Gigabyte launches Aorus GeForce RTX 5090 Infinity 32G with Hyperburst cooling

Following on from its debut at CES earlier this year, Gigabyte is now ready to launch the new Aorus GeForce RTX 5090 Infinity 32G graphics card. This new flagship card uses the Windforce Hyperburst cooling system, with a “double flow through” thermal layout.

The Windforce Hyperburst system uses two primary fans, along with a 33mm “Overdrive” fan hidden in the centre of the shroud. This third fan operates on a dedicated curve and activates automatically during peak GPU loads to provide additional airflow. Gigabyte states that the Double Flow Through design, paired with a doubled hollow-out backplate, delivers up to 58% more airflow than traditional backplate designs.

Technical specifications for the Aorus Infinity model include a boost clock of 2730MHz, a noticeable increase over the 2407MHz reference speed. The card is equipped with 32GB of GDDR7 memory on a 512-bit interface. The thermal assembly comprises a large vapour chamber in direct contact with the GPU, superconducting heat pipes, and high-performance composite-metal grease. For secondary components such as VRAM and MOSFETs, Gigabyte has applied server-grade thermal-conductive gel.

The exterior features a die-cast metal shroud and backplate inspired by aerospace nacelle designs. Measuring 330mm in length, the card is more compact than the 360mm Aorus Master variant. Additional features include Gigabyte's signature RGB Halo lighting, a 16-pin power connector, and dual-BIOS functionality.

KitGuru says: Like most flagship RTX 5090s, this one is likely to be quite expensive, but at least you get a rather unique-looking GPU.
