnetic driver technology is designed to provide detailed sound with low distortion, making it particularly appealing to listeners who care about audio quality.

Edifier is combining that technology with wireless functionality and a premium design, targeting music fans, creators and users looking for a more refined portable listening experience.

Premium Hi-Fi and Gaming Get Dedicated Areas

Edifier’s IFA presentation will also include a dedicated Premium Hi-Fi section. The area will feature the flagship S3000 MKII speakers along with products from the AIRPULSE lineup.

Gaming will have its own space through Edifier’s HECATE brand, where visitors can explore audio products designed for immersive gaming.

This wider presentation is important because Edifier is no longer positioning itself simply as a computer speaker company. Its current lineup stretches across several parts of the audio market, from affordable everyday listening to professional and premium equipment.

Edifier Looks to the Next 30 Years

Edifier’s 30th anniversary gives the company a chance to look back at its growth, but its IFA 2026 showcase is clearly focused on what comes next.

The company is using its anniversary year to demonstrate how its audio technology can fit into different daily activities, whether that means listening to music during a commute, working in a studio, watching movies at home or gaming.

With products covering such a wide range of uses, Edifier’s IFA lineup shows the company’s broader strategy: build dedicated audio products for different listening situations while keeping sound quality and modern features at the center.

Edifier launches MR4.5 studio-grade speakers with Bluetooth 6.0 and LDAC

14 July 2026 at 17:00

Edifier has launched its latest studio monitor speakers, the MR4.5, expanding its MR Series lineup. Available now, the new active speakers aim to bridge the gap between the entry‑level MR4 and the flagship MR5 models, offering a mid‑range solution for content creation, video editing, and music production.

The MR4.5 has a bi‑amplified design and Hi‑Res Audio certification for accurate sound reproduction. To adapt to different desktop environments, the speakers include built‑in acoustic tuning alongside desktop compensation controls. These options let users adjust performance based on room placement and proximity to walls.

There are both wired and wireless connectivity options here too, so you get the best of both worlds. You can use Bluetooth 6.0 to stream music to the speakers from any device, and multipoint connectivity means you can easily switch between audio sources and have multiple paired at once. For wired connectivity, you get XLR and TRS inputs, so they can hook right into an audio interface, mixer or PC.

To manage the speakers, users can use the Edifier ConneX App to make EQ adjustments, switch between preset modes, and access advanced acoustic controls. The MR4.5 speakers are now available in black or white for $249.99.

Edifier introduces G5 Max wireless headset with 300-hour battery life

2 July 2026 at 16:00

Edifier has launched the Hecate G5 Max wireless gaming headset, bringing professional-grade audio features and massive battery life to the market. Now available, the new mid-range headset is designed for PC gamers, streamers, and audio enthusiasts.

The Hecate G5 Max headset features 53mm titanium-coated drivers with PEN titanium diaphragm technology, which Edifier claims keeps distortion levels below 1%. Triple Hi-Res Audio certifications back the hardware alongside integration for THX Spatial Audio+. This technology provides 7.1.4 virtual surround sound to enhance positional tracking in supported Windows 11 titles. Users can adjust these audio profiles directly via controls for EQ, Bass Boost, Vocal Clarity, and Volume Normalization.

For communication, the design pairs dual ENC microphones with a detachable 9.75mm unidirectional microphone. This setup leverages AI noise cancellation to filter out background noise during competitive matches or streaming sessions. Wireless connectivity is handled via either Bluetooth 6.0, supporting SBC and LHDC 5.0 codecs, or a dedicated 2.4G wireless mode.

Edifier has fitted the chassis with a 2000mAh battery that delivers up to 305 hours of playback on a single charge. This high capacity aims to minimise charging interruptions during long deployment spans or travel. The Hecate G5 Max is now available for $149.99.

KitGuru says: A 305-hour battery specification is an incredibly high figure for a wireless gaming headset, easily outpacing most premium competitors on the market if it holds up in real-world testing.
