AOC has launched the Q27G4KDP OLED gaming monitor in China, featuring a dual-mode design that lets users switch between QHD at 540Hz and HD at 720Hz.

According to DisplaySpecifications, the AOC Q27G4KDP uses LG's 4th-generation OLED panel with a 4-stack Primary RGB Tandem structure and AGLR (anti-glare low reflection) technology. The 27-inch WOLED panel provides native 10-bit colour, 99.5% DCI-P3 gamut coverage, and a factory-calibrated average ΔE < 2. According to AOC, the monitor achieves a peak brightness of 1500 nits in HDR highlights and carries the VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification. For eye comfort, the unit incorporates hardware low-blue-light technology and is TÜV-certified as flicker-free.

AOC specifies a grey-to-grey response time of 0.02ms. The Q27G4KDP is officially NVIDIA G-Sync compatible and features VESA ClearMR 21000 certification. Integrated gaming tools include Dark Field Control, Game Color, crosshair overlays, dynamic reticle options, and a real-time frame-rate counter.

Connectivity includes DisplayPort 2.1 and two HDMI 2.1 ports, along with USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports and an audio output. The included stand provides height, tilt, swivel, and pivot adjustments. Software features include Picture-in-Picture, Picture-by-Picture, and customisation via AOC G-Menu.

Philips has announced the Evnia 27M2D5901A, a 27-inch 5K dual-mode gaming monitor. Revealed at a press event in Croatia, the display shares many of the specs of the 27M2G5800 revealed a few weeks ago, but with a new Ambiscape lighting technology.

According to TFTCentral, the monitor features a Fast IPS panel capable of 5120×2880 at 165Hz and a secondary 1440p mode that increases the refresh rate to 330Hz. The Evnia 27M2D5901A delivers a pixel density of 218PPI and a 1ms GtG response time. The chassis is finished in white and includes a fully adjustable stand with height, tilt, swivel, and pivot capabilities.

Philips confirms that the panel supports 10-bit colour depth and covers 95% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut. For variable refresh rate support, the display is certified as Nvidia G-Sync compatible and uses adaptive-sync technology to ensure tear-free visuals. Connectivity options include two HDMI 2.1 ports, one DisplayPort 2.1 with UHBR20 speeds, and a USB-C port with 65W power delivery. The monitor also integrates two USB-A ports, a KVM switch, and dual 5W speakers.

A notable feature is the introduction of AmbiScape, an evolution of Philips' AmbiGlow technology. The monitor acts as a hub to synchronise its integrated rear lighting with external Matter-certified smart lights. Software customisation is handled through the Evnia Precision Center, which allows users to adjust display and lighting settings.

While an official product page has not yet been published, Philips confirmed at the event that the Evnia 27M2D5901A is expected to be available in Europe in July 2026. The retail price is set at €799.

AOC has introduced the AGON Pro AGP277QKDC, a 27-inch gaming monitor featuring a 4th Gen WOLED panel. The display offers native 1440p resolution at 540Hz, with a dual-mode feature that can reach 720Hz at 720p.

According to TFTCentral, the AGP277QKDC uses LG Display's latest Primary RGB Tandem WOLED technology. In this case, the panel features a 2560×1440 resolution, 0.03ms G2G response time, and a 1.5million:1 contrast ratio. In SDR mode, the panel reaches 335 nits, while HDR performance is certified under VESA DisplayHDR TrueBlack 500, with a peak brightness of 1500 nits at 1.5% APL.

The monitor supports 10-bit colour depth and covers 99.5% of the DCI-P3 colour space. For variable refresh rate performance, the unit is certified as NVIDIA G-Sync Compatible and supports adaptive-sync. User features include an anti-glare coating, flicker-free technology, and a stand with height, tilt, swivel, and pivot adjustments. I/O options include one DisplayPort 2.1 (UHBR20), two HDMI 2.1 ports, and two USB-A data ports. A USB Type-C port is also included, supporting DP Alt mode, data, and 65W power delivery. Philips has introduced the Evnia 27M2G5800, a 27-inch gaming monitor featuring a dual-mode Fast IPS panel. The display allows users to switch between a native 5K resolution for high-fidelity tasks and a high-refresh QHD mode for competitive gaming. 

According to ITHome, the Evnia 27M2G5800 has a native resolution of 5120×2880, with a pixel density of 217 PPI. In 5K mode, the monitor supports a native 165Hz refresh rate, which can be overclocked to 180Hz. Alternatively, the display can be toggled to a 2560×1440 QHD mode to unlock refresh rates up to 330Hz.

Philips rates the display at a peak brightness of 500 nits and a 1000:1 contrast ratio. It features VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification and supports adaptive sync, including official G-Sync compatibility. Also, the brand claims a 1ms GtG response time, a 10-bit colour depth, and a wide colour gamut coverage (Adobe RGB: 95%, DCI-P3: 98%, sRGB: 137%).

Connectivity is handled by two HDMI 2.1 ports and a single DisplayPort 2.1. The latter is required to utilise the 5K resolution at its 180Hz overclocked limit. The monitor also features a USB hub with one USB-B upstream port and two USB-A downstream ports, along with a 3.5mm headphone jack. Integrated software features include Shadow Boost, Smart Crosshair, and Smart MBR. It is currently listed at 4999 yuan (£544).

TCL held a major display showcase this week, debuting a suite of high-performance monitors that push the boundaries of refresh rate and panel technology. Leading the announcement is the company's first 1040 Hz Mini LED gaming monitor, alongside a premium 31.5-inch 4K OLED model designed in collaboration with Bang & Olufsen. While these units are initially launching in the Chinese market, they represent a significant leap in the “dual-mode” display trend.

The highlight of the event (via Leikeji) was TCL's new 31.5-inch OLED+ monitor, designed to compete directly with Samsung's latest QD-OLED offerings. This screen features a 4K resolution (3840 x 2160) at a 240 Hz refresh rate, but it also includes a “dual-mode” capability that allows it to reach 480 Hz at 1080p. TCL is marketing this as “OLED+” because of its vertical sub-pixel layout, which aims to solve common text clarity issues and reduce the “purple tint” glare typically found on older OLED panels. The display boasts a 1300-nit peak brightness, 10-bit colour depth, a near-instant 0.03 ms G2G response time, and a premium audio system co-designed by Bang & Olufsen.

For esports enthusiasts, TCL introduced the 27P2A Ultra Mini LED monitor that sets a new industry standard for speed. While its native resolution is 1440p at 550 Hz, the dual-mode function enables it to reach a staggering 1040 Hz at 720p. This monitor uses TCL CSOT's proprietary HFS (IPS-type) panel and “Tmoc Super Dynamic Sharpness” tuning to ensure motion remains clear even at such extreme frame rates, promising a 1ms G2G response time spec and 0.1ms MPRT. The specific number of dimming zones remains undisclosed.

TCL also expanded its mainstream offerings with the 27-inch 27C3A Pro, a more affordable HFS display. The 27-inch model delivers a 4K resolution at 165 Hz (switching to 320 Hz at 1080p) and features 2304 local dimming zones. This provides an exceptional 2200-nit peak XDR brightness, paired with the 1 ms G2G response time spec, a 0.2 ms MPRT spec, and 10-bit colour depth.

Pricing for the P2A Ultra is still undisclosed, but the X3A will cost 5999 yuan, and the 27C3A Pro (£649) will cost 3199 yuan (£346).
