AOC has listed a new 27-inch gaming monitor, the Q27G4SM, on its Chinese website. Built around a Fast IPS panel and an 1152-zone Quantum Dot Mini-LED backlight, the display delivers a 2560×1440 resolution, a 340Hz refresh rate, and VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certification.

According to the official datasheet (via Prad), the monitor achieves a peak brightness of 1200nits with a 10-bit colour depth and a 1 ms G2G response time. Colour coverage reaches 100% sRGB and 99% DCI-P3 with a Delta-E accuracy rating under 2, while typical power consumption is rated at 35W. FreeSync is on board to prevent screen tearing, backed by a selectable motion blur reduction mode.

Display features include picture-in-picture and picture-by-picture viewing, an FPS counter, and a crosshair overlay. Physical connectivity options consist of two HDMI 2.1 inputs, one DisplayPort 1.4 connection, and a headphone output. AOC has launched the Q27G4KDP OLED gaming monitor in China, featuring a dual-mode design that lets users switch between QHD at 540Hz and HD at 720Hz.

According to DisplaySpecifications, the AOC Q27G4KDP uses LG's 4th-generation OLED panel with a 4-stack Primary RGB Tandem structure and AGLR (anti-glare low reflection) technology. The 27-inch WOLED panel provides native 10-bit colour, 99.5% DCI-P3 gamut coverage, and a factory-calibrated average ΔE < 2. According to AOC, the monitor achieves a peak brightness of 1500 nits in HDR highlights and carries the VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification. For eye comfort, the unit incorporates hardware low-blue-light technology and is TÜV-certified as flicker-free.

AOC specifies a grey-to-grey response time of 0.02ms. The Q27G4KDP is officially NVIDIA G-Sync compatible and features VESA ClearMR 21000 certification. Integrated gaming tools include Dark Field Control, Game Color, crosshair overlays, dynamic reticle options, and a real-time frame-rate counter.

Alienware has launched the AW2726DM, a 27-inch QD-OLED gaming monitor that's most likely the cheapest OLED-type panel in the market. However, as you might expect, it has some limitations, most obviously in its brightness output.

The Alienware AW2726DM (via NotebookCheck) features a QHD resolution of 2560×1440 and a maximum refresh rate of 240Hz. Aimed at the budget-friendly segment, the monitor features a 3-year warranty that covers OLED burn-in. The QD-OLED panel is rated for a typical brightness of 200 nits, peaking at 400 nits in HDR mode. The display provides a 0.03ms response time and 99% DCI-P3 coverage. The 10-bit colour depth panel supports HDR content, but it's not VESA-certified. For a tear-free experience, the monitor supports AMD FreeSync Premium, though official G-Sync compatibility is not listed in the specifications.

Connectivity consists of one DisplayPort 1.4 port, which is required to achieve the full 240Hz refresh rate at 1440p. Two HDMI 2.1 ports are also provided, supporting native resolutions up to 120Hz. A dedicated headphone jack is integrated into the chassis for audio output.

Philips has introduced the Evnia 27M2G5800, a 27-inch gaming monitor featuring a dual-mode Fast IPS panel. The display allows users to switch between a native 5K resolution for high-fidelity tasks and a high-refresh QHD mode for competitive gaming. 

According to ITHome, the Evnia 27M2G5800 has a native resolution of 5120×2880, with a pixel density of 217 PPI. In 5K mode, the monitor supports a native 165Hz refresh rate, which can be overclocked to 180Hz. Alternatively, the display can be toggled to a 2560×1440 QHD mode to unlock refresh rates up to 330Hz.

Philips rates the display at a peak brightness of 500 nits and a 1000:1 contrast ratio. It features VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification and supports adaptive sync, including official G-Sync compatibility. Also, the brand claims a 1ms GtG response time, a 10-bit colour depth, and a wide colour gamut coverage (Adobe RGB: 95%, DCI-P3: 98%, sRGB: 137%).

Connectivity is handled by two HDMI 2.1 ports and a single DisplayPort 2.1. The latter is required to utilise the 5K resolution at its 180Hz overclocked limit. As reported by Prad, the company is also addressing the high-resolution enthusiast segment with a pair of new dual-mode switchable displays. The first is a 32-inch 4K unit that supports up to 360Hz, while the second is a 27-inch 5K panel with a maximum refresh rate of 180Hz. Both models use a dual-frequency mode that lets users prioritise either pixel density or raw speed, depending on the task at hand. Notably, the 27-inch 5K model is expected to offer seamless switching to WQHD (1440p) resolution.

The mobile productivity market hasn't been overlooked either. AUO is introducing a new 16-inch LTPS laptop panel with WQHD resolution and advanced power-saving capabilities. Similar to high-end smartphone displays, this panel can dynamically scale its refresh rate from 165Hz to 1Hz when viewing static content. This ultra-low-power state is intended to extend battery life in mobile devices.

Beyond that, AUO is leveraging its MicroLED expertise to showcase the technology's versatility across various sectors. This includes a massive 54-inch transparent signage display integrated into a retail showcase, as well as a fully rollable MicroLED screen designed for space-saving in-vehicle entertainment. The manufacturer is also bringing these high-end optics to the public transport sector, developing 16.1-inch transparent, double-sided displays for trains that can overlay travel information and safety alerts directly onto window surfaces without obstructing the view.

Leading the announcement is the company's first 1040 Hz Mini LED gaming monitor, alongside a premium 31.5-inch 4K OLED model designed in collaboration with Bang & Olufsen. The specific number of dimming zones remains undisclosed.

TCL also expanded its mainstream offerings with the 27-inch 27C3A Pro, a more affordable HFS display. The 27-inch model delivers a 4K resolution at 165 Hz (switching to 320 Hz at 1080p) and features 2304 local dimming zones.
