K:V, ZNS, Compute, and Software-Defined Storage (SDS)

Although NAND flash is often treated like dumb, block non-volatile media, it can be used in interesting ways in enterprise. Alternative systems include Key:Value (K:V), zoned namespaces (ZNS), and for compute. Storage may also have some virtualization or abstraction with software-defined storage (SDS) particularly for the cloud.
